A list of puns related to "Heriot Watt University"
Iβm a Malaysian looking at studying in Scotland (Heriot-Watt University) to do B.Eng Mechanical Engineering. What is some good advice for living and studying in Scotland that I might not have been told by the school?
Howβs the community like? Are the students known to be easy going or do they prefer to keep to themselves?
Whatβs the night life like? For someone who doesnβt enjoy pubs much.
How safe is the area? Is there a lot of discrimination (racial etc) to foreigners? In my case- to Asians.
I know the University is recognised in the UK. What comes to mind off the top of your head when you hear βHWUβ?
Any answers are greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time.

Hi,
I am hoping to complete an MSc in structural engineering via distance learning, and Surrey and Heriot-Watt are among the only two universities in the country to offer it.
Does anyone have any advice which one I should choose?
Both a mid-ranked, semi-decent unis, but importantly they both offer accredited engineering MScs which will help me get chartership.
Thanks for your help.
Jake
I have received an unconditional offer from both universities for Masters in Digital Marketing and was looking for advice on which one to choose and why. Also wanted to know which university has a better employability rate and whether the ranking of universities matter in today's job market in the UK.
I heard England based universities are considered above Scotland based universities when it comes to the job market in the UK. Is this true? Thanks in advance for the guidance!
Dear Redditors!
I have some queries in my mind and I thought it would be better if I would ask you guys. First thing first, I am from Pakistan and I will be self-funding my masters so your guidance will help me a lot. So here are the questions;
I intend to pursue Masters in Construction Project Management (MSc. Full Time) and right now I have admission offers from Queen University Belfast (Russell Group) and Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh for Sep 2021 intake. Both universities have good course content which meets my needs. I just want to know which university is most suitable considering reputation in industry, employability and teaching quality. In a nutshell I want to ask which university I should choose.
I have 2 years of construction industry experience in Pakistan (been working on some major projects as a Site Engineer). I would be really grateful if you could tell me about the software skills and interpersonal skills one should have to improve his employability?
I choose construction project management for my post graduate studies because I have been told by my teachers and friends that I have excellent management and interpersonal skills (I was actively involved with university administration in event organization etc. which might have persuaded them to make such remarks) while lagging a bit on complex design and hard core civil engineering part. Also my love for reading and writing (documentation) also played a part in the decision. Will these skills be helpful? What should I work on for finishing strong in a UK institute? Is this the right reason?
My internet research has shown me that Belfast is more affordable as compared to Edinburgh for an international student who will be working to earn the living expenses while studying full time. Should it matter?

Reddit-ors! As someone who started off as a drug designer in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries I have always had a keen interest in natural products. Consequently I have worked for many years in the use of plant and natural products for things like improving human health, colours, food ingredients, shelf life extension etc. Over the last decade or so I have become passionate about fully utilizing crops and plants and am leading efforts into promoting and realizing a circular economy approach to agriculture and industry. A circular economy is an alternative to a traditional linear economy (make, use, dispose) in which we keep resources in use for as long as possible and get the most use out of them, then recover and regenerate products and materials at the end of each service life. Can we take this forward in plant and crops science, and industries?
I think sustainability is key to our continued survival and lifestyles. I am on the Sense About Scienceβs Plant Science Panel (http://bit.ly/plantpanel), where you can put questions and opinions for response from researchers. The Panel is made up of over 50 independent plant science researchers. You can ask questions to them on Twitter (@senseaboutsci #plantsci) Facebook or using this online form. Answers are sent back within a couple of days and posted online. The Panel has answered close to 400 questions over the last three years and it's a great want to cut through the noise around what can sometimes be a really polarised debate.
I will be back at 12 am EDT (5 pm GMT, 9 am PST) to answer all your questions.
Hello, I would like to know how is the relationship between Edinburgh Uni and Heriot Watt. Is it normal for a student to pursue a study in one of them and then start another program in the other university?
I'm asking because I want to study an MSc in Artificial Intelligence at Edinburgh University but I did not get accepted. However I got accepted for the MSc in Data Science at Heriot Watt, so I'm considering to start with DS at Heriot Watt and apply again to Edinburgh University once I finish Data Science.
Would you recommend me to do so? Or is there any kind of issue to start at Heriot Watt and then go to Edinburgh University?
Hi, I'm applying for Heriot-Watt University, January batch and I'm pretty nervous about it. I have some questions about the accommodation, part time jobs and some other stuff. Would anyone please help me?
