A list of puns related to "The Decemberists"
Hello!
I was wondering if anyone knows of a source for Decemberist Mandolin notation?
Long time fan of the band, newish self teaching mandolin player. I know some of their albums have a fair bit of mandolin on them, and I'd also be interested in guitar parts that have been transposed(?) to mandolin. I've been googling around and only seem to find guitar stuff.
I'd have an easier time with TAB, but it would be good practice to have to read the proper notation.
Thanks!
I don't play 7" records ever, so I'm unloading the whole lot of them: some gems/white whales. I tend to grade conservatively, and I pack my records well. Shipping is flat $5 for any amount of 7". Paypal G&S, U.S only please.
Let me know if you have any questions. Pics available up on request. Pricing based on discogs averages/recent sales. I am open to reasonable offers. I'm down to do bundle discounts as well!

... keep reading on reddit β‘I assumed a rock show would allow standing, in which front row would be fantastic! But I fear it will be sitting and the view will beβ¦ awkward. Anyone ever seen the Decembristβs specifically at this venue or have any experience with this place? Thanks.
I apologize if I'm using that term incorrectly, but by "concept album" I'm looking for something with a narrative that connects the songs and not an opera or musical soundtrack. I know that The Decemberists have a few albums that are like that and some longer songs that tell full stories. I'm curious about checking out some other albums that are in that same realm of concept albums that have a narrative story thread that connects the songs. Preferably something that is more rock variety of some kind, but I'm flexible on that. Thank you in advanced!
Ideal examples, I like ones where the background music is very mesmerizing while the lyrics and vocals complement the music well:
Always thought they were kind of a somewhat pleasant and genteel hipster indie-rock outfit but was turned on to some of their Prog tracks on a recent podcast episode of Discord & Rhyme andβ¦.wow!! I had no idea.
The Tain, The Islands, Crane Wifeβ¦some killer stuff. Newfound obsession, glad I didnβt dismiss forever them and miss out.
Great Prog in their catalog if you know where to look.
For encouraging her son to make his life revolve around her revenge.

DAE file this one, if not quite with, then very near R.E.M. on your mental music shelf? Iβve always kinda regarded it as the lost R.E.M. album.
