A list of puns related to "Tendinitis"

Yes, my fretting hand technique is solid. Yes, I keep my wrist in neutral positions. Yes, I only apply as much pressure as needed for the note to sound.
Suggestions for basses and strings would be great! Price range $500 to $1,200. Thanks!
I went to my doctor this morning and for a clearance for work cert and he said I should limit carrying weight to 5kg, which is fair enough, and try not to use the affected hand as much as possible.
I have a wrist brace I use; but would it be worth getting an appropriate styled sling to immobilise my arm and hand to help rest it fully and entirely?
Hi all, I may have posted about this before so forgive the redundancy if so. I struggle a LOT with improving my performance and fitness through exercise, and I mostly do bodyweight exercise though I used to do squats with weights prior to a hernia.
I make virtually no progress with my workouts and I'm trying to figure out what I can do. For pull ups, week after week I make no improvements and I've tried implementing a variety of different advice and philosophies: slower, controlled repetitions, pointing my index fingers up to help engage lats more, only working out 1-2 times a week to give adequate rest, consuming more protein, etc. I'm stuck at 3-4 sets of 3-5 reps of pull ups and around the same amount of chin ups or neutral grip in one session.
This same kind of stagnancy is present with my other exercises like push ups but to a much lower degree than pull ups. I can't seem to progress with adding reps to tough push up types like pseudo planche push ups but I'm slowly adding them to easier variations like diamond or inclined push ups.
I'm about 5'11 and 145 lbs on average though been eating a LOT to inch towards 150. I eat pretty healthy though I know I'm not getting an ideal amount of protein (maybe 80 grams a day on a good day), but honestly I see guys making progress with way worse diets and discipline.
Finally, even when I'm careful to move slowly through my routines, rest well, drink turmeric etc., I always end up with tendinitis in my elbows. I've given myself weeks off to fully heal, and all that seems to do is make it so normal routine movements like grocery runs create the flare ups rather than exercise. Maybe this issue is more suited to r/medical_advice but I figured I'd see if anyone has input here.
Sorry for the long post but I think it's important to give the full context as I haven't been able to find situations quite like mine from my own research. Thanks in advance for any insights.
Morning all,
I've been a bit silly last few weeks & ramped up my muscle-up/explosive pull ups/ weighted pull ups frequency dramatically, picture greasing the groove technique but with maximum intensity & failed to supplement it with stretches, connective tissue work with bands ect
Now I have an annoying pain in my inner elbow, I'm sure is the early signs of tendinitis or golfers elbow, has anyone had this before & have some effective tips for recovery? I've rested a week and in between then gone to the gym twice to just do some light push movements, it doesn't seem to be getting any better, shall I just completely rest until it heals? Is that a good idea?
The time off is absolutely killing me.
Thanks!
Anybody deal with this and recovered. Thereβs a tendon right under my knee in my pushing leg. Itβs very tender to touch and the pain comes and goes and I believe itβs patellar tendinitis. If anyone had some rehab protocol it would be of help cuz I want to skate w no pain !!!
Hi, i thought itd be cool to have a thread for people going through quad tendonitis to discuss with each other what has helped/hasnt helped them etc.
Ive had it for almost 10 years now, stopping playing basketball which is my love and even totally just stopped exercising at all because it was too frustrating dealing with it. Id need to warm up for like literally an hour before MAYBE feeling normal playing basketball, but usually even after warmup my knees would be too stiff to do much of anything too athletic, i could run in a straight line and spot up shoot and thats about it most of the time.
Anyways i found KOT and going to go all out on it as its basically the last hope for me to get back to 100% and start being pain free and super athletic on the court again before i get too old.
Its almost impossible to find a lot of good information or help online about quad tendon issues though. I signed up to Bens program and ATG coaching and even asking the coaches or even Ben personally(though i dont think its actually Ben answering most of the time if any) they just give copy/pastes for dealing with any kind of knee pain, and no real quad tendon advice. So i figured just discussing with other people on here with similar issues and sharing advice about what has helped or hurt them would be the most beneficial to people experiencing this.
Hey guys -
For the past 2 weeks Iβve experienced a lot of pain right above my knee, seemingly in my quad connection area. Left knee inside area mostly. No pain when walking around normally, but when Iβm doing stairs or some PT exercises I havenβt been able to do them. Before this I was doing split squats, normal squats with a 20lb kettle and other stuff with zero pain. Not sure how this couldβve developed as I havenβt done anything crazy with my knee or fallen or twisted at all.
