A list of puns related to "Subcontract"
I have academic experiance in a niche field but haven't felt rounded enough to strike out on my own as a consultant (I have done some jobs in the past, but doubt I would be able to get enough for full time work). However I have recently come across a 2 person consulting firm that I would love to work with. Given its only 2 people I doubt they would be in the position to hire but I'm wondering if they would consider entering into a subcontracting arrangement or some other partnership (I have some skills that could expand their focus, while they have more experiance).
Has anyone attempted something like this? how do I frame this when contacting them? any suggestions or advice?
See title, basically. I'm hoping that contractors aren't slammed anymore so I can get a better chance of getting the roof and wall fixed before Christmas.
Just started Monday, self employment, let them know, I get a message today saying they have booked me an appointment next Monday in the job centre? Why would I have time off work to go to the job centre to have an appointment to verify Iβm working? Literally makes no sense. Why would I lie about getting a job and no longer needing uc?

Hi all,
For all you Main Contractors (and subs) how do you guys issue the drawings with the subcontract orders / contracts and do you issue all drawings or just those that should relate to the relevant body of works (and how/where do you draw the line)
I am a self employed consultant and was recently hired on a contract basis to perform some work for a client. I have reason to believe that my client is an employee and is subcontracting their work to me. I know the employee is not allowed to do so but am I liable as the sub contractor? I'd rather not do the work if it means I can get in trouble but would still do it if it's ok.
Basically what the title says. Let me know what questions Iβm not asking that I should...
I build racecars for a small four man shop where Iβm the only fabricator, the work load is hit and miss/seasonal, and Iβd love to fill the gaps with some piece work or one-off jobs to help make ends meet in my home shop.
Are there any resources to find small machine shops that need occasional tig welding work done? Iβm near Denver, CO if that helps.
If you have any experience with this, is there any advantages I could use to win contracts?
Do you get many cold calls asking this question?
Any ideas are appreciated.

Irvine-basedΒ defense and border protection company Anduril Industries said it has received a subcontract award from Palantir Technologies for the hardware system design for the U.S. Armyβs Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node (TITAN) prototype effort.Β Financial terms were not disclosed.
Anduril, founded by Orange County tech entrepreneur Palmer Luckey, made the announcement in a blog posting on Medium.com earlier this week.
TITAN will connect "sensors and shooters across the air, land, sea, spaceΒ and cyberspace domains so they can share targeting data in seconds," accordingΒ to BreakingDefense.com.
Big-data firm Palantir was co-founded by tech billionaire Peter Thiel, a partner in the Founders Fund, which has invested in Anduril.
I am a small business owner who is in need of a developer for Salesforce.
I am considering pursuing this through upwork.com.
Any recommendations or comments re upwork or any other online resource for finding a salesforce developer?
I am looking for a simple records application and I want it to remain as simple as possible. I want it to be well documented. There will be confidential information contained in the database so I need to work with someone I can trust.
Thanks

The Job
The team arrived to an apartment in South Night City, welcomed by the sound of powertools and screaming coming from one of the apartments.
The first few to arrive entered through the side, and came across a small group of Maelstrom. An unlucky grenade reduced them to 50% effectiveness at the start, but they were able to overpower the initial resistance.
The rest of the subcons began to trickle in, coming from the other side of the apartment building. They came into the fight from the otherside, accidentally flanking the remaining Maelstrom in the hallway.
Fighting began to drift all over the apartment building, as the team broke up into small groups to take care of pockets of Maelstrom. It came to a head when three of them witnessed the group's leader, a monsterous looking cyberpsycho, break its way out of one of the doors with a horrendous roar, wielding two Wolvers and a grenade launcher.
Fortunately, one of the subcons had an ingenious idea to shoot the gr
... keep reading on reddit β‘Sorry if this is a super dumb/naive question, but I'm doing a 1 month part-time contracting gig, and recently spoke to an unemployed ex-colleague looking for work, and was wondering if I could just subcontract out some of my work to him and take a small cut. Is this acceptable practice, and if so, should I ask the company for permission beforehand or just deliver the work?
Alternatively I could just tell the company directly that I have another developer friend who's available if they're interested, but the downside of that is that that would potentially mean less money for me since there's not that much work to go around.
To be honest the money isn't a huge deal to me since it's just a part-time/short-term gig and I already have a full-time job, but I just want to know what my options are and the most rational thing to do here is.
