A list of puns related to "Great Lakes Megalopolis"
Hey guys. I thought I was keeping track of this release close enough, but apparently not. Both rightstuf and amazon say this is "out of stock". It's been a week since the release date. Did something happen?
ATTENTION: THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS SPECULATION IN ITS ENTIRETY. DO NOT TAKE WHAT I SAY AS FACT. THIS DOES NOT REFLECT THE PLANS FOR THE GREAT LAKES GOVERNMENT THAT THE KALTERKREIG TEAM HAS FOR A FUTURE UPDATE.

As the fire rises across the former United States, the disparate republics in the legacy of the former US seem to increasingly threaten one another. The most terrifying issue with this development is that with the new Progressive Government in power over the AUS, the conflict seems to begin to take a similar shape to that of the Second Weltkreig. On the one side, the Titanic power of the AUS has largely sated the demands of the few remaining dissidents, and is increasingly aggressive in it's posturing to retake their lost lands, while the Liberal Democrats in New England, and Republican Party in the PSA seem to be equally postured to fight back to near-death against the new Kingfish.
The Great Lakes Government, as the reconstruction government begins to step away in favor of a new Republic, is caught directly in the center of the crossfire. With near-equal swaths of it's population in favor of one side or the other. However the new government cannot betray it's former Canadian occupiers due to their frequent remaining agents among the Great Lakes cabinet. Though outward debate concerning the economy seem to dominate the discourse of the state, internally away from prying eyes, the parties also differ on how to handle the dissidents within the mandate.
Furthest ledt on the political spectrum is the Democratic Farmer-Labor party. Their progressive stance seems to have the most favor among dissident elements of the DSA. Though Hall, himself, insists on the continued solidarity of the class struggle within the GLG, many members of the organization would be more supportive of the actions of a progressive government, however the actions of the Young Americans League, dissident sympathizers to MacArthur's failed regime, would be further enraged, and may attempt a coup during wartime. Outwardly the Farmer-Labor party emphasizes the importance of robust social programs and often cleverly enacts policies similar to those the IWW had pushed during the war.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Republican Party has yet to rend it's schism between the Establishment Liberals, and the hardline anti-communist MacCarthyites. Their hardline rhetoric seems to have the most fa

Anecdotally, I've noticed that there seem to be a fair amount of reports from Great Lake States such as Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and New York in the USA
While looking for more information on a sighting that I witnessed in 2012 I came across this article: https://www.hourdetroit.com/science-topics/pattys-triangle-remains-among-michigans-most-baffling-ufo-sightings/
Just like this report I had seen a triangle formation of lights in the sky of the Great Lake States.
For Michigan in particular I notice that mass sightings aren't uncommon. For example this sighting from the 90s was an experience shared by many: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.freep.com/amp/3078683002
I'm wondering, do any of the members of this subreddit have ideas as to why these areas seems to be a common place for sightings?
And for members who live in this region, could you tell us your personal experiences?
Thanks everyone!
I recently moved to Cleveland, which is on Lake Erie. I have been sailing for a few years on decent sized inland lakes and the Thousand Islands but this is my first season sailing on one of the Great Lakes. I have a Ranger 26. To me the waves here are a challenge. The wavelengths are short, the waves often come from multiple directions and even though the waves are only 4-8 ft I get thrown around, lose speed and have trouble navigating. It seems for people on other bodies of water they are able to navigate around waves but here I struggle because the waves come so rapid fire. Any suggestions? If youβve experienced this before how were you able to improve?
For example, are the beaches in NJ or MA more warm, and can you comnfotably swim that far north on the Atlantic and where are the most comfortable warm beaches in the US (Hawaii or Florida) and is the gulf side of FL more comgortable than teh atalntic side?
So thanks to the TPSLF I filed my form (via fax) to FedLoans this past week, expecting forgiveness and a refund of all payments from Oct 2017 through February 2020.
My current servicer is Great Lakes and they issued me Interest forms 1098-E for all of those years and I took a deduction for interest paid.
When my loan gets transferred to FedLoans, Great Lakes will no longer be my servicer.
When FedLoans refunds my 29 payments ... What happens to my prior year tax deduction? I assume it goes away.... And if my refund was issued by Great Lakes... It would be pretty simple for them to issue corrected 1098-E forms....
But they won't be issuing a refund.... FedLoans will.
Will FedLoans issue 1098-E with negative values? Will they 'transfer' the information back to Great Lakes for them to make the correction?
Then the follow on question... Will I owe extra tax for 2017,18, 19, and 20? Probably.
Will I owe interest? Maybe.
Will I owe penalties? In a perfect world I would hope not.... But the world isn't perfect.
This problem could be solved by a top down statement / correction from Congress and the Dept. Of Ed. With some support from the IRS that no penalties are due... Just tax and interest. But I think that will require positive action and promotion of this problem that almost everyone getting refunds will face.
