Hi all, sorry if this is the wrong place.
We are moving out and need to steam clean the carpets. According to the real estate agent it needs to be as the title says. Is this legal? I've seen plenty of people state that they have done the steam cleaning themselves to cut costs which we desperately need to do. Are we being had by the agent?

I have noticed that since the beginning of the mandatory subway cleaning at the terminals, the cleanings don’t look all that effective.
I mean I give credit where credit is due to the workers taking time to do the required cleaning but what I see doesn’t convince me that the poles and seats are being thoroughly cleaned.
From what I have observed, all they are doing is taking a clear liquid and pumping it from an exterminator-looking holder and spraying the red cloth one time and wiping down multiple surfaces with that one spray ranging from the seats to the hand poles. Plus the red cloth looks very dry and I doubt its fully cleaning or doing anything to clean the bare germs.
I don’t know what is done at night during the shut down, but Im more concerned about the spread of things from not properly cleaning.
I had my flat professionally cleaned at the end of lease. The letting agent then cited literally everything in the flat as being not up to standard when the flat is in much better condition when I moved out than when I moved in save for a few plants that died over summer last year.
They are now trying to get me to pay their professional cleaning service and gardener to redo everything at cost to me.
Additionally I was notified of this yesterday and was told it needs to be done be monday which seems unreasonable to me.
My cleaning service guarantee has also expired since they have taken longer than promised to do the check out procedure.
What are my options here?
So you clean the razor and clean the facial hair area/complete face, apply shaving cream start shaving. Wash off with hot or cold water? Then apply after shave, then take a shower. Is this shaving right? How do you guys shave?
edit: rinsing the blade for hot water isn't effective for me lol

Wish I could find some sources on this, but personal experience here would do. Say baking soda is exposed to some high temps in storage (over 100F for multiple days/weeks/months). I've read this can lower its efficacy, but would is this only with regards to baking? Would it still work to absorb smells and as a cleaning agent? (my primary purpose for having it). Thanks!