My PT is saying I may have a bit of quad tendinitis and heβs not concerned at all. Iβm a little worried but mostly just frustrated as I havenβt been progressing like I was before this pain was occurring. I got surgery 10/20 (ACL and very minor lateral meniscus repair). Anyone have a similar experience or have advice for me?
Thanks :)
Thereβs a certain part of the back of my heal that the slightest touch hurts so bad. I thought it might be a bone fracture or something because of the concentrated area of pain, but the internet seems to say that Iβd know instantly if I fractured it. It is slightly swollen but no bruise.
I think it happened after climbing over the holidays at my old gym. Had my shoes in the car after flying home and they were tight from the cold. I remember feeling like the back of my heal was sore after climbing because they were tight. But the pain didnβt start until about 3 days after I climbed.
Iβve been icing every night and elevating my foot. Been trying not to walk too much and use it, but when I do walk longer periods it hurts. I climbed a little on its few days ago but used a big shoe and taped my ankle so it couldnβt bend. I felt almost no pain while climbing, just small amounts when I needed to rely more on my left foot. I took it very easy climbing, no hard stuff just enough to slightly stay in shape. I have a trip to bishop planned here in a few weeks and would love to be able to go still
I tried Pro Physio at Holland Cross and it wasn't a great experience. I'm a student so I don't have the cash to try a lot of different places. Your recommendations are much appreciated!
I think I hyperextended my ankle the other night and caused inflamation in my Achilles. Almost every day I've irritated it again and caused a flare up. Anyone have any ideas on how I can take care of it--other than not stretching it again?
Compression seems to make it hurt more if that helps
i was diagnosed with 3 types of tendinitis in both my wrists TFCC, ECU, and De Quervains tendinitis. i also have shoulder pain and back pain. iβm thinking of switching to a 3 or 4 day work week with physical therapy every week. or just quitting in general.
anyone else dealing with this?
Hi Folks, been using the DDPY APP for over a year but a case of tendinitis in my arm has me all messed up. I was doing intermediate but rest is the main course of treatment. Have any if you dealt with similar? Should I pause or switch my workout plan?
Yesterday was leg day for me, and my tendinitis hit me hard once I started going into my heavier working sets. This affected my other leg pressing movements since it was only my first exercise when it started to hurt.
For those with the same problem, how do yβall do leg days?
I have a Samick, ltw-043 GACEO is written as the model number. I canβt find anything about it but think itβs early 2000βs.
I have tendinitis in my wrist and I was advised to stretch. However, when I stretch it flares up in pain the next few days. Any advice on how I can manage this ?
I started treating out-of-home about 7 weeks ago. A month ago, my wrists hurt after a full day of massaging. I decided to take two days off and they felt better.
This morning I woke up with my left wrist tendon [on the inside of my wrist, not the outside] feeling painful and sore. I immediately thought βtendinitisβ and Googled it. I then called my family practitioner and was magically able to book an appointment with him the same day. I just came back from my appointment where my doctor told me that I sprained my wrist and have tendinitis. His recommendation is to take the next couple of days off from massaging. I canceled todayβs and tomorrowβs appointments, but left Thursdays intact (I have 8) to see how I feel.
A good friend of mine told me βItβs not good that you have tendinitis this early in practice. You need to come up with a long term strategy.β Heβs right. I am a strong girl but my wrists are very small and weak.
Have any of you ever gotten tendinitis from massaging? How long did it take to heal? What did you do to help it?
Iβm a male in my mid 30βs and an athlete. Flare ups from my wrists to my fingertips began in Fall of 2020. I didnβt see a specialist about it until spring of last year. It was so bad, I couldnβt even hold my cell phone. Doc diagnosed me with tendinitis. Told me time, massage and strength training would be key to improve it. Which has proven true thus far. Unfortunately, itβs still not 100% due to my trial and error with training and even things like mixing ingredients in a bowl too often when I cook.
Whatβs helped you guys if youβve experienced similar issues?
My wife and I have a goal of attempting the PCT in β23. We recently hiked about 90 miles of the AT in Virginia, and I had to stop due to patellar tendinitis. Trying to figure out how to prevent it in the future. We might have started out a little strong with a 17 and 21 mi day and most other days about 15-16 miles. Wondering if you guys have ever dealt with it before. If we are lucky enough to hike in 23, should we roll into the miles more gradually? Thanks!
Quit my job in finance at ML to train full time. 25 years old so time is of the essence. My placeholder contract is scheduled to ship out next month. A few months ago I completed my first official PST with decent numbers. Was told by the mentor to expect a call for the contract. Instead I got a call saying that I didnβt pass vision but that once I get lasik Iβd be given my SO contract. Iβve put off getting lasik because while I continued to train I got plantar fasciitis and extensor tendinitis from running.
