I enjoy pieces that have a heart-wrenching, dramatic quality to them. It doesnβt have to be from the baroque era; it can be classical or romantic!
Christmas is just around the corner and all the usual suspects will be dusted off and played. However I want to highlight what I think is an underrated Christmas Classic that Maestro Corelli composed for Cardinal Pietro Ottoboni. Everyone loves Messiah but I see this as a nice fresh alternative to listen to this Christmas. Happy Holidays everyone!
