A list of puns related to "Artpop (song)"
Whenever I listen to a song from ARTPOP, I think to myself "wait this should become a single"
ALL songs from ARTPOP are just so well produced its fucking insame (Jewels and drugs included)
Born This Way, Chromatica, Joanne also had tons of "single potential" in my opinion, but ARTPOP is just out of this world.
Wanted to celebrate the recent revival of ARTPOP by asking some of my fellow Little Monsters what their favorite song is from this album, personally itβs in between Applause and Sexxx dreams, both amazing songs.
It's SO hard to pick. I LOVE Sexxx Dreams but Mary Jane Holland hits so different I can't comprehend it.
My assumption wasn't her disliking ARTPOP, I'm glad she is able to appreciate the record. It was more about how the media went after her when ARTPOP under-performed.
Many thought she was finished, Akon was already cancelling her, you had Television hosts calling the album "Artflop" and it wasn't a positive period. Thankfully, what saved her was her decision to try acting which led to "American Horror Story: Hotel" and her unforgettable performance at the Academy Awards. Afterwards, her career got a major boost and she's never stopped.
Some say Lady Gaga disliked the album for not performing on the charts which is not true. ARTPOP still went Gold, the singles (except for G.U.Y.) charted well and we must not forget "Joanne" sold less and Lady Gaga treasures it. It was more about how she was bullied by the media.
Iβve read a few places that art pops a good album however it do with around 4 songs removed.
What do you think these are?
Thanks!
Aura: βi hear you screaming, is it because of pleasure or toil?β
Venus: βuranus! don't you know my ass is famous!?β
G.U.Y.: βi'm best when i'm in love and i'm in love with youβ
Sexxx Dreams: βhelp me here, it was kinda trashy, 'cause i can't help my mind from going thereβ
Jewels Nβ Drugs: βthis family is stupid attractiveβ
MANiCURE: βlooking serial killer, man is a gonerβ
ARTPOP: βmy heart can beat with bricks and stringsβ
Swine: βyou're just a pig inside a human bodyβ
Donatella: βi'm gonna wear designer and forget your nameβ
Fashion!: βthere's a life on Mars where the couture's beyondβ
Mary Jane Holland: βi know that mom and dad think i'm a mess, but it's alright because i am rich as pissβ
Dope: βmy heart would break without you, might not awake without youβ
Gypsy: βlike dorothy on a yellow brick, hope my ruby shoes get us there quickβ
Applause: βnostalgia's for geeks, i guess sir, if you say soβ
As I've said, I've spent countless hours of my life listening and re-listening to Lady Gaga's first four albums since the beginning of this year (I've always known and liked Lady Gaga, but I couldn't name a song of her besides her singles. This year I tried listening to her full albums, and oh-my-god what a discovery).
I've always heard that Chromatica was Lady Gaga "returning to her roots" and that it's been a universally loved album.
I swear, I've tried many times, I can't get past how much I hate Stupid Love and Rain On Me. I can't even bring myself to finish those songs, let alone the album.
I must say that I also find myself absolutely incapable to like anything Ariana Grande has ever done, despite she is undoubtedly one of the greatest popstars of this generation.
Maybe I'm just old (lol, I'm 26) and couldn't bring myself to adapt to 2021's pop sound. That's entirely possible! I loved, loved, loved Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia, but I didn't fell in love with anything else within the last year. I really like Billie Eilish's style, but her newest singles seemed so boring to me.
This being said, what are your thoughts about this? Did you like Chromatica? Whether your answer is yes or no, why?
I don't know the majority of people's stance here, but i stand by what I said. Every song is so unique and relistenable and incredible in every way (except Jewels n drugs).
It's an album I constantly return to because I never get tired of it. Obviously each album is incredible in it's own right but Artpop is god tier.
Alright everyone I just realized something. Artpop is now not as underrated, which is on all accounts amazing as it is so good. However, another album of Lady Gaga's is underrated I think. The album I'm talking about is "The Fame". This is Gaga's first album, although it's only known for its singles and it being her first album. No one really appreciates all the songs in the album like they should. Just Dance, Love Game, Paparazzi, and Poker Face are all amazing songs. Although some of the best songs get overlooked. I mean one of the best songs, Money Honey, is never seen in the top 5 of most lists and I would like to know why.
