Help Identifying My Possible Iaito Wakizashi
Hey all,
Not sure if this is the right place for this but I've had this blunt wakizashi since I was a kid (grandmothers give their grandkids the best presents). I've no history on where she got it other than it was likely a garage sale so I never thought anything of its quality. However, becoming more versed in swords and Japanese iaito in general, I'm starting to wonder if this actually a practice weapon more than just a decoration. I'm including an image library of photos I just took of it. A few notes are as follows:
- It is completely blunt without a hint of an edge at all. The tip is pointy but nothing I'd consider "sharp"
- There is a printing of Japan on the Seppa which, hopefully, means it's not a factory produced Chinese blade.
- I have had the sword for about 28 years so it's definitely before swords were easily accessible via the Internet
- Despite being 28 years old, the blade has a remarkable reflective quality without ever being taken care of.

For anyone who hasnโt unlocked the Wakizashi and Machete.
Scream deathmatch is a great mode for getting two executions in a match as well as backstabber medals. Iโm trash with melee weapons in general but had no problem unlocking them in this mode.

There is no Ninjato/Wakizashi not a Monk weapon?
I wanted to make a Ninja and decided on the monk class but I just noticed that there isn't really a finesse sword with the monk trait. Does someone have an idea how I could make that work to have a sword wielding ninja?

First time poster here, dont know alot about swords. Was cleaning out my phone and 18 year old me saved this image cause they looked cool af, but I dont know what they are specifically?? They look like a Wakizashi or something but these are more straight. Can someone tell me what they are exactly??
Custom wakizashi and tanto i did recently, tried to make a modern full tang version of shirasaya style. Used kingwood for the handle and clay hardened 1084 steel in order to have that gunome pattern hamon. Hope you like it
