A list of puns related to "The Gregg Reference Manual"
I have 10th edition, which follows Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, but since I don't have the 11th edition yet, I can't see which dictionary it advises to use.
I really wanted to be able to use :help
to view lua's builtin functions, since that's largely how I learned to use vimscript. So, I made it available as a 'plugin', here.
To create the docs, I converted the lua reference html to org syntax with pandoc
, then wrote a few ex commands to convert it to vim help format.
I also 'converted' the other languages available at lua.org, de
, es
, and pt
. I don't speak any of these languages, so if you feel inclined and spot any issues, please create one on the github repo!
It's not perfect, but I plan to fix issues I find and add some details over time, but at the very least it's available in :help
now!
I'm working my way through Gregg Shorthand Manual Simplified and in the reading exercises there are some outlines that I cannot make out. Is there a plain English translation for these reading exercises somewhere? I would like to be able to check my work.
This is the exact text that I am working with: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0070245487/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_BQRJBY6GY76MSXG2S9EW
Thanks
UPDATE 1:
Here is an image of the passage I am trying to translate with my problem words highlighted. Below is my translation for most of the passage. This is from page 38.
My translation:
> Mr Der (?): It is essential that I have 300 copies of our mailing pieces (?) "Efficiency" and "Store Operation" at the hotel Davis (?) By 5 o'clock on May 12. I am addressing a special session of national clothing store hours (?) at 6 o'clock on the day (?) > > If I have these 3 hundred copies by 5 o'clock I can place them on the seats in the meeting hall before the official meeting starts. Coo (?? "Could you" ??) take care of getting the 300 copies of "Efficiency" and "Store Operation" to the Hotel Davis? Hairy (?) blare (?) Ds (? "Woulds"?) olsee (?) by your files that I stayed at your hotel on the night of May 9. As my train left at 9 o'clock in the evening on May 10...
UPDATE 03/20/2021:
Here are 2 more for you all: the only meaning that I can get from these 2 outlines that make sense are "with the" and "initial" (the latter barely makes sense, but that's what it spells to me).

I am looking for this .pdf file. from the US Department of Defense I's not classified or even copywritten. Locksmith who have it told me it could easily sell for $100.00 or more. Its not easily found on the .net after extensive googling.
SURREPTITIOUS ENTRY REFERENCE MANUAL
The Surreptitious Entry Reference Manual (SERM) is a single document containing over 28,000 pages of information on various locking mechanisms. The purpose of the SERM is to prevent the loss of knowledge pertaining to surreptitious entry tradecraft by identifying those tactics, techniques, procedures, and equipment that have been successfully used in an operational environment. Surreptitious entry tradecraft are those tactics, techniques, procedures, and equipment employed to facilitate an entry and escape observation. Below is a screen capture of the manual.

For all the young engineers that are positive on the degree you want, buy the FE reference manual for your major. It contains all of the the equations/tables you need for all of your classes. Instead of buying books for each individual class and/or looking for a particular equation in your professors notes, save your time/money and buy the book that has it all. This will also help in preparation for the FE exam. As a graduating senior, I regret not buying this sooner. Best of luck!
For all those who don't know and/or newcomers out there: these are essential to read and to have at hand.
Installation Manual: https://www.debian.org/releases/stable/installmanual

These should be sticky somewhere on the right pane like in may other subreddits.
I have CERM15.
But to sit for an exam in 2021 shall I purchase the PE Civil Reference Manual 16th edition. Is it necessary? what are the changes?
Hey guys do you know where I can find the 'Reading Practice' answer key for this? I'm trying to learn the Diamond Jubilee series, and I'm struggle on figuring some words out. Thank You!
If you need a manual reference to complete a task, your boss or company will provide you with the correct reference. If for educational purposes, your a&p school should have a couple of training manuals that you can use for practice. Us mechanics can only point you in the right direction but can never give you the answer. PMM (powerplant maintenance manual) CMM (component maintenance manual) PIPC (powerplant illustrated parts catalog)
I have OSHA 1910 and 1926, IBC 2015 and AASHTO LRFD. I'm in New Jersey but we can workout shipping.
Noteβ amick is NOT amico. Amick is a reputable USA Today writer that has a podcast, which this was mentioned on. He said this on his most recent podcast with Jamal Crawford starting at the 34:30 mark.
Full quote (I paraphrased):
>Chris is talking about his free agency options and he essentially, Iβm paraphrasing, but he basically says, you know, that everything heβs heard is that Pop is probably only going to be around for a couple more years in terms of coaching and that was a concern for a guy like Chris that, you know, I think he had a comment about how the Spurs just arenβt the Spurs without Pop. And thatβs been stuck in my head not only because of Chris, but even look ahead to next summer I, you know, just kinda high level free agents and how they might look at that situation, you know βcause everybody knows that heβs a huge X factor out there.
Does anybody know if anyone has done this yet? I feel like it would be a little more helpful with my speed.
I ordered a copy of (and I quote their title) "Gregg Shorthand Manual Simplified Second Edition". It arrived in the post today but I was surprised to open up the package to "Gregg Shorthand Simplified For Colleges - Volume One, Second Edition".
Now I'm unsure what to do, as I live in New Zealand and this was shipped from America. What's the difference between this and the manual?
It says Volume one... Does that mean I'd need a part two?
Should I just keep this and work with it or send it back?
Please provide a PDF version of Pine Script v4 Manual & Pine Script Language Reference Manual. I keep manuals in Kindle reader. It's easier to keep your place as you read through page by page, as well as annotate. I understand it's regularly updated working document, but as a learning resource it's important to make this usable. A website is not usable as a learning reference.
