I leave Feb. 15th for BMT and I was wondering if any of you could tell me what all Cyber Surety entails. Iβve googled & done a lot of research but canβt seem to find much. Also, does anyone else leave that day? Iβm looking to connect and make friends before I go.

We are looking into installing a security alarm system through Surety using the Qolsys 4 control panel and IQ door window sensors. I would like to have the system armed most of the time, like if I'm home but in the shower. However, we have dogs and let them outside and in frequently througout the day. My husband is weary of having it armed and having to disarm and rearm it frequently when we let them out. He and I have only had experience as kids with systems where you have to frantically punch in the code into the panel each time. I'm sure it is not like this now. Can someone explain how we can easily arm and disarm the system each time we open the doors? Just use phone app? Get the key fobs and use those? Just trying to understand how it works now days (vs 30 years ago) so I can assure my husband it will not be too much trouble to keep it armed during the day. Thanks so much!
Hi guys, I had ordered a cashier check from Bank of America for $1475. I sent it out on 11/12 and it had got lost in the mail. When I went to my local BoA today, the bank teller had informed me that I would need a surety bond in order to take any other actions on what to do with the existing cashier check. Has anyone been in this situation with BoA? If so, what did you guys do? Where would I get a surety bond from?
We just moved into a new house and it has a fairly deluxe Vivint system with Sky Control panel, cameras, etc. That being said, I despise Vivint and want to replace the system but know that almost none of my current sensors are compatible with anything else. Essentially I'll need to start from scratch.
Surety seems like a good option with quality hardware and reasonable monitoring rates. That being said, I've decided to split off my home automation tasks to Hubitat and do not need many of the advanced smart home options the Qolsys IQ Panel 4 offers. If cost were no object I'd just go with the IQ Panel, but I'm also trying to keep costs reasonable.
I guess what I'm looking for is essentially something like Simplisafe has, but with slightly better equipment and monitoring services through someone like Surety. Sensor costs are also a concern of mine - I have 18 first floor windows and 3 entry doors, so this will add up quickly. Some of these sensors run $30 each, so I do like the fact that Simplisafe entry sensors for roughly $10 each.
What I've been thinking about is buying a 2Gig GC3 or GC3E panel for cheap and then running that through Surety. Does this sound like a viable option? I'm also open to something other than Surety, but it just seemed like a good option. Thank you for the help!

I was a WF customer for over 10 years, and I've never owed money, fees, anything (I have a great credit score, the whole deal). A month ago they unexpectedly and without warning shut down my accounts. I went round and round with a zillion people on the phone, none of whom knew anything. I found out they mailed me cashiers checks with the final balances, but they sent them to my old address so I've never seen them.
I met with my local branch's manager, and he spoke to them on the phone (found out it was shut down as "a business decision", which apparently is more common than you'd think), and they told him I could take the money out a week later and without any surety bond for having to stop payment on the original cashiers checks. He asked about the surety bond specifically since they're so expensive. I went back a week later, and the same department he had spoken to now said I did need an expensive surety bond to get my money. I want to get this figured out without paying it first, so I still haven't gotten my money.
I've been assigned multiple "Case Specialists" who are all but impossible to reach and are not actively communicative, so I never know what's happening to my "case", which the local branch manager got rolling and escalated for me. So most of my money is in limbo, and I am not getting communication on how to get it without the surety bond (again, they specifically told the branch manager it wasn't necessary).
Is there a way to pursue this legally? What type of lawyer would I even need?
