SVG vectors in a Phyllotaxis pattern (think sunflower like) made with the Maker.js library and node.js.
The vectors are converted to G-Code for CNC machining with VCarvePro and a fluting toolpath.
hey guys I have an educational license from Autodesk but I am not able to use the generative design option, so I looked into it, it said that educational license holders can also access it, but I am not able to ....help!!
Hey guys, so I teach a class on additive manufacturing and some of my students are unable to start their generative design studies. They did set everything properly, even the pre check mark is green but when they open the solve window the button solve is greyed out. Any ideas how to solve this ? 3 students have this problem currently.
I'm going to end up getting Solidworks for Makers no matter what but out of curiosity does it have a generative design option? It's something I've wanted to work with in the past.
I came across this typeface when researching automated type design. Does anyone know how it was produced?
I had a look online for some processing tutorials related to typography but I couldn't find anything that looked at making this kind of stuff.

Well, this is my first project using Blender. I'm migrating from Modo.
The idea is to use its modifiers to develop functional shapes, in this case, chairs.
All chairs have the same building block, but their individual structural layout is determined by a differently tuned sequence of modifiers.

I’ve had a generative design running for a good few hours now. It’s still on the first study which looks good enough. Is there a way for me to stop it before it’s complete and get the model the study is at right now ?
I am part of a 5 person team interested in creating a generative collection of NFTs. We currently have a web development team were working with, a smart contract dev, marketing/social media manager, community manager and an operations/finance person. We’re now on the look for an artist who can work with our art style and make our ideas come to life.
We’re leaning towards 2D art with humanoid style animals featuring a variety of attributes/traits. However, depending on your unique capabilities, we’re happy to adapt to the art to your strengths!
We are willing to negotiate on up-front pay vs equity in the project though we believe a combination of both would likely create the best incentive structure.

Hey all, I’m curious if anyone has some opinions on the use of generative design (G.D) in planning and design. It seems to be of growing research interest to some of the big names in urban place making. Generally G.D seems to use machine learning to create thousands of iterations based off of design constraints and parameters set by a programmer/ planner combo. An example is Delve produced by SidewalkLabs ( https://www.sidewalklabs.com/products/delve). Curious to hear your takes!
