A list of puns related to "Tokugawa Clan"
Honor ? Because Hideyoshi was his adopted father in law ? Was it because Masayuki finally died, and Yukimura felt like he got nothing to lose and might as well exit life with a bang ?
Revenge for ruining the Sanada clan ?
Iβve often wondered if there are any descendants of the Tokugawa family that ran the Tokugawa Shogunate for 264 years still around today.
The last Shogun wasnβt killed after the Boshin War. So did he have any children who in turn had family possibly continuing to this day and age?
Role: Tank
The Oyabun of the Shimada Clan in Japan following the betrayal of Hanzo and brother of the late Sojiro Shimada, now in pursuit of revenge to capture and kill the two Shimada brothers for murdering his family and scarring him for life.
"Your honor will not save you from the depths of hell."
Health: 450 HP (300 Health, 150 Armor)
Tokugawa utilizes his custom naginata to keep a firm hold on enemies both close up and far away. He is able to push back his enemies with his incredible speed and strength, speeding up his attacks as he kills and and charging towards enemies to kick them back, though a little bit of Devil's Blood stimulant never hurt to help pack an extra punch. Using his family's powers, he is able to channel the energy of a raging dragon through his naginata, unleashing its wrath in the form of dual chain blades made from his naginata to unleash hell upon the battlefield.
Primary Fire: Naginata: Unlimited ammo: Tokugawa carries a dual-bladed naginata which he holds out in front of him. Tokugawa swings the blade around him consistently whilst attacking and strikes in front of him.
Secondary Fire: Naginata: Unlimited ammo: Tokugawa holds back and charges up his naginata, which charges up the blade with red energy. Upon releasing, the naginata releases a large red energy arch in the shape of their swing. This arch will fly in whatever direction Tokugawa swung it in and pass through enemies, dealing damage as it flies through. The swinging motion is accompanied by a standard primary fire swing from Tokugawa.
Passive: Thirst for Blood: The more final blows Tokugawa makes, the faster he will move and strike. Each final blow adds 5% movement speed and attack speed to Tokugawa for 10 seconds. These can stack up to a maximum of a 30% speed boost for 6 final blows. The duration stacks on top of each other as well, as with each final blow Tokugawa makes, the duration increases by another 10 seconds, with a maximum of 30 seconds allowed.
Hello all!
I was wondering if any of you could settle a query that's been gnawing at me, ever since I (presumably) read about it!
It's about a Japanese family/clan during the Tokugawa era which would meet every year. At each of these meetings, the younger retainers would ask "Is now the time?" as in 'Was it now time to overthrow the Tokugawa Shogunate?'. And each time the clan elders/leaders would reply "No, not this year. Wait a further year until we are stronger". And that response never wavered
I'm sure that I've come across this information in a book somewhere, but for the life of me I can't find any reference to it online!
Would anyone know if this story is correct or not? If it is correct, which clan was famous for these annual meetings where the overthrow of the Tokugawa was voiced in such a public way?
Many thanks!
Hello, I just started totally fresh, without mods. I have built some homes for both tenants and other players on my base. It is simple here, we play a roleplaying game. So far I am a Hyloti Smith. Currency of the game will be woods, vines and ores. This way I can build more cool things on the base. It is not a Hyloti only clan, anyone can join. So far there is me a Hyloti Smith, we have a Hyloti warrior, a Novakid sharpshooter and a useless human.
Kidding, he is friendly and not useless. Tell me if you want to join ^^ Welcome to Tokugawa clan.
This was around the time Tokugawa Ieyasu United all of Japan anyways, and the interior samurai look like like similar uniforms that the shogunate wore, that all red armor.
Also... where the hell is Ashina on the map of Japan? I know there was a real Ashina clan but Is the actual location of the game just made up?
Letβs say for convenience. Nobunaga isnβt betrayed, and continues his campaign to unite Japan, eventually doing so and forming the Oda Shogunate. How does history change from here? Does the Edo period still occur, or does Japan never seal itself off from the rest of the world? And how does that affect future events if so?
I've been using this on my glass-cannon build in WotN and it seems pretty strong (well, as cannon-like as Tonfas can get).
Damage output drops some in comparison to some other guardians but my survivability went way up because nothing one-shots me anymore. I even respec'd and dropped my HP so that things would potentially one-shot me more, which is better than going into critical health with this setup.
And then I have quick-change scrolls on top of the 100% prevent death, just in case.
Also, since I'm already typing, I'm really liking the 3-piece Hayabusa set on my tonfa build. It gives an extra 30% damage on any Ninjutsu hit. This includes powders, which can proc multiple times, and fire shurikens, which trigger the attack on hit and then again when they explode (goes well with devastation/fire builds).
I'm guessing it would be equally good on other fast weapons, like dual swords.
For those of you who have pledged to the Tokugawa via PS4 please comment where specified. Same with XOne and PC. This begins the vetting process.
On paper it seems like Imagawa and Tokugawa had an immense advantage over the Oda during their alliance. How exactly did the Oda manage to hold off against them for so long up until Okehazama?
He was building Tokyo in a fortress known as Edo castle, and asked Edo clan to change their name to Kitami, but, if he wanted his new capital to not be associated with another clan, wouldn't it have been easier to change the name of the place?, call it Tokugawa Castle or something?
And if it wasn't because he didn't want his new city to have the name of another clan, then why did he change the name?
