A list of puns related to "Sweetwater"
So my amazing wife got me the green sweetwater exclusive LP Classic for our anniversary and itβs an amazingly beautiful guitar but I am getting a WILD buzz on the G string, both open and at most frets. I had my local guitar guy look at it, the action and truss rod are set perfectly, the pickups are tight, the tuners are tight, so itβs gotta be some sort of bridge issue and he recommended I have his luthier look at it. We did a string change just to make sure itβs not a wonky string and still, wild buzz, especially when open.
Now Iβm looking at spending $100 minimum to get a brand new $2400 guitar repaired out of the box. This is minor, but the pickup switch knob was also very loose upon arrival. Overall, pretty disappointed, these are things that should have been caught 100 times during inspection.
Has anyone dealt with bridge buzz on LPs before? Are there any things I should look at before sending it to the luthier?
EDIT - I spoke to Sweetwater, played the string for the tech over the phone and he said "Oh yeah, that's pretty bad" so they offered to reimburse me for the repair. Which is fine, except I still have to repair a brand new guitar.
Also, peep the finish on this thing. It looks like it was sandpapered or some shit. I've only ever had a beat up old American Tele, this is my first gloss guitar, and I can't imagine this is normal for a fresh out of the factory guitar. https://imgur.com/a/zDZjWDl

EDIT 2 - I spoke to Sweetwater again they said the finish scratches were normal for nitrocellulose Gibsons and I can use a circular buffing machine to get those out, which I hard passed on, so they are sending me a new one. Overall, I am out the hassle of shipping and the $15 I spent on strings, but overall a success with the replacement. Great and attentive customer service, the tech was up front that those issues should have been caught prior to shipping.
EDIT 3 - Guys, I am sorry if this came across as being overly critical of Sweetwater, they have been nothing but amazing since I reached out about the issue and I am getting a replacement. I just felt like the issues like the G and the finish would have shown if the guitar was play tested further and was bummed at having to tell my wife I need to exchange the gift she worked so hard to get me. Shit happens, I am not blaming Sweetwater. They've taken care of the issue and give it a week or so and I will have a replacement. They even said I can keep playing the old one u

Few months out from the fest, but FUCK I am getting pumped for 420 fest this year. I am pretty hip on all things Phish/Trey, Umphrey's, JRAD and Spafford, but looking to get schooled on some of the other artists on the lineup.
What are some SCI shows I need to listen to in preparation? Any massive Lotus jams worth checking out? Any projects from artists in the bottom few lines that I need to hear?
Open to any and all suggestions for stuff to check out on this lineup!
A little background here, Iβve played for 20 years (serious the last 2 days). I was fingering sweet roberta (my gold top les paul) when the thought occurred that I should get roberta and myself a new friend. After a few minutes of browsing joe bonermosaβs euipboard, it was time to add a sweet telecaster to the mix (butterscotch of course). I swiftly ordered one online (she looked perfect in the catalog and my sales rep at sweetwater always sends me sweets with my strymon orders). I opened up the case and became erect upon first viewing. I plugged her into my blues jr and strummed one chord and instantly shot a load so forceful, it ripped a hole in my pants and got all over the guitar. I couldnβt let roberta know what had happened, and i knew if I kept this sweet temptress around I would never play the one I devoted myself to. I threw it back into the case and sent it back without hesitation. I got a call today saying that Iβm banned from ordering from sweetwater for something along the lines of βbiological endangermentβ and have been accused of fucking their guitars. I promptly told the man I only make sweet love with Roberta, but the shame was still there. Where can I shop now?
Have the following for trade:
Meris Enzo (would love to trade this for a Source Audio C4). It's a great pedal, I just can't extract what I personally want out of it. I also have the DayDream Superlab layout skin on it so you can see the alt functions (a must for Meris pedals imo). I also would toss in the Meris Preset Switcher that I got with this as well.
Neunaber Neuron- Killer pedal, just not using it as much as I thought I would. Figured I could give it a new home.
DOD Carcosa- I really thought I'd enjoy this fuzz more than I thought I would. Just didn't gel with it.
Keeley Compressor Sweetwater Edition- Got this in a trade. Allegedly, the blend knob is scratchy and makes a sound ONLY when being turned. When it's not being turned, there's no additional sound.
I'm primarily looking for a synth pedal replacement for the Enzo and a Delay pedal for a secondary board I have. I'd really prefer the DD-200 due to the dual delay lines, tap tempo, presets, and other functions, but will definitely listen to offers. I'd also consider a DD-500, but that mf-er is HUGE.
Also looking for a Mooer Audiofile (specifically this since it has stereo in in the form of the TRS Input).
>SweetWater alleged in a suit filed in a Georgia federal court Tuesday that it paid artist Ray "Scott" Fuss $500 in 1996 for versions of the company's logo to use on beer bottles and tap handles. Per the suit, "all was well for decades" until SweetWater was sold to its former parent company, cannabis cultivator Aphria Inc., in 2020, and Fuss began claiming for the first time he hadn't been fully paid for his artwork.
>"SweetWater was always within its rights to use the works, either by virtue of an irrevocable implied license, ownership of the works or both," SweetWater said.
>According to the suit, Fuss claimed he is owed $31 million if SweetWater were to continue using the artwork. Fuss also filed a state court suit against SweetWater's CEO seeking a constructive trust to hold $92 million, which he alleged was the value of the intellectual property in the Aphria sale.

I live in New Orleans and have attended Jazzfest for most of my life. The lineup this year has a lot of repeat acts from prior years so I am contemplating going to Atlanta during 1st weekend instead.
Both Sweetwater 420 and Shaky Knees festivals have better lineups in my opinion. I've never seen Green Day, Oysterhead, or Billy Idol.
I would love to be able to buy daily passes for both but Sweetwater only has the weekend pass. Sweetwater also hasn't announced who is playing which day. Does anyone know if Sweetwater will offer daily tickets?
I'm also wrestling with if it is worth taking 3 days off of work for travel time to go to Atlanta when I can stay home, skip 1st Friday and take no days off. Lodging is a non-issue for me in Atlanta.
I will also be at Jazzfest 2nd weekend, wristband purchased two years ago. It's a quick turnaround for two different festivals in different cities on back to back weekends. There are a lot of logistics to sort out and I'm pretty exhausted just thinking about it.
I'd love a fresh take and any input from my fellow festival goers.
Has anyone ordered a guitar from Sweetwater and had it PLEK'd? I bought a one a few months ago (which I love) but I asked for the pre and post PLEK data on it as proof that the job was actually performed. They told me they don't store the data. Anyone else come across this?
Also Neutron and Bro-1 for $200
Cancelled my 404mk2 preorder today. After hearing so much about initial bugs, and the long wait time, it all took the initial fizzle out of me. I figure Iβll wait until itβs all sorted and just concentrate on what I have now. 10/15 order date. Not looking to add more headaches. Peace!
For anyone that is interested, Sweetwater has the Hydrasynth Deluxe in stock and is shipping them now.
I don't know how many they have on hand, so good luck to all that want one.
Usually they send me some lollies and a gram of ket. Quite disappointed
I just got email that my MkII shipped from Sweetwater. I hope lots of you folks are about to get a surprise solstice gift!
Is it easy to mess up? If I get them on without any issues, will I need to get it set up again? I got a Player Strat that I'd like to make better piece by piece over time and I heard locking tuners are nice to have so I got some. Anything that makes changing strings less irritating is a plus in my book. Thanks.
