...or they're actively hiding bug fixes from the PTR.

EDIT: The mutation on the PTR since this post was created has changed, meaning that my point below about that not changing is moot/negated. Rest of the post regarding bugs still stands, however the mutation has changed, which is good news. Thank you AGS.

The PTR has been out for a few days now, and there are numerous things that are red flags/extremely worrying about AGS's lack of focus and direction.

Before I begin, one positive: Mutators look to be difficult and are a welcome challenge. It appears that it does get much harder as the levels progress, and look to be actually difficult PvE content that will require gearing for and strategizing for. I look forward to this element.

Onto the less positive - let me give you a few examples of things that are mindblowingly either not working or still not working.

• Perhaps the most telling sign that no AGS employee has spent more than 10 minutes on their own PTR -- The 'Playtester Suspended Azoth' they give you for transportation doesn't actually work. It gives 0 azoth. A simple error? Yes. Not fixed after nearly a week of the PTR being out? Holy shit. This is especially mind-numbing in lieu of the fact that we're testing mutators, which are in dungeons in different zones and we need to move.

• Speaking of lack of focus, AGS mentioned that during the PTR cycle, an expedition will be mutated every 48 hours (https://www.newworld.com/en-us/news/articles/january-ptr-announce). We've had dynasty as the mutator since the start of the PTR... What's going on with that? Did you forget, or is it not 48 hours? Can we have some communication? [Since making this post, AGS have changed the mutation to Genesis -- Good news!]

• I wanted to try out the four new 'attunement' weapon perks on the PTR, and was able to get ahold of the added craft mods for 'Flame Attunement' (Weapon Shard). They do not work when trying to force the perk (tested it just before writing this post) - It takes your shard but acts as if there was nothing there (gives random perks). Why can't I force it? [To be completely clear -- this is obviously an acceptable fault, and what the PTR is for. The below four are not acceptable though, because these bugs are a few patches old.]

• Old Ring/Jewelry are still not fixed on the PTR. The bug that exists with them where you can't add a gem to the empty socket still has not been fixed. [EDIT: thanks /u/kaptainkeel -- Still not s

In the spirit of the holiday, I feel compelled to thank AGS for reigniting my passion for Guild Wars 2. I had fallen out of love with GW2 nearly 2 years ago, during which time I had found New World's trailer. I became enamored with what I thought NW was going to be and I was so blind by the new infatuation that I had puffed up my hopium to legendary levels.

In true puppy-love fashion, I dedicated as much of my free time as possible to testing NW in every stage (alpha, preview events, betas), advocating for NW, sweet-talking friends and family into getting the game, being understanding of AGS's actions, and defending those actions from valid scrutiny.

I had it in my head that when NW was released, that it would be a polished game upon delivery, and from the surface, it appeared polished. But as my Grandma always says, "A polished turd is still just a turd." There was very little evidence that the feedback provided during the testing phase was utilized by AGS and there were extensive threads with supporting evidence on known bugs/exploits, threads with hot debates that had players agreeing en masse about some topics (i.e. quest sharing/Company banking) and other topics that had a split (i.e. Stagger/Mounts). The alpha community was very active and vocal on the forums, for all the good it did the game.

Pardon me, I was about to go on a rant tangent. Back on point:

I ignored every red flag of a one-sided relationship because I loved what AGS was creating and I thought they loved it too. I could have deluded myself into believing that the AGS team was sincerely invested in their creation, that they loved what they were doing, and that they loved the player-base that was invested in their world---but I know what that kind of love looks like because I had witnessed it, experienced it, and been deeply involved with it in Guild Wars 2. Love for a gaming community looks like ArenaNet, not like AGS.

Having endured heartwrenching disappointment over the steaming pile that is New World, I found myself launching Guild Wars 2 again. I didn't think that I would be excited to return to Tyria. I thought loading in this time would be like every time before during these last two years---I'd hop in just to hop out in 10 minutes. But this time...I got caught up in map chat and had a friendly conversation. I had forgotten how nice the inhabitants of GW2 are. I found an event chain and teamed up with other players---we worked together instead of competing for the hig

JPM you suck! I am not giving up and eventually this shit will turn around (I hope). I am not super wealthy so this hurts a lot but I feel like I am so deep I cannot get out.

Coop is what I play this game for. Honestly, the PvP just isn't my jam.
I loved two person coop in ALB, but SD2s 5 person coop really knocked it out of the park and has been a great enjoyment for a lot of us.

I'll buy or preorder five copies the moment someone tells me the AG is five person coop.

Hellooo. I made an AG team for the first time and was wondering what ya'll thought and if you have any changes you would make. I like cheesy strats and I think it shows. I don't like the togekiss so if you have any suggestions pls lmk :). I'd still like to replace jirachi!

Man, I find it so frustrating; AI will exploit literally the smallest gap and doesn't have to even think about it and it feels like it's totally up to RNG whether reinforcements will help.

Meanwhile, this makes it look like a total cakewalk...

It's not that I can't finish this mission, but rather that I enter 4 with barely anything to get me through Phase A.

I dread the Operation Epsom campaign if it's even harder than this, so am I wasting my time?

Hallo zusammen. Ich hab letztes Jahr an meiner Schule Abitur gemacht. Im Zuge dessen habe ich auch ein 5. Abiturfach anrechnen lassen im Bereich Robotik / Informatik. Ich war zahlreiche male wegen Schulprojekten in Zeitungen, habe ein Buch geschrieben, dass sich immernoch jedermann kaufen kann und war sogar einmal im Fernsehen. Generell habe ich in meiner ehemaligen Schule viel geholfen bezüglich dieser beiden Themen und verschiedene AG's geleitet und Fachräume betreut. Praktisch wie ein Hobby. Nunja... jetzt bin ich weg - studiere halt. Die Schule ist nun auf mich zugekommen und fragt mich, ob ich vielleicht dort arbeiten möchte um die AG's weiterzuleiten und zu helfen wie vorher. Nun nicht mehr als Schüler, sondern als Angestellter. Jetzt steh ich vor der großen Aufgabe, einzuschätzen was ich an Stundenlohn möchte. Als Stundenrahmen wurde mir 10 mal 90 Minuten pro Monat vorgeschlagen. Vielleicht könnte mir da Reddit helfen. Schonmal vielen Dank.

I stayed by AGS and this game from beta.

I tolerated and lived with the bugs, exploits, and dupes as part of the game.

This new end game nerf is what turns me away from this game. I used to enjoy playing this game right until this patch. It felt like I was coasting through a fun game and then hit a brick wall named 1.1

I know many others are not happy with the state of the game but I truly can not play anymore.

They also gave us a Waiting emote which I find hilarious :D

ich beobachte derzeit die AMS AG oder auch ams OSRAM aus der Steiermark.

Aufmerksam geworden bin ich durch die Übernahme des Münchner Lichtkonzern Osram.

Es handelt sich um ein insgesamt eher unbekanntes Unternehmen, wobei ams unter anderem Sensoren für Apples Face ID (und im Allgemeinen für Smartphonehersteller) liefert.

i feel like i succeeded in a small way today. my tubs are being removed.

i went in under the disguise of needong a iud replaced. i wrote down a hysterectomy instead. the nyrse brought me into the room to wait for the doctor. she asked about the iud and i spoke up. she seemed very takwn back and then i told hee that i was only worth my lady parts to my family. she told me thats not my only worth before leaving. the doctor came in and of course my autistic ass is stumbling. i persistant for a fix and she tells me while she cant aprove a hysterectomy, shw can remove all of my tubes. which i agree to and explain what happened to me, also that i want to be more maaculine. she suddenly catches on to whats going on understood.
