They are in my opinion the stupidest item a survivor can break, it's just an extra hit in chase. I don't know why it's not complained about more, just had four survivors bring it and it was super annoying
I just purchased Kwik stop styptic powder to have as a just in case. I was checking it out and noticed it is rock solid. Has this gone bad or is it meant to be solid. I'd think powder would mean it should be dust. Not sure, I've never bought it before.

If I were to use a styptic agent then for the people someone would I have endurance next hit still?
I don't have videoproof because I don't know how, however I took a screenshot on the exact moment Nemesis downed me with his big boy tentacle whilst I had the Endurance effect on me.How common is this? Bug or feature? Sorry for the low quality, potato PC.
The full picture is: getting hooked, unhooked, punched bc camped, Decisive,vaulting to the roof of one of the houses, popping styptic, falling, getting hit with the Tentacle when Nemesis was falling.

Trying to help the environment by not using plastic disposable razors and ended up with a face like a battlefield.
So, I press the secondary action button while using this to get endurance for 6 seconds. It says doing this "consumes the med kit after use"
My question is if you do this, do you remain injured and just get the endurance effect? Or do you also heal up? Just confused on how this works. Can you heal your self up the majority of the way then use it instead?
For those who don't know, styptic powder (name brand kwik stop) stops bleeding. Somehow, Romeo got a big gash on his forehead that was bleeding A LOT. I was able to use the styptic powder I had on hand to stop the bleeding. The vet said that the styptic powder was exactly what I was supposed to do and that he would be fine. They gave him an antibiotic shot and sent him on his way.
The moral of this story is to get styptic powder. Birds are small and can lose blood very quickly with a bad enough cut or a broken blood feather, and they don't have a ton of blood to lose. You can find it on Amazon and at pet stores. It isn't expensive and can mean the difference between your bird living or bleeding out.
Like the title says, after doing a cold water rinse immediately after shaving, do you moisturize and then use the pencil or vice versa, and why?

Someone had suggested keeping styptic pencils on hand as part of a first aid kit, to stop bleeding. I guess people normally use them for shaving nicks.
In a couple of Amazon reviews people mentioned using the disposable matchbook type of styptic thingies for mouth canker sores. Now that rang a bell, because my father always kept a can of alum powder in the medicine cabinet which he told me to use for canker sores. Hurt like heck, BTW! Now I wonder if he also used it for shaving nicks.
Then I discovered alum powder is sold as a food item, apparently used in pickling to keep things crisp. You can buy a tiny jar of McCormick brand, just like any other herb or spice.
So I guess my question is, is this all really the same stuff? Can you use regular alum powder to stop bleeding, if you happened to have it around for pickling? Are there any other uses for it I haven’t mentioned? And, if you do use it to stop bleeding, I assume you would clean the area first?
I see lots of posts about how bloody warts can be. Has anyone one tried styptic powder to stop the bleeding fast? Does it work on warts.
PLT: don't usev syptic pencils because of cross or re-contamination risks.
The new syptic agent gives you the endurance status effect. Aka borrowed time / deep wounds
so if you were to say use this VS wraith you would be screwed as he hits you then he cloaks and follows you forcing you to mend and wraith gets a easy down.
