A list of puns related to "The Bourne Identity"
I saw a documentary one time called "Unknown White Male", about a guy who wakes up on the subway with amnesia.
He doesn't have any ID on him at the time so he hangs around for a while until someone gives him an idea. And I think it would be cool if Bourne did this same idea...
>As Jason and the captain are standing on the front of the boat as it approaches the harbor, a crewman brings Jason a pad of paper and a pen as other crewman come and watch.
>Crewman: You make scribble now.
>Jason is confused but does so, and to his amazement he ends up signing his own signature.
>Captain: Muscle memory. Different part of the brain.
>Jason looks at the paper, lost in thought.
>Jason: My name is Jason Bourne.
But later, when he goes to bank and looks through the lock-box, he finds a passport on top with a completely different name. He panics.
He looks deeper and finds yet another passport with yet another name.
Finally he finds an american passport with "Jason Bourne" as the name. He feels a little bit better.
Then he finds a gun.
You know the rest...
One other minor reason why I think this is an improvement is that it gives him more of a reason to identify with the Jason Bourne name rather than the other names on the passports.
I'm actually not certain why he does pick that name in the movie other than maybe because that's the first one he finds and/or it's the american passport (and he knows that he has an american accent).

I remember an interview somewhere where Alex talks about their first record being him "pointing outwards", each song is about subjects outside of him.
We hear a lot of Alex singing about things and a lot of Alex singing about girls, but we dont usually hear him singing about himself and how he feels very much.
The closest I can think of outside of these 2 tracks is the Submarine soundtrack, but even that is about love I think.
Even Ultracheese has a "You".
I dunno am I up my own ass here or am I semi right? These are probably 2 of my favorite tracks from him. I feel like they stick out from the rest for this reason.
Lemme know what any of you think!
The Toy Identity
In "Good Will Hunting," we meet the titular character, a brilliant but troubled and not-infrequently violent young man who desperately seeks a positive relationship with a role model and wrestles with how to dispose of his considerable talents in a meaningful and fulfilling way, along the way having to decide whether to follow his own path or to seek validation through external achievement. Sound familiar?
Background: Why This is Plausible
(1) In TBI, the protagonist's past is a central mystery clouded by his amnesia and a complex web of lies and manipulation; sure, we "discover" that he's "David Webb" at the end, but this movie and its sequels are filled with twists, turns, and deliberate misinformation. Who's to say what the "true" identity of the protagonist is?
(2) That being said, there are definite similarities between Bourne and Will Hunting: both are suggested to be exceptionally intelligent, and while Will is certainly untrained he's no stranger to physical violence and is shown as being ready and capable of using it.
(3) Beyond those superficial similarities, there are some deeper thematic similarities between the two characters: they both seek togetherness with others but have intimacy issues; they both have a strong independent streak while paradoxically experiencing profound self-doubt; and they both have tortured relationships with competing mentor figures.
As to how the plot unfolds, here's where I think it gets really compelling:
We know from GWH that Will was a reluctant target for recruitment by the NSA and that by the end of the film he has chosen to move to California to work for "MacAllen," which we know nothing about but sounds like a CIA front if I've ever heard one.
We also know that before leaving for California, Will experiences deep distress at the (irrational) fear that he will be abandoned by his girlfriend, Skylar, one of the first people he has truly "let into" his life.
Prior to that, his fate had been wrestled over by two different would-be mentors, the overachieving but emotionally shallow Professor Lambeau and the underachieving but deeply sincere Sean Maguire; the former believes that Will should attempt to transcend his emotional problems by pursuing career success, while the latter believes that he must first learn to accept himself and choose his own fate; notably, in a heated moment between the two, Sean suggests that if Will were to attempt to bury his emotions in pursuit of objective success, he cou

Alternatively, if his intention was always to surprise Bourne by coming in through the window, why venture downstairs at all?Β (00:44:07)

It's ironic that Claire Daines stars is both, but I would appreciate 99% less Dana. In fact, no Dana would be best. Is there a petition I can sign or something? More Lt. Winters and no Dana. Let's get the Whitehouse on this.
Looking for some good old fashioned international spy thrillers. Less Bond style, more Bourne style.
