Trying to do the 75 Day Challenge which includes drinking a gallon of water a day. I forgot for most of the day and remembered around 8pm. I then drank ~4L / ~gallon in 50min. The last half of the bottle it felt like I was going to throw up. I stopped right then. My head was throbbing and I was having terrible stomach cramps. I used the bathroom ~6 times in those 30min. I ended up going to the hospital and they said I had an elevated blood pressure. My urine was clear but I was told after triage it was a ~6 hour wait. After 2 hours the headache subsided a bit and I was only left with the lower stomach cramps. I ate a frozen meal (high in salt) with the water, so is that helping? I also understand I am obese and hopefully that is working in my favor here. I understand that severe cases can lead to coma and I donβt want that to happen. Should I be worried although my symptoms are getting better? Should I go back to the hospital?
Is water intoxication a good way to die? I read somewhere a man drank I think 8 L of water in 7 hour and died. What do you think is the % of dying from it. I think it's a good way? Or what about about water dehydration?
I made a post about it before too and everyone said that it's like unlikely to happen, too much pain etc. Today I read many cases of people dying because of it. One was like a water drinking competition and she drank 7.5 L in just 3 hours without urinating. Other was a small kid who's parents forced him to drink a lot of water daily cause he was dehydrated or something. There was an athlete who died by it too also a man (I think labour worker) who drank like 8L in span of 7 hours and a few other cases I read online. So my question is if I drink around 7L in around 6 hours and also pee (cause yk it's too hard to control that urge) can I die? Would peeing affect my death or is it fine? I read peeing removes your electrolyte in body and at the end of the day that's what the goal is right?
What would you say would be the best amount of water in how much time duration to cause death?
This is the only method I can do at this point so I would appreciate ya'lls input
Basically Iβm getting a renal ultrasound and Iβm required to drink a litre of water in 20 minutes. Could I get water intoxication?
On several occasions i find myself drinking way too much and just messes me up for a day or 2. Anyone else have this problem?
I've drank a total of eleven bottles (5.5 litres) of water today as an experiment, but only after did I discover that five litres is plenty enough to give an adult water intoxication. It's only been five minutes since my last bottle but I feel awful already. Am I gonna end up something serious? If anyone knows anything about this please lmk
edit: I still feel really tired and cold, but my head feels a lot clearer now if that makes sense. Like, it feels less foggy. Tysm for replying ily

I drank around 6L of water in a short time span
I feel dizzy all the time now, how likely is brain damage?
So i (24 Female) drank about 4 liters of water in a very short amount of time (like in 1 1/2 hour) at home. Im about 132 pounds and 5'6 tall. . I can't explain why i just felt like doing it... Anyway i vomited two times now and not much came out... Should i go to the ER or wait this out? I usually dont drink much water so im kinda worried. My head also hurts. I dont take any medication. Update : my left eye starts hurting really bad.
Supposedly to expand their stomachs they drink like 3 gallons of water or more, isn't that dangerous?
17M. I have drank roughly 4L of water a day for a very long time now, urinate a lot during the day, which is clear. I am worried about recently discovering water intoxication. Is this a long term thing that can build up, and should I be worried?
lets fuckin go
I had a bottle of 3 oz made (with formula), then I added 4 oz to it and forget to add 2 extra scoops of formula to the bottle. He ate about 4 oz of the bottle. Will he be okay? He has been throwing up, and I'm worried.
If someone is drinking 10 Liters a day. that can possibly lead to water intoxication, right? (not working out at the athlete level by the way).
so, if that person drinking 10 Liters a day, and drink salted water (to prevent excess sodium flushing out from the body).
Does drinking salted water or electrolyte water in between prevent water intoxication as it may balance those sodium lost in the body? assuming that person still drinks about 10 L a day.
Thanks in advance.
I have become outrageously fearful of accidentally drinking too much water. I made the mistake of looking it up online to see how much water is considered too much...now Iβm concerned Iβm going to enter a psychotic delirium and lose control of myself...Iβm honestly considering calling a pharmacist or something at this point to get some medical opinion just to quell my fears; this is too much to deal with right now. I donβt wanna sound stupid though.
