Just became mom to a 5 month old tenrec!
We are going to call him Oogie since it’s Halloween time, but I was hoping to get some general information from you guys.
I know he is probably experiencing torpor right now, but when I do get him out to socialize with him he is like a little lighting bolt!
He climbs all over me and wants to go this way and that way.
Is it normal for them to be this wiggly? When I get out the little pouch for him he will go in and just lay in my lap and fall asleep, but I would like some one on one time with him as well.

TIL there is only one mammal species that uses stridulation as a means of communication with other members of its group.