This album is full of hits yet people only listen to it for the first four songs. Of course, there are two "bad" songs on the album such as Starstruck and Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say). Besides that though the whole album is a masterpiece. What do you guys think?
Joanne is also underrated, however, I believe that The Fame is far better than Joanne.
Hey guys! We all know that ARTPOP is one of Lady Gaga's best albums. Since Born This Way is getting a 10th Year Anniversary Edition this week Friday, I've been thinking: if BTW is getting a 10th Year Anniversary Edition this year, would ARTPOP also be getting a 10th year Anniversary Edition in 2023, and if so, what would it be like? I would like to know what your guys' ideas would be! My idea is that it would have a special album cover and some new tracks most likely. What are your ideas guys?
it's a bit tricky because ARTPOP has been rereleased without the song "Do What U Want", but i'm in search for ARTPOP with DWUW on it or for the urban outfitters exclusive. message me if selling! huge gaga fan :^)
Obviously we all want to hear it, but Lady Gaga went through some really hard times during this era, and decided not release it for many reasons. ARTPOP was a nr.1 selling album so it's not like she felt like "Nobody wants to hear it anyways."
At this point it's almost as if we're forcing her to release the album, even though she mad the decision long time ago to NOT release it. It's ultimately her choice. But at the end of the day there's nothing wrong with showing love for the album, but where do you guys draw the line?
Gosh has it been a minute, but welcome back! I'm excited to finally share the results for the final round of the ARTPOP Survivor. Now y'all have waited SO long to see the winner, so let's just get right to it!
With 28 (56%) out of 50 votes, our 2nd place song is...
>!Venus!<
This means that the official winner of the ARTPOP Survivor is...
>!G.U.Y.!<
Here is the official ranking of all of the tracks:
Thank you all so much for voting! This survivor was so much fun to host, and I'm sad that it's now ov-
Wait, what is this? Could it be? It seems that we've unlocked a...
That's right, y'all are not done voting just yet! In this bonus round, you will be voting to crown two songs with two different titles: Ms. ARTBOP & Ms. ARTFLOP. Ms. ARTBOP will go to the song you guys think deserved a better ranking, and Ms. ARTFLOP will go the song you guys think overstayed its welcome in the survivor. So you all ought to choose wisely.
Now then the time has come for y'all to ART-pop those pussies for one final time (for real) and fight to the death for your favorite tracks, because the bonus round of the ARTPOP survivor starts NOW!!!
Stick with me here. We all know Gaga was really disappointed with the way the Chromatica era happened despite the album itβs self being one of her best (IMO). She has acknowledged ARTPOP ACT II on Twitter recently (in a positive manner)and DJWS even confirmed that he has a meeting set with Gaga to discuss potentially reviving the project after she finishes filming House of Gucci. As we know large scale concert tours likely wonβt be happening again until next year and by then so much time will have passed since Chromaticaβs release that itβs just not realistic to expect her to tour for it then. I do however think that releasing ARTPOP ACT II as a sort of consolation prize/thank you to fans for sticking by her through her darkest times would be really amazing but Iβm not naive to the fact that Gaga isnβt always the best at fan service especially when she has multiple projects going on. But I guess as someone who is a huge Swiftie as well Little Monster Iβm hoping Gaga could take a queue from Taylor and give her fans something that they really want. Again this was just a passing thought, please donβt come for me.
Whatβs Your Pleasure? Is legit one of my favorite songs of all time and it definitely is the stand out on the album it shares its name with!
What are some other albums in your opinion where this is true? Diamonds and Pearls by Prince comes to mind too
I'm just wondering why all of the sudden ARTPOP is a chaotic album. I feel like people are putting electronic and industrial music in the same bag. You can also see it in the production credits, most of the people involved in the project are associated with Electronic music, and I don't feel the chaotic part of it, like for real. If we're stigmatizing it, I would most likely agree with it being psychedelic in some sort of way. I don't know..., elucidate me with your opinions.
