A list of puns related to "1974 Formula One Season"
I'm normally not one for venting my frustration online, but yesterday's broadcasting was the so called last straw that broke the camel's back. We've already had plenty of races where the tv director decided to show a replay of the crowd during a live overtake on the track or showing a non-important pitstop of a Haas / Williams.
And yesterday during they did it again during the Perez / Ocon fight which was important for eventually the 3rd place spot.
Desperately showing us that they have proof that there is a crowd present in Qatar. I don't care about the crowd's reaction. I care about the live action on track. Show the crowd to us during a (V)SC or when there is literally no action on track at all.
Same goes for the replays of the starts. Why are getting a 2 minute replay of key moments of the start on LAP 2? I mean, all the drivers are still so close to each other fighting for positions and taking risks, side by sides actions etc to potentially get a better position for the rest of the race.
I really hope the directing improves next year when we are getting closer and more battles and overtakes. I understand the crowd's reaction is a part of the sport, any sport, but the main attraction should always be the action on track.

... keep reading on reddit โกBefore the brigade comes to pretend that I said this is not an impressive streak, or that I hate Hamilton, or that I'm racist, or whatever people do that makes every thread about Hamilton a nightmare, just please stop.
Just to say that hear this stat a lot that Hamilton has won a race in every season, and how it's this sort of unbelievable streak. It is usually followed up with this accepted idea that it was Lewis Hamilton willing a lot of these cars to victories.
I was surprised to read that on the two teams he has ever raced for, in all but 2 seasons his teammate also won a race. While obviously it is a great streak, does this not prove that he had a race winning car every season that at least was capable of winning?
Is there another example of a driver who had a winning car for this many seasons? Is the streak more about Hamilton driving a good car to its potential more than Hamilton making non-winning cars actually win races? How do we measure his impact?
First place gets 25 points. Second place gets 18 points. Thereโs also 1 point up for grabs to whoever gets the fastest lap. Driver VER currently has 287.5 points. Driver HAM currently has 275.5 points. There are 5 races left:
If VER gets first in every race starting now, and HAM gets second in every race, when will HAM be mathematically unable to catch up? What about the other way around?
And if you want more math to do, say one of them doesnโt finish a race and gets 0 points, and the other gets 25 plus fastest lap of 1. If the driver who crashed then wins the rest of the races and the other driver gets seconds, will the crashed driver be able to win with only 5 races left to go?
This question is probably super easy especially for a subreddit of mathematically minded people, but I am not, and I apologize. Hopefully this fits the โno homeworkโ rule as it should be obvious this isnโt for school; itโs just for fun.
Jolyon Palmer's Analysis was the reason why I started posting here on r/MotorsportReplays. I remember using this sub back when I couldn't watch live F1 coverage. When I read that someone requested this analysis, I found out I could download and share them here, as I got myself a nice F1TV Pro subscription. Since then, I wanted to give back to the community that helped me enjoy F1 when personal matters didn't allow me to.
I hope you enjoy this Season Package of Jolyon's analysis, data comparison and explanations of all the shenanigans that have happened during the 2021 Formula One Season. Post-Season Analysis will be uploaded once it hits the F1TV servers.

The 2020 Season was a weird one. The COVID-19 pandemic changed everything in the world, motorsports included. The championship was originally due to start in March, in Australia, but the start was postponed until July. The season was due to be raced over a record of 22 Grands Prix, but as more than half of the races were cancelled, new races were added to replace them. So, we ended up with a total of 17 races being run.
