Sorry if this is the worng place to post this, but i was trying to update my htc dream to android 2, with root, and i found links to the files, but none work. does anybody here know where i should go to get the files to get android 2 running on my htc dream?
I have the update.zip file. but whenever i go to the recovery to install it, i get an error. the phone is running android 1.0 and i want it on at least 1.5 but it won't do it. why?

After my exec I moved to the first Android phone... The black one is in amazing condition. One white one in decent condition but no battery (my Wife's one) and the other white one has no battery and appears to be stuck in a boot loop (best friends one)
As a job lot is this worth much?

Like, not to sound like an idiot here, but i'm not paying 20 dollars to unlock a 13 year old phone. that might not even work anyways.

Its the first ever Android phone. But It needs mobile data to be setup. I got mobile data, but 3g does not work where I live, so I can't setup it. Is there a way to skip the setup? I think it runs android 1.6 or something similar.
I recently thought it would be fun to revisit the birth phone of android or torture myself in the process. I picked it up off shopgoodwill for a cheap price and have it shipped to me. Only problem is it did not come with a charger, So now I'm hunting one so I can charge the phone. The problem im having is I don't think its a standard Mini USB cause of the odd shape on the bottom of the phone, but all the sellers say mini usb for the G1 and the charger end does not look the same.
So if anyone could help me out and point me in the right direction would be very very happy.
By far the best experience I've had in VR. If you can get your hands on a steering wheel with force feedback you should definitely try this!
I just thought I would throw this out there to see if anyone else is having any similarities to my own. I'm sure everyone's experience will differ but since purchasing the Vive I have noticed that my dreams are noticeably more vivid.
I was taught in school that dreams are the brain trying to basically defragment portions of your experiences that otherwise don't make sense to the subconscious. Personally, I feel like psychology is not a hard science. BUT having said that, it is undeniable that after playing with this thing for a solid month that my dreams have changed. They are now easy to remember and incredible. The correlation that cements this for me is that I now move in my dreams via teleportation (ala The Lab, Job Simulator, Budget Cuts, Vanishing Realms). I am not unhappy with this, rather the contrary, I am excited to sleep. Life can be really weird sometimes and introducing this "thing" into my life has definitely made me look at the world differently.
Anyhow, just wondering....

Hai guise I has a new roms 4 u guise to enjooy!!!!!!!!111! I just found out u can cook ur own roms 2 minutes ago so heres mine. I call it the SuperAmazingSpecialAmzingBestSuperBestROM, or SuperAmazingSpecialAmzingBestSuperBestROM 4 short!!! its suuuuuuper fast and suppppper stable and definitely wont brick ur phone!!!!!!!111! + it has its own recovery and kernel, screw u linux, only hackers use linux (not working)
