As of today, Curt Hawkins' losing streak is currently at 265. I can't think of a better and more plausible way for Curt to snap his streak than by winning the Battle Royal. And he should do by last eliminating his long time best friend, Zack Ryder.
Some of the seeds have already been planted for this to happen and it totally works. On the February 4, 2019 episode of Raw, Curt and Zack have a backstage segment together. Curt is trying to understand why Zack wants to reunite with him. He tells Zack that he's lost over 250 matches in a row, over two years of losing, why would he want any part of that? Zack tells Curt that he himself is a loser too. Because after 13 years with the WWE, the production crew still can't spell his name correctly as it showed on his match graphics the previous week. Z-A-C-K! Not Z-A-C-K-H. Zack then reassures Curt that they've always been by each other's side and promises Curt they're gonna end his losing streak...together!
And now, most recently, Curt and Zack were featured in a post on WWE's Instagram page talking about WrestleMania 35 being in their own backyard, New York New Jersey. Both Zack and Curt mention the last time WrestleMania was at MetLife Stadium, they weren't even on the the WM card. Zack says this year will be different because all the loses won't matter because it's all about the wins. Zack says to Curt, "I've had my WrestleMania moment and now, I wanna share one with you."
So, it's WrestleMania Sunday at MetLife Stadium. The Battle Royal begins with all the lower to mid-card male talents from Raw, Smackdown, and even a few NXT/205 Live guys. It plays out like most Battle Royals do. A few spots here and there, two beefy dudes go face to face to hype the crowd. Mojo can bring his mirror so he can scream at himself some more when he gets eliminated. When No Way Jose is done, he can conga his way threw the crowd (with Otis as the anchor) back to gorilla. Hell, let Lacey Evans come out and catwalk that long ass ramp only to have to turn it right back around.
After all the hoopla, we get down to the final two competitors, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. The two take a moment and realize that they're the last two wrestlers in the ring. The crowds starts cheering. Zack suddenly has an idea and tells Curt to hurry and throw him ou
