He heard a song on the radio some time in the 90s or 2000s that he fell in love with, but after breaking his phone, he lost the download he had of it. He said it's now his life mission to figure out what that song was. All he remembers is:
-He heard it in the 90s or mid-2000s
-It was probably pop/rock and probably wasn't country (but he won't rule that out)
-When he first heard it he swore the vocals were Bon Jovi, but they weren't
-The artist's last name had some association with a tool (e.g. he kept coming up with the last name "Carpenter" but he said that wasn't it), and the first name was something common
-The song was uplifting and the lyrics had to do with going home or traveling, but he can't remember specifics
Any ideas?

We may just never know.
So today, I reached another milestone in my Korok gathering: 450
I am officially past the halfway point of this thing. I’ll probably start using a guide (or at least the interactive IGN map I use to track them) sometime in the future.

Such a great song and just thought on sharing it.
Band is/was mainstream/popular, not obscure. Pop or rock genre. Exciting tempo, but not hard or aggressive. Might be late 90s, but I'm not sure so I'll just say 80s-90s. The chorus goes "ooooh-ooh-ee", with the beginning "ooh" being very similar to the "ooh" in Bon Jovi's Runaway, but it continues longer into "ooooh-ooh-ee". I think the portion is sung in harmony with 2 or more vocals. The rest of the Bon Jovi song is unlike the song I'm thinking of, but I use it as reference because it keeps coming on my radio and I confuse it with the song in my head.
