A list of puns related to "White Hole"
TLDR: the old castling rule had a hole such that you could promote e8=R and then castle with the King on e1 since the rook on e8 technically "never moved".
There's an explanation in this link, except that link doesn't show the same board position.
So in this image is a possible situation where the rule means the difference between a win for Black, or a win for White:

Under today's rules, this is a loss for White, because promoting e8 to a Queen is not enough to checkmate Black in time. Black will play Nbxc5, removing White's knight and Black will be able to escape from mate.
However, under the old rules before 1972, White has:
1 e8=R! and then despite all Black's pieces, there is nothing Black can do to stop White from castling (Ke1-e3 Re8-e2)#, which leads to mate here:

Okay I know this sounds dumb, and this is my first post on here, but could someone explain why this is unfeasible? We know that white holes are at least mathematically possible; and one of the leading theories behind dark energy are the so-called "Primordial Black Holes," or the billions of micro-black holes that would've formed in the primordial soup of the Big Bang; wouldn't billions of microscopic, anti-matter white holes be able to account for the universe expanding? I mean this is probably all wrong, but I wanted some of ya'll to explain exactly why, just to help with curiosity haha.
Slatestarcodex bots discuss this "thought experiment" with one bot planning to "put it to the test in a few days."

>Yeah, the article seems to have been inspired by a recent study suggesting that black holes attract more women than men (and it's not as if black hole's don't attract people).
At the very end of the episode we see the detective telling his coworker he tweaked the time to β 1000 years a minute. β If you do the math, that works out to be about 17 years a second. When it zooms in on the cooking before we see Joe in the cabin, you can see the time adjustment setting. Instead of going through the years, it is going by days. The timer is counting upwards from 100 days very fast. Perhaps that is something that the show forgot to edit unless someone can explain that there is a reason for this.
This idea occured to me that the Universe or more specifically the Big Bang that started the Universe, could have been a white hole. A white hole is an inside-out black hole, it has an inside out event horizon, but this event horizon is but a moment in time where T=0, it doesn't matter what unit of time you use, this is the beginning of all time within a specific universe. The Universe is made up of all the matter and energy that has fallen within a given black hole over its entire lifetime.
First off, I know that white holes are only hypothetical but I think its still interesting to look at the effects that they could have.So I came to this question when I looked closer at black holes. A black hole has a event horizon and "behind" this horizon the gravitational forces become so strong, that even light cant escape. Thats why its impossible to research the things that happen inside a black hole since everything that enters never returns. But now to my question:
A white hole is essentially the opposite of a black hole. It doesnt suck in matter but pushes it out, and that with the same force as a black hole. You could pretty much call it antigravitation or whatever you want. But what happens with light that interacts with a white hole?
I got three "solutions" in my head till now:
1: The light gets slowed down to a point infinitely close to a speed of zero, but never reaches zero
2: The light gets slowed down to a speed of zero. Now is the question what would happen with the light particle. Since light particles only exist, because they never reach a speed of zero, this solution is either impossible or the photon would just disapear.
3: The photon gets slowed down and it reaches a speed of zero at some point and then gets essentialy shot back they way it came.
So at first look, 1 would make the most sense to me. But Im not sure. For example you could see the white hole as a inversed black hole in space time. So it wouldnt bend the "matress of space and time" down but it would bend it up, creating a mountain. And if would in the first observe light that just goes near the white hole, it should pretty much be repelled. So now if you look at light that directly travels up the mountain, it would get at some point to steep, that being the event horizon, and it would then "roll down again".
But then again 1 could also work, since the light gets gradually slowed down to a point where it would take billions of years, just to travel a centimeter or so. And even if none of these is correct, the actual seeing of a white hole would be even more difficult than seeing a black hole
Yeah, that would be my question. So please let me know if I got something fundamentally wrong or if you have any ideas or even if someone else already talked about this (I didnt find anything when I googled it).
After reading the comments till now, it seems that number 1 would be the most reasonable solution. Number 2 is quite impossible as I said. And number 3 is question
... keep reading on reddit β‘No idea how all of you get good pictures of your holes, my camera wonβt take a solid image with flash for shit in my mouth... lol. I noticed earlier today 2 of my holes are filled p high with white(?) stuff. I figured itβs healing tissue from what Iβve been hearing. Thereβs no pain there really, and my cheeks/jaw donβt really hurt unless I really move them over or press on em etc minor pain on bottom when I bite down/push down on my teeth in jaw. Day 5 almost 6 btw. I havnt been taking anymore pain meds because I genuinely have not been hurting bad at all. Only thing is my tongue is a bit swelled up today π more uncomfy than anytning. Been paranoid out of my mind about infection, and I wish I could run for a check up but my surgeon is 2 hours away and I really do not have the energy or time to be able to run out by myself :,)
Can anyone possible provide images of healing tissue or such white filling in holes? Or any tips or calming words lol 3 post in 2 days haha, I have really really bad health anxiety and am always extremely paranoid. Anything helps :,)
