A list of puns related to "Susa"
When I arrived to the surface section of it, I realized that my shitty sandhopper long blade wouldn't cut it here so I doubled back for the vibroblade I had in storage. Fought my way through the trolls via using a force bracelet and the Sparbine, without much trouble, the invisible one gave me the most. Then, it was surprisingly easy. I spend the whole journey down psyching myself up for the cyro chambers with the cannibal. And when I got there, I was like where is he? On the way back up I decided to take a look around to see if I could find him, and he was just frozen in the corner. I thought for sure it would be harder than Golgatha, but it honestly wasn't that difficult. It may have been due to my Super-Carapace, Regen build with Sleep and Corrosive gas though that did it. I have no problems with temperature, and most things can't pierce my armor reliably.
I understand the above scenario would have absolutely been true of the Roman Empire at its height. Would the same sort of multiculturalism have existed during the Persian Empire(s)?
I didn't want to deal with Troll bosses so I used my gas to destroy the walls and moved one screen down. Up/Down stairs generated as if it was a regular dungeon.
And to think I didn't use to like Corrosive Gas mutation...
To be fair it also works with a regular pickaxe or burrowing claws, but the gas is much faster.
Hey people.
I'm having my best run yet. Crazy stats, crazy weapon, crazy AV.
I even cured Glotrot.
So this is very serious. And i'm absolutely terrified of susa
My biggest 2 runs ended there. Basically, got killed in one turn, twice.
Can you guys please give me some general advices on this quest ? And like, what am I supposed to do after I got past the 3 crazies.
I also need special advice on how to beat the invisible dude.
Thanks !
Man, what a day. After 162 hours in the game, I finally got through Bethesda for the first time. And what a dungeon! I have to commend the devs for making the entire experience pretty nailbiting. After finishing multiple 3-5 strata long dungeons, they throw a 15+ strata one at you, with a boss rush, temperature mechanics, tough enemies (I have almost 200 max hp and still almost died to a single strike from a gyrohumour) and a cool finale to boot.
The thing is, I was practically playing on easy mode (having a force bracelet on indefinitely thanks to high-level electrical generation) and it still threw a lot of curveballs at me. At some point, I think the temperature affected my gear etc. and I lost power for the bracelet momentarily, which was scary with all of the humours running around and whatnot. I also accidentally woke up Saad-Amus, which was not a welcome surprise on the second to last floor of the whole dungeon.
Tbh, not sure how people manage to do it at much lower level than me while having to fight enemies in melee. Jotun one-shotted my companion (poor Indrix), and I guess my fate would have been the same if it wasn't for the force bracelet.
Anyway, just wanted to share, and make a little bit of a Bethesda Susa appreciation post. I just love how much character each dungeon has despite the limited (although fantastic) graphics, and fighting my way through the frozen wards of Bethesda was definitely a highlight of the game so far. Only complaint is that I want to fight Bethsaida. Maybe one day...
Note: I'm posting this in case others have this issue
The game starting slowing down while visiting Bethesda Susa for the quest. Waiting 100 turns took a solid 40-60 seconds. I couldn't find anything online on how to fix it (restarting didn't work) but I think it was some of the enemies in there were causing lag and staying loaded after I left. What fixed it for me was to go through each floor and wish "geno:lurking beth", "geno:plastronoid", and "geno:drowsing urchin".
Hope this helps anybody else who comes across this issue :)
