A list of puns related to "Vertebrate Trachea"

Hello all.
As a writer progresses through The elements of worldbuilding, it is inevitable that the finer details should take the spotlight. As such, I find myself rather curious as to what the more experienced members of this subreddit think this character's voice should sound like, as I am not currently quite sure myself.
As can be seen in the art, rather than a vertebrate-style single jaw, this fellow's species has a system of three finger-like mandibles that is totally not just ripped off from Halo's Sangheili.(Lol) For the sake of clarity, he does talk and both inhale and exhale through that mouth. There are no teeth on those mandibles, but instead keratinacious, ridged nail-like gripping surfaces on their insides for better gripping ability. Less apparent from the outside, just behind those mandibles is a set of sandpaper-like, cartilaginous "crushing pads" like those of a catfish, evolved to crush whatever comes into them. These crushing pads are lined with chemoreceptors, and thus serve him as a mix of teeth, tongue, and - more relevantly to this post - his voice box. The crushing pads are anchored to a ring of bone just below his skull. His respiratory and digestive tracts split off behind the crushing pads, with the esophagus-analog on the outside and the trachea-analog on the inside. A simple epiglottis-analog shields the trachea from aspiration. His nostrils are directly linked to the respiratory system, with no intersections with the digestive system or the crushing pads.
Considering all of that, what would this fellow and his species sound like? I have a vague idea of his voice being a sort of warbling-rasping hiss, maybe shifting into a goose-like honk or a sigh when the crushing pads are relaxed. Is this even vaguely what a system like this would sound like? My thanks in advance for any answer.

Quick Summary of the Case
Shelbey Jean Thornburgh-Crocker was a 20-year-old small town girl. According to her sister, Krystina Scott, Shelbeyβs life was a tough one. Both girls were in and out of foster care because their mom was an alcoholic and couldnβt care for them. They were each sexually assaulted while they were in the system.
Shelbey struggled with obesity her whole life, but through hard work and diligence she lost over 180 pounds in the last couple of years of her life. She then turned to prostitution in order to pay the bills, and pay for plastic surgery associated with losing so much weight.
On November 4th, 2015, Shelbey had a date with a John. He can be seen on surveillance camera walking into and out of Shelbey's apartment building. A little while after he was gone, her pimp went to check on her and found her dead on her bed with her throat slit.
Her killer has never been identified.
Autopsy Report Excerpt
Earlier this year, I spoke with a Houston employee. That person provided to me an excerpt from the autopsy report describing the wound that Shelbey Thornburgh suffered. This is what the autopsy report says:
*An incised wound of the anterior neck. A large gaping incised wound extends horizontally across the anterior neck. The wound measures five and one half inches in length and is located nine and one half inches below the top of the head and two inches to the right of the anterior midline. The margins of the wound are sharp with no ragged edges or serrations. No tissue bridging is observed. A one inch linear abrasion extends from the lower left margin of the wound traversing obliquely from the 10 o'clock to four o'clock. A three quarter inch linear abrasion extends from the upper right margin of the wound obliquely from four to 10 o'clock. A one quarter inch linear abrasion extends obliquely from the upper mid point skin margin of the wound from four o'clock to 10 o'clock. A subsequent internal examination of the neck reveals that the wound tract incises the clavicular head of the left sternocleidomastoid muscle and transects the sternal head of the left sternocleidomastoid muscle, incises the left jugular vein, punctures the left carotid artery, transects the bilaterals sternothyroid and sternohyoid muscles, the trachea and the esophagus, transects the right sternocleidomastoid and omohyoid muscles and transects the right vertebral artery, right carotid artery, and right jugular vein. This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