Anyways, welcome back y'all! Before we get to the results of this round, let's take a look at some of my favorite comments of the round:
>"I can't believe im voting for this, but ive had a couple drinks and...oh my god*laugh*" - u/seanderlust , our Sexxx Dreams voter (tasteless, but funny)
>
>"my phart pop could mean anything β€οΈ don't vote g.u.y. unless you want to end up in heather's basement with stypop" - u/pheromenos , our ARTPOP voter (who's actually right for once in his life)
Now then, let's get to the results! The song with the most votes (7 out of 30, or 23.3%) this round is >!Gypsy!<, so farewell to that song. The ranking of the tracks is as follows:
>!Gypsy!<
MANiCURE
Mary Jane Holland
Fashion!
Swine
Donatella
Dope
Do What U Want (ft. [REDACTED])
Jewels N' Drugs (ft. Too $hort, Twista, & [REDACTED])
After two long days and a whopping 38 responses it is once again time for y'all to ART-pop those pussies and battle for your favorite tracks, because Round 2 of the ARTPOP Survivor starts NOW!!!
Having received 19 (50%) of the 38 votes, our first song to be eliminated is>! Jewels N' Drugs!<. The ranking is as follows:
Before we get to the results of this round, let's take a look at some of my favorite comments of the round:
>"vote me vote me dont be sweet" - u/SoloBaka , our G.U.Y. voter (clever. tasteless, but clever.)
>
>"Au RAH RAH RAH out of here" - an anonymous Aura voter (made me blow a small bit of air out of my nostril)
>
>"hey stypop, do you and chidi share a fridge in the basement? or do you get your own device? why would you get your own device tho, also have you guys contemplated escaping? feature this comment if you have xo" - u/pheromenos , our title track voter (Bold of you to assume that we have access to food down here. Also, ofc we've contemplated and even attempted escaping, but lack of food leads to lack of energy which is why we haven't tried in days.)
Now it's time for the results! The song with the most votes (10 out of 38, or 26.3%) this round is >!Sexxx Dreams!<. (Are you happy now, u/um___actually?) The ranking of the tracks is as follows:
6.>!Sexxx Dreams!<
Gypsy
MANiCURE
Mary Jane Holland
Fashion!
Swine
Donatella
Dope
Do What U Want (ft. [REDACTED])
Jewels N' Drugs (ft. Too $hort, Twista, & [REDACTED])
This means that we're down to the top 5 tracks (Aura, Venus, G.U.Y., Applause, & the title track)! Whatever order these tracks will be in is up to you to decide in the coming rounds.
So yeah, I'm late. Again. (But quite frankly after seeing how many of y'all voted for and wrote nasty comments about Venus, y'all kinda deserve it this time.)
Before we get to the results of this round, let's take a look at the one actually good comment from the round:
>"i wanted to say "if [song] doesn't win im gonna artpop my bussy off and repeatedly throw it at the host of this survivor as a sign of protest" but i actually dont know which song i want to see win" - u/SoloBaka , our G.U.Y. voter This is funny, but kinda scary too pls don't actually do this
Now it's time to announce the results! It was a really tight race, but with 16 out of 44 (36.4%), our eliminated song for this round is >!Applause!<. The ranking of the tracks is as follows:
>!Applause!<
ARTPOP
Aura
Sexxx Dreams
Gypsy
MANiCURE
Mary Jane Holland
Fashion!
Swine
Donatella
Dope
Do What U Want (ft. [REDACTED])
Jewels N' Drugs (ft. Too $hort, Twista, & [REDACTED])
Now that >!Applause!< has clapped its way out of the game and into the ranking with the rest of the eliminated songs, we are now down to the final two songs off of ARTPOP: Venus vs. G.U.Y. Aphrodite vs. Himeros. Space vs. Spelling. These two songs are neck and neck for the top spot, and it's up to you to decide who gets it! So for the final time, the time has come for y'all to ART-pop those pussies and fight to the death for your favorite track, because the final round of the ARTPOP survivor starts NOW!!!
