So i’m midway through season 3 and was just curious to know what you all feel about the casting of Wendie Malick and her character as Kathryn?
I personally love how she is an opposite of Katie yet they see eye to eye at the end of episodes. Though she can sometimes overdo it with the gold digging persona. And what do you think?
...for every time she played a terrible mother in an adult cartoon that had talking animals and an episode that involved fracking under someone's house causing said house to fall into a hole in the ground, she'd have two nickels.

If you’ve payed attention to the characters she’s played or voiced over the years in most adult shows the characters either display alcoholic tendencies or always have a drink in their hands.
Some shows tap another actor, sometimes an actual child actor, who can mimic the original's cadences. It's great this show didn't have to do that since Wendie can sound like a child.

Her acting this season was so inspired and spot on. She played a small child, adolescent, young woman, middle aged woman, and old lady all in the span of one episode and every part of the performance was brilliant.
