A list of puns related to "Tennis Court Oath"
What if during the reign of Louis the XVI when he called the Estates General, rather than locking the Third Estate out, he listened to the fervor of the people of France and instead gave the Third estate delegates more power/representation?
Could the French have guided the Revolutionary and Enlightenment sentiments into a soft landing and prevented the Revolution?
Was tennis strictly a sport for the aristocracy, or did it cross social classes?
Did any other members of the other three estates sign the Tennis Court Oath? I am asking this because I believe that I read in a textbook had for World History, that stated, almost all of the Third Estate and a few from the First and Second Estates signed the Tennis Court Oath. It is also shown in drawing by Jacques-Louis David of "The Tennis Court Oath" someone from the First Estate in the Foreground.
