A list of puns related to "Ford Expedition"
I'm looking for a nice cross country hauler for us to take trips in. Just the 2 of us but we like the room and a better ride than an econo-box. I'm looking for something that'll go 8-10 years and 150k miles and be reliable. I've had Fords in the past and never had any luck with any of them but I'm unsure of Chevy build quality. Any suggestions?
I'm towing my kiwi camper prolly 5000 pounds altogether with my '06 Ford Expedition Xlt and after about and hour and a half when I pulled off to fit gas I noticed the engine seemed to rumble and shake alot more than usual and the truck seemed like it wanted to turn off. Next stop it did the same thing then shut off. Let it rest. 100 miles later same thing and knocking started only when car is in first gear and idling low. Sounds like it could be a fan or something? Oil level seems good and color is good. Check engine light is on now. Starts up fine. What could it be?
Iβm looking at ordering an Expedition in the next week or two and am eligible for A-plan through my father-in-law. Based on the online configurator, the MSRP is around $68K. How much of a discount can I expect with A-Plan?
My understanding is the plan is calculated using the invoice price - dealer holdbacks and marketing + a nominal program participation fee.
It has 270,000 miles. It runs decent. My college I'm transferring to is 40 miles on the interstate one way, 4 days a week. The only thing holding me back is my transportation. I would like to avoid a car payment. What are my odds? Thank you.
The halogens are just awful on this thing... unfortunately. This truck is my wife's truck and she complains about night driving all the time as a result. My vehicle has HIDs and it's insanely brighter at night and she never complains when driving it. I wanted to get some replacement lights for her truck for Christmas but I'm not super savvy when it comes to headlights.
It looks like LEDs are just replacement bulbs and that's it? I just find the right size and plug them in and bam... good to go? I've also read that because of the style of headlight assembly on the expedition, LEDs might not be a good option because they don't show light on all sides or sometthing?
HIDs are what I have and love but I didn't realize they required a whole kit to install. The main thing I'm worried about with the kit is it seems like I'd need to somehow drill a hole into the cap/cover that protects and seals off the headlights so I can fish the HID through?
Has anybody here replaced the halogens on their 2019 Expedition or know what I should go with? Are there any videos or sites out there specific to this make/model I can reference?
Thanks in advance!
Iβm using the key I always have for years but the system is being triggered still. Any ideas how to reset, bypass or completely remove the passive anti theft system?
I have the opportunity to buy this vehicle for $2,500. It is rust free, from southern states. Interior is very nice a well as the outside. It looks very well kept.
My concern is the 5.4 Triton with 230k miles. If it does go to shit, how much would it cost to fix? Is it worth even buying it?

I have a 2007 ford expedition that needs 2 pulleys, a pulley tensioner, and belts, the mechanic wants 700 for parts alone, is it worth it
Hi all, my Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 2004 wonβt crank, the red light for anti theft passive system is clearly flashing very fast and not allowing the car to crank. The key is the one Iβve been using since 2004.
Any ideas how to reset this thing?
Iβve tried leaving key & battery on for a few (~15) mins, terminals disconnected for about the same time and nothing.
Thanks for any help
Hey, I have a 2007 ford expedition, I took it to a mechanic and he says it needs 2 pulleys, a pulley tensioner, belt(s), he also said it's gonna be 700 for parts alone, does this seem right?
P.s. this is after he misdiagnosed it once which ended up costing me 500
Need help with direction.
Car began throwing a P0305 code (5th cylinder misfire) on hills. Husband switched the 5th and 6th cylinders coils (doesn't have wires) to see if it moved the code to the 6th cylinder but instead it threw at P0303 and P0304 code. So he switched the coils from the 4th and the 1st to see if it changed the P0304 code and now the car won't start.... He switched the 4th and 1st back and car still won't start. Electronics work, car starts doesn't Rev then dies.
Thoughts? Where to go next? We are about 20 miles from the nearest mechanic and need this car fixed asap to get kids around safely.
Thank you.
UPDATE:
We ended up going with a mobile mechanic.
The issue is complicated.
Fuel Injectors aren't working properly. 2 cylinders were flooding with fuel, 3 more spark plugs black from running too rich.
In addition to that, a mouse apparently had made himself at home in the air intake manifold and had chewed some wires as well.
The Thermostat Housing was also warped
Overall we have had to replace:
Fuel Injectors Fuel Filter Spark Plugs Air Intake Manifold Thermostat Housing Throttle Position Sensor Repairing Misc Wires
Mechanic is working on putting it back together today, hopefully all is fixed after all those repairs...