Do yβall suggest I drop out of DEP, recover, and start over? Or should I just get the lasik and say fuck it im going to get hurt in BUD/S anyways?
Also want to note that they told me I would not have to wait 6 months for the post surgery waiting period. Although this may actually be beneficial in my case.
Just hoping to get second opinions. Thank you.
Iβve been suffering with hamstring tendinitis for some time. Seems to have gotten better but I get a sharp pain still when deadlifting.
Was wondering if anyone had any success in treating hamstring tendinitis and what you found to work?
A while ago I developed tendinitis from playing my guitar incorrectly, will I be able to play beatsaber? Left hand pops and creaks when rotating. Right also does this but no where near as bad? If so is there anything I can do to warm myself up?
Has anyone found a squash racquet that helps with tendinitis and excessive vibration? I am using a blackstorm 135 platinum edition that seems to work well but cant find anymore stockβ¦.. thanks
Hello I have achilles tendinitis, I just bought cipro 6 weeks ago. have you had any PRP or any other operation? it hurts so much right now I can't step on both of them. The doctor suggested an injection of hyaluronic acid with a needle into the tendon. Did you recover? how did you heal? I also developed dry eyes. The doctor said it could be allergic conjunctivitis and gave drops, but the drops contain steroids, so I will ask them to change it. I started taking d3 and magnesium supplements. If you have knowledge about eyes and especially Achille Tendinitis, if you are recovering, could you please inform me in an explanatory way? thank you.
Anyone else ever get tendinitis/golfers elbow/tennis elbow? If so- what are some things youβve done to alleviate that, besides switching grips for lifts and using a sleeve (I already do both of those things).
As the title says, I have had a number of blood tests but no answers for 6-12 month joint and tendon pains. It started with sacral pain that even MRI reveals is normal. I have trouble sitting and get severe buttocks and sacrum pain all day long. Then, the middle finger joints in my right hand started to get red, painful, and stiff about 6 months ago. It even wakes me up sometimes. X-ray is normal, but you can clearly see with the eye that there is something going on. My PCP agreed that it is obvious to see and strange. Doesn't hurt to touch, just to grip objects or bend fingers. It has spread to the index and ring fingers starting a month ago. If it's relevant, there isn't any visible swelling.
Also, I get tendinitis in my knees, feet (plantar fasciitis I think), and shins for a week or so, one body part at a time. It will usually trade off from one leg to another, one knee to the other, rarely affecting both simultaneously but it has happened. I'm not hypermobile as far as I'm aware.
Other than reactive arthritis and/or ankylosing spondylitis, I'm out of ideas for what this could be or what I can do. I had to give up lifting weights because I simply cannot grip. I was told it is not likely RA since only the right hand is afflicted (and RF is negative, which I know is not always required).
I have another PCP appointment tomorrow. Can I get him to run extra tests? He isn't really sure what to do with me. I feel like a joint aspiration or something could be revealing. I mean, I'm glad my joints are radiographically normal, but I cannot floss, turn a steering wheel, open my refrigerator door, etc. without pain. You get the idea. Otherwise, I'd say I'm very healthy and energetic. I just can't be very active other than walking daily. Even then, I have to limp some days due to the tendon pain in the legs or feet.
Suggestions? Are any of the tests I mentioned in the title worth repeating in the future? Also, happy holidays!
22 year old here with Tendinitis in my thumb (which I attribute mainly to video games, texting, typing, piano playing etc). Has been going on for six months. I saw a specialist a few days ago. I thought he was pretty nonchalant, he said my X-rays were perfect but I just told him Iβve been in pain for six months. He gave me some medication and told me to wear a brace for two weeks. My main question is, can you aggravate it by wearing the brace too tightly? I took it off to shower and thought my thumb felt worse. This is Day 4 with the brace. Any advice helps. I also asked him if a cortisone shot would help and he said no.
Any advice is appreciated thank you.
Hi all hope you're all well. So I've managed to do something to my achilles tendon, the pain isn't as bad as it was, however it still hurts which is causing me to limp as I'm unable to put much pressure on it whilst walking. I attended the dojo on Tuesday for my training, probably shouldn't have to he honest with you all, but I hate the fact that I'd be missing a lesson, that being said I'm going to miss the last class of the year before we break for Christmas just in case I cause further damage to the affected area which is something I really do not want to do. Has anyone had any experience with an achilles injury and if so what did you do to help speed up your recovery? I look forward to your response OSS! π₯
