A list of puns related to "Triple Double"
With 14/10/14/4 steals right now, Josh Giddey becomes the youngest player in NBA history to record a triple double, at 19 years and 86 days.
The previous record was held by LaMelo Ball at 19 years 140 days old.
This also pushes LeBron James (20 years and 20 days) out of the top 5.

Tonight was definitive evidence that the Raptors are cursed, forever doomed to lose to the Pistons so long as Dwane Casey is their coach because they managed to beat the Bucks for the third time this season, on a back-to-back, and this time hey had Giannis. Definitely more turnovers than you'd like from Pascal and OG tonight (OG fouled out tonight) and the starters continue to see limited help from the bench but a win is a win, and on a back-to-back without Scottie and Gary Trent Jr., it's great to see Pascal back into his pre-pandemic form.
Also undrafted rookie Champagnie getting 12 boards was impressive.

Win Streak up to 2 now! First half was awful and I wanted to puke, but Trae had a nuclear 3rd quarter and we held the lead for the rest of the game. Btw, get an Okungwu jersey (!!!!!) - motherfucker had 5 blocks and an extremely efficient performance overall with no fouls. Dre had a pretty quiet 22 points as well. AND THAT TRAE NUTMEG AT THE END OMG

A bit crazy how some of these were considered unbreakable but 2 have been broken with possibly Kareem's record being next.

Context bc this might be confusing
The clip on the right was posted by the Mavs official TikTok after they beat the Thunder on December 12th. Giddey finished with 6 points on 3/14 shooting. The context for their joke is that Giddey is quite the active TikToker and he is famous for his use of this audio originating from Drake. They just edited in the word βblockβ and showed him getting blocked lol
Giddey apparently took that personally and had this game marked on his calendar. He was the youngest player to record a triple double and proceeded to hop on TikTok and essentially repost the old Mavs clip in a way that says βhm? what now?β
Although the Mavs still won so it doesnt work perfectly but pretty funny nonetheless
In the past 5 years, the record for youngest triple-double has been broken 4 times, first by Lonzo Ball.
Since then, the record has been broken three times, first by Markelle Fultz, then by LaMelo Ball, and then tonight by Jishua Giddey.
Giannis has tied Michael Jordan for 18th most triple-doubles ever.

Heβs 27. Excited to see how close Giannis can get to the top.
Heβs the same age as Bobby Portis and younger than Duncan Robinson.
Great statement win from the Celtics tonight after blowing a 25 point lead against the Knicks last time out, and a great game from Brown who gets his first career triple double!
EDIT: Brown went 9-15 from the floor and 2-4 from 3 as well
Steph started very cold, but his playmaking was key for the Warriors time and time again. Having been fouled after shooting a 3 three different times, he made almost all of his free throws.

He was amazing in the first 3 quarters and completely torched the Lakers. Think he just ran out of energy in the 4th + Stanley Johnson clamped him but still iced the game at the line. Great night from the Beard on Christmas

There have been 80 triple-doubles in Mavericks franchise history. Here's the breakdown:
Luka Doncic: 40
Everyone else: 40
This is Luka's 226th career game, the 2nd-fewest games to reach 40 triple-doubles in NBA history (Oscar Robertson, 92 games).

Hello folks. I predict that we are going to have unparalleled supply shortages that only get worse, as well as higher prices.
Due to my gig job & one of its niches, I tend to interact with a lot of folks from the Middle East. My Lebanese (obviously a rough place to be) pharmacist friend has shared how grateful he was to get the vaccines because so many do not yet have access. A friend from Egypt was telling me today, worriedly, that he needs to go to the hospital. I asked if it's COVID. He replied, "I do not understand, I have taken the serum (vaccine) twice." His English is a little rougher, but I could gather that he's terrified. He has a deep, wet cough and is very short of breath. Both are young, fit, vaccinated, & in their early 30's.
I realize 2 is a very small sample size for international, but I'm noticing a lot of my double & ev ed n boosted friends are catching COVID this time. It might be wipe to stock up on all COVID & cold/flu season essentials now if you're American because Omicrom is very contagious, even though flu season will be lightening up soon. The folks over at r slash Nursing discuss the reality of the current COVID crisis. I think they're a good source for reliable information. They say their hospitals are nearing breaking points due to staffing shortages from so many nurses & other medical professionals being out sick.
It seems like despite Omicron being weaker, a surge will break our hospital systems. Stock up on medical supplies while you can & before there is a rush to hoard them. Stock up on cleaning supplies, masks, gloves, etc., in case you must care for a sick loved one at home. A lot more people are getting COVID & the hospitals are in worse shape than "the news" will tell us. So many breakthrough cases.
ETA update: Thank you for the well wishes for friend. When he went to a doctor, they said because he can taste & smell that he doesn't have COVID, & didn't order a COVID test. The doctor ordered friend a 10-day dupply of antibiotics & told him to isolate for 10 days. I asked out of curiosity/ignorance if COVID tests are "free" in Cairo & he said no. I did the math & they're ~$64. He took a COVID test on 1/12 & is COVID positive. He's doing okay but coughing a lot. Told him to buy a pulse-oximeter. Will update when I know more.
Update 2: Lebanese friend is now COVID positive & is an essential HCW (pharmacist). Double vaxxed. He's doi

Before Luka was drafted, the Mavericks as a team had 39 triple doubles in their franchise's history. After being drafted in the 2018 draft, being traded on draft night to the Mavericks, Luka Doncic recorded his 40th career triple double as a Maverick with tonight's win against the Grizzlies.
27 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists tonight for Luka Doncic as he records his 40th triple double.
