A list of puns related to "Symbian"
>The emulator is published on Google PlayStore. You can use this as stable version if you are not aiming for cutting edge changes regularly on Github.
A Symbian OS emulator for Android.
>EKA2L1 is a Symbian emulator, available for 64-bit Android with experimental support for 32-bit phones. The emulator tries to emulate multiple versions of Symbian. Currently it supports the following: S60v1, S60v3 and S60v5, with the most compatible devices in OS order: N-Gage, 5320 and 5800.
>While the compability is still growing, it already runs a large number of software rendered games, with custom key mappings and frame rate adjusting. See https://12z1.com for more information. EKA2L1 is an open source project, you can view source code at: https://github.com/EKA2L1/EKA2L1

NS Basic/Symbian was an implementation of BASIC for Symbian OS devices. Development was done on Windows, creating apps which would execute using the StyleTap runtime.
It's a miracle this even exists.
The experience of resurrecting this software is similar to the odyssey of Mason Mark, detailed here.
Feel free to look at the code, try to run it and have fun.
Go ahead and open issues - I won't be fixing any of them.
Seriously, it's 10 years since I've looked at the source.
The desktop side of the app was developed using Visual BASIC 6.
The runtime was developed using MetroWerks CodeWarrior and StyleTap. Much of the code is shared with NS Basic/Palm.
NS BASIC for Symbian was released in 2007 and was developed until 2009.
The website is still around.

Basically I am curious of what Symbian OS can do these days outside calling and texting. I found an older Nokia and I want to make some sort of detox and I am interested if Symbian will be able to handle some music, podcasts, some email and whatsapp.
<3 Hello new friends!

Just discovered this today, acquired my first symbian phone (nokia e52) and as expected, couldn't install anything because of invalid certificates, and so i tried the famous norton hack, but no matter where i downloaded it from, norton itself would keep saying its own license was expired no matter how many times i tried hard resetting the phone and prevented me from accessing the quarantined list to proceed patching the phone.
There's another hack by the same developer i believe, which still works to this day, and had i known this sooner it would've saved me a lot of headaches, so i'm posting this to those who are currently in the same boat.

Just follow instructions from there, and make sure to use the version of rompatcher from that site, i tried with one from the norton hack didn't work.
edit: would also like to add when first trying to install any .sis/.sisx before patching, you're going to have to keep juggling years until you get one that allows you to install said file, the range that i found to have worked for me is 2007-2014, and make sure to have the day and month set as 15th of june, because i read somewhere else that certificates could expire in quarter 1 or 2 of a year
Hey everyone, I want to learn how to develop apps for old Nokia SymbianOS devices, and I'm unsure what language to use and applications and tools required. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction to some tools and a recommended language to develop for? I'm a beginner and I want to learn!
I've heard of Qt but I'm gonna leave it to you guys because you guys clearly know more than me. I'd love to hear your recommendations!
Many thanks, UltraBlue-FalconWing

I've been seriously nostalgic for a Nokia E90 lately. Now I know it's old and won't be totally usable in today's high tech environment but honestly, how bad would it be? I don't have high expectations.
I'm guessing I could get google and hotmail sync'd up, SMS, MMS. I can load up mp3's. That's all I'm after.
Web browsing will suck.
Are there any working options for maps and navigation?
hi, is there any way to watch youtube videos on symbian belle? please help!
The title is kinda like German so I believe it's a German game. You play a series of mini-game with a beard man, when you win, you got 500,000 dollars/euros/something something. But if you lose, the money will go into next show (next game). The mini games that I remembered are trivias, ice hockey, drive nails into a wooden brick, basketball, soccer and many more.
Does anyone know how to update the software on Nokia E52. I can't use youtube, Ovi store, web browser or any other internet application. My software version is 033.002 and date of software is 10th February 2010. I don't know what to do. I saw people on youtube can normally use Facebook, youtube or any other internet service on this phone but they have new software versions. I spent 10 days searching but I didn't change anything. Did anyone have a similar problem? How you update your Symbian phones?
Hello!
I have Nokia 808, and want to flash Nokia Belle Feauture Pack 3 CFW. But it is only in English and Russian :( . I need other language (Polish and France). And where are translations (language files) in original firmware (Nokia Belle Feauture Pack 2) from Nokia? I want to transfer them to NBFP3.
I have Nokia Cooker 3.4, and Windows 7.
Please, help me!
