A list of puns related to "Dragon Quest VII"
Howβs it going. Looking to do some early spring cleaning. Feel free to ask for more pics. Cases are in good condition but show some wear and I think the DQ4 is the only one that isnβt the original. I trade a lot in the Yugioh and PokΓ©mon subreddits if you want to check my profile for trade feedback. Iβll cover shipping.
Chrono Trigger is the only remaining game. Asking 105 and Iβll cover tracked shipping.

I'm playing through DQXI at the moment, but I am planning to play the rest of the games as I like to do with many RPG series. While I have found other comparisons of the two versions online, I like getting personal input from people and really conversing to see which version of a game suits me best. I'm just asking for some community thoughts on which version of the game is preferred and why. Of course I'd appreciate no spoilers, but if there are story differences that would be nice to know but please only say if you find the differences better in one version over the other. I'll appreciate any input at all just to see why people prefer one more than the other and from there I'll try and decide which to go with. Thanks!
I've been playing through the Dragon Quest Games in order since April of last year, and I beat I-III (on switch), IV-VI on DS, and now VII on 3ds. I've played a few Dragon Quest games before playing through them in order, but I'd never beaten a Dragon Quest Game, so this seemed like a great opportunity. After playing XI a few years ago and getting to Act 3, I decided to pick up all the DS ones, but I'm just now getting through playing them all.
Here are some Spoiler Free thoughts on the pros and cons of this amazing game (VII), in my opinion.
Cons:
Pros:
Are these stored in the game cartridge itself or in the 3DS's SD card? Thanks!
I have access to a 3DS which technically gives me access to the entire DQ library. I'm on an old school RPG kick and was thinking of trying to pick up one of the ones in the title.
The reasoning for narrowing it down to those because I don't want to go 4 and below due to the extremely old school design. I think those would end up being more frustrating than interesting. I've already finished 8/11 (not that I know Japanese to play the 3DS 11 anyway) and finally 10 is an MMO.
I'm not against being recommended a particularly good spinoff title.

I'm playing through the game for the first time on 3ds, and I've played 1-6 before this. I just got the big book of monsters, and it says that you can recruit monsters. Does this work like V did where you have a small chance to recruit them to go to that village when you beat them? I'm just curious how it works (so I don't miss anything), so please try not to include any spoilers in your response, as I've so far played this entire game without resorting to a guide.
So far I'm really loving this game, and I'm finding it to be very friendly to playing without any sort of guide.
I am looking to sell my extra set of Dragon Quest game for the 3/DS. I have games IV thru IX. Prices are firm for now, as these are cross-posted elsewhere. All prices include shipping (to ConUS only please).

Looking for cases and manuals for some on my loose titles. Looking to keep total for each game under $30.
I've been slowly working my way through Dragon Quest VII, and I'm taken aback about how mature the different short stories are. I'm up to Buccanham, and it's so striking how fantastical yet grounded the storyline is. I can imagine how hard it would be to >!give birth to your child for it only to be essentially kidnapped and possibly murdered by a wicked person. It reminds me of the book of Exodus or Luke where Pharaoh and King Herod respectively and systematically hunted down newborn boys to prevent the rise of Israel's savior during each time.!<
So far, in terms of the quality of the story and characters, DQ7 is probably my favorite at the moment. The short stories have a lot of believability and emotion. They have fantastical elements, but they largely serve as framing devices instead of the typical and trivial Shonen you find in most JRPGs. My favorite ones have been all of them: >!Regenstein, Faraday, Alltrades Abbey, Greenthumb Gardens, Al-Balad, El Ciclo, Wetlock, Providence, Hubble, and Vovograd.!<
I would compare this almost to One Piece in terms of how the plot grows and pays off. And if each island or set of islands had their own game, you could compare it to the Trails series. Given that the game came out in August 2000, that's really something.
Have you played through Dragon Quest VII? What did you think of the short story format? Did you have a particular favorite story? How do you think the game handled the storytelling combined with the game play?
So this is a long shot but I'm looking to trade these games for specific things

The physical prices on Amazon got jacked up. Where can I find it affordable, physically or should I just settle for the digital?
So I played Dragon Warrior VII back when it was released on PlayStation. I beat it back then and did most of the post game except beat the bonus boss.
However, my question is, does Dragon Quest VII 3DS have any additional content that wasnβt in the PS version? I know the 3DS version streamlined the gameβs opening to speed it up. Just curious before I start pumping my time into the PS version.
As we plod on, discovering new worlds and uncovering fragments of stone tablets, more story unveils itself. I made it to Faraday Castle in the walkthrough I watched, so I'm a bit behind. This event ends 27 April.
First up, STORY! We continue our journey with Auster and co, and meet a few new companions along the way~ Like with the previous story quests, the monsters and bosses scale to your average party level.
Chapter 2:
Story Name | Boss |
---|---|
Continuing the Adventure | No Boss |
Frontline Village | No Boss |
Autonymus Goodwinding's Lab | No Boss |
Faraday Castle Attacking and Defending | Boss: Automaton |
Automaton Army's Decisive Battle | Boss: Slaughtomaton |
To eternity, Automations! | No Boss |
Chapter 3:
Story Name | Boss |
---|---|
The Roamers | No Boss |
To the Altar of the Gods | No Boss |
The Path We Should Take | No Boss |
Lightless Town | No Boss |
Another Future | Boss: Malign Vine & Writhing Roots (2) |
Chapter 2 introduces us to Automatons, who spawn on the overworld like the Halloween special summons, as well as the Slaughtomaton, the Megamon of the event. The Slaugtomaton is weak to Crack (to the absolute surprise of no one), and resists most other elements, so try to focus on Crack damage when possible! With Chapter 3, the Mallign Vine is a new megalite super-weak to Crack, as well as regular weak to Mera and Gira.
Both Chapters 2 and 3 have new tablets that can unlock a variety of rewards, including town residents, hearts, and furniture options. A new login bonus greets us with 1k VII medals and 1k gems. Also, each day you can challenge the Metal Dungeons to gain EXP for your team, if you didn't already get enough from the levelling campaign the past few weeks. And recruiting people to your town completes new quests which rewards you with tickets for the gacha! Nice!
Before getting to the VII gacha, there's a Halfiversary Round 2 gacha, featuring equipment from the Anniversary, Luminary debut, Dangerous Fruit, and Here There Be Dragons banners. Check out the links if you're interested in reading up mo

Hey, everyone. I got the true ending of Dragon Quest XI a little over a week ago. Joined the sub shortly after because I love the game that much. Now that I've beaten it, I'd like to ask for recommendations on which game in the franchise I should play next. Specifically, I'm considering getting Dragon Quest VII for the 3DS, Dragon Quest VIII for the 3DS, or Dragon Quest IX for the DS. Which of these games would you recommend the most and why?
Still searching for a job so with so much free time, I figured I'd get one of the longest DQ games played for the first time!
Any tips and tricks for a first time player of the game?
