A list of puns related to "Switching Barriers"

As titled.
I entered the structural field right after I graduated.
I am 2 years into structural, but after working for several project, I think this field might not be suitable for me. I then applied for some entry level civil engineering positions.
The questions I was always asked:
why do you want to switch out of structural?
why didn't you choose a civil engineering position after graduated if you want to do civil?
Then, no matter what I answered, the interviewers always had something to argue, saying that I didn't plan ahead, bla bla bla. Then, I got rejected for not having the working experience in civil engineering design.
I am curious or concerned why it is so hard to switch from structural to civil? Is there any expectation to the eyes of civil engineer a former structural guy is lacking?
Appreciate any inputs
edit: corrected spellings...
edit: I found a job in CIVIL ENGINEERING
Hi guys β
I switched from CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser to Vichy Normaderm (.5% salicylic acid) in hopes it would do a deeper cleaning of my skin β but realized it was causing irritation. My skin is now very dry and tight, and I've gotten 4 large pimples in a row formation on the side of my chin, which is an area I never get large pimples in.
I was using it for about a week and a half β how long do you think it will take to renew my moisture barrier, given I was only using the product for a short period of time?
Should I revert back to my typical routine? Or will the Azelaic Acid cause further dryness? Thanks guys!

Hello all. I am working on a trigger that functions like a lightswitch. You step on it once, the barrier turns on, you step on it again,it turns off. So aft I made the trigger transmit on channel 1, and the barrier be disabled and enabled thru channel 1 but it is not working. Any Help?
Hello!
In 8.6, the cooldown of Heal was increased to 270 seconds. Seeing this, I'm thinking about ADCs switching back to Barrier like in S3/early S4. Barrier offers bigger effective health (115-455 HP worth of shield, compared to 90-345 HP of Heal), and it has lower cooldown (180 seconds compared to 270 seconds). Heal has the advantage of being AoE and having an MS boost though. But Heal having just a half a minute less cooldown than Flash and Teleport, I think Barrier will be the norm on ADCs, both casual and pro play.
What do you think about it? Why can Heal stay despite the CD nerf? Can Barrier take over Heal in the ADCs summoner skillset?
I see that most of the rave reviews come from people who have extremely wrecked skin due to Acid use or aging. My skin is normal to oily so I mainly want a moisturizer to gently slow aging and clear my complexion. Cerave has the same % of Niacinamide and it has the 3:1:1 Ceramide thing so what am I really missing out on? I will say I'm a little concerned about the addition of Sodium Hydroxide in the new formula, but from what I read it isn't caustic or damaging to the skin so I'm not in a rush to throw it out just yet. Can someone who's tried them both give me a rundown?
So I'm having a bit of a tough period at work where it's making me question if it's time for me to make a switch. I've worked for over 10 years in advertising and digital marketing where I'm now a strategy lead. But the environment I am in is extremely toxic and I'm thinking to switch careers to something where what I do has a very 'direct outcome' (in advertising/marketing it's very subjective on what good strategy or creative is and I'm getting quite tired) such as web development or design. To also note, I tried breaking into cybersecurity where I did a certificate program with Ryerson and graduated top 3 in my class. However, I did not get any response from all the applications I sent out and I suspect it's due to my age (I was 40 at that time and it was during covid - April 2020). Therefore, as a 42 year old...what are some jobs out there I can get into and still have a semblance of growth in that field/career? Thank you all advance and stay safe.
Looks like defensive summoner spells got a huge boost to counter the power of early all-ins.
Exhaust got a decent buff to shut down a damage dealer in a fight.
The nerf to lifesteal quints also makes sustain harder, so sustain supports might come back into the meta. It could make bot lane more passive, or it could swing the other way and have ADCs run 3 AD quints for more early damage.
Ignite was passively nerfed as more people will be using health seals, and Heal restores more health and counters healing reduction.
Heal has crazy utility now with a mini-Talisman effect to either escape from a battle or turn one around. It has amazing synergy with Distortion boots which now give a speed boost when you Flash or Teleport, and makes Ghost faster.
I think Heal could be a meta-changer, especially for bot lane. Will you be switching your Summoner Spells?

Sucks if this was the reason!
This comment claimed that this is the case, and it got some traction.

As you can see the OP mention in the same thread, apparently it used to be βassumedβ by the crew that everyone was onboard if the engines started. Uhh?

Hello,
I am playing through the questline that frees or revives Hephaestus. I imbue the hammer with the power of the forge as it says and then I go meet Hephaestus and Fenyx goes through the animation to destroy the barrier to the vault but when I get done with the cutscene, the gray stone platform the statue is on remains but the statue is gone.
This means I can't get to the vault.
And I have reloaded a save a number of times and replayed parts of the game up to this point to get this to work and it still doesn't help.
Has anyone else encountered this and
Has anyone found a fix?

Every time I start playing a new video game I'll just stop after about a couple weeks to a month, I'll really want to continue but as soon as I go on it I'll get stresses and come off. The worst part is, is I want to play the game as I still very much enjoy it or at least want to but I'll get extremely bored and agitated if I go back on. I end up annoyed and sad as I am left with nothing to do and angry at myself for not being able to continue.
Anyone else experience this and is there any ways you've found to get over that barrier? , I've tried forcing myself to play but then the whole experience is just stressful and I end up hating the game
I want to see whatβs below that room
Iβve got my Wii still kicking, both MLB Power Pros games. But sometimes it wears off a bit that Iβm playing with the Mariners that still canβt make playoffs (surely theyβve made playoffs sometime between now and 2008 right?). All rants aside, Iβve become a casual fan of the NPB and was wondering if the language barrier was that big of an issue for those who have played PP20 or is it just too much of an obstacle to enjoy the game?
I want to know which product has had the biggest impact on reducing your redness. NOT including sunscreen :)
