A list of puns related to "Stuart Restoration"

Stuart believes that successful food production will ultimately only be sustainable with an integrated approach that allows for continued improvement in the health of the ecosystem and can be demonstrated in operating farming systems.
Over the next decade, Stuart hopes we can revitalise many communities across WA. He talks about how vital it is to care for people, the community, our environment and the quality of the food we eat.
After the 1701 Act of Settlement was passed to ban Catholic monarchs from inheriting the throne or from marrying a Catholic consort, there were legitimate descendants of James II who were exiled and the Hanoverian line through Sophia Electress of Hanover ascended to the throne after Queen Anne's death. I remembered reading that the Catholic Stuart descendants had a separate court on the continent but little detail about that court was given in the text I read.
Was there a drastic swing to Catholic sympathies? Were the principles of the Presbyterians more similar to Catholicism or even continental Protestantism than to Anglicanism? Was it simply the opportunity to break from the Union, or out of spite for Charles II for his renouncement of promises to the Scottish during the War? Am I just missing something very obvious?
So a few months back I bought a 10v off ebay on impulse, which was a foolish thing to do, and it of course arrived in non running condition with problems that were beyond me. I asked around for anyone who might have a replacement crankshaft and got contacted by a very helpful member who was willing to make up a new one for me and check out the engine while he was at it. He has ended up going above and beyond on working on this engine, and here is the thread for it:

In addition, were Jacobites seen as a seditious element of society that had to be stamped out, or were they considered to be harmless?
Imagine unironically thinking that a self-interested parliamentary oligarchy is better fit to run the country, than a proud aristocratic patriot King picked by God to lead his people
Edit: I mean mid-18th century since they ended in 1745.
I work at what was once called a βcomputer repair shopβ, though the owners changed the branding to βtech repair shopβ a few years back when they started seeing more phones and tablets than actual desktops. Itβs not bad work overall. About half the problems are really simple fixesβrebooting the device, getting rid of some buggy software or app, that kind of thing. The other half we give to Melissa to figure out, as sheβd forgotten more than Iβd learned in the two years Iβd been working there.
Occasionally we get people coming in with lost and found type stuff. Computers or phones that someone left behind or lost. People come in, sign a form saying theyβve made a diligent effort to find the original owner without success, and then we wipe the device for them when we can.
What we donβt tell them beforehand is that we usually check the devices before wiping them. Not trying to be nosy or anything, but our boss also doesnβt want the reputation of laundering stolen phones or damaging property without the ownerβs permission. Sometimes weβre able to find a way of reaching the owner. If we do, we return the phone to whoever brought it in and tell them the info we found. After that itβs on them to do the right thing.
Other times the deviceβs owner isnβt as easy to figure out, and usually those do get wiped and restored. Unless, of course, we find something else strange on it. It doesnβt happen often. Once Melissa found a computer with some bad shit on it she reported to the cops, but that was before my time. And while Iβd seen odd stuff from time to time, there was nothing that had ever really bothered or freaked me out.
But three weeks ago I came into work to find a phone waiting to be cleaned. The paperwork was signed by Vince Teller. He was a regular. His cleaning company covered the rest stop and park bathrooms for fifty miles up and down the interstate, and over time I was becoming convinced he was making more money from selling second-hand smartphones than scrubbing toilets. Still, he wasnβt a thief so far as I knew, and when I tapped on the glass, the home screen came into view. No pin or nothing. Easy peasy.
I did a cursory glance through the phone, but it was either very new or it had already been partially wiped. No contacts, no email set up, no owner info. To be fair, it was in great shape other than a thin scratch on one corner of the screen. I was getting ready to do a factory reset when I saw a little icon in the app draw

This research was initially prompted by seeing the former Chair, Joint Chiefs of Staff, having given up his lucrative positions on the boards of GM and Sprint, not only working for a not-often-discussed investment company but chairing the board of comparatively rinky-dink little Precinmac. As it turned out, that was the first step on what became a long walk.

ADM Mike Mullen chairs the board of Precinmac. Precinmac is a defense-focused hi-spec parts and components machining company.
Pine Island acquired Precinmac on 1 APR 2020 with two other partners: Bain Capital and Compass Partners. Bain is Mitt Romney's twelve-digit AUM cash firehose. Compass Capital is the product of founder Stephen M. Waters. He has interesting connections to what we see in Pine Island.
Compass Capital's only other major holding is Nautilus Integrated Solutions, a defense-focused hi-spec parts and components machining company. Compass chose VADM John Morgan as President and CEO of NIS. Look them up and Waters and Morgan were directors at the U.S. Naval Institute together c. 2011.
Go further back and Mullen and Morgan were CNO and Deputy CNO together c. 2007. They published the Navy's current strategy "A Cooperative Strategy for 21st Century Seapower" that year.
Now Mullen and Morgan are each boss of a defense manufacturer owned in whole or in part by Compass Capital.
This is the primary loop in Pine Island.

Mike Mullen graduated the Naval Academy in 1968. MajGen Charles Bolden, a Pine Island partner, is a classmate of the same graduating year.
LtGen Vincent Stewart was Director of the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity for most of the time Mike Mullen was Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. MCIA is an hour down the highway from the Pentagon in Quantico, VA.
Gen Lloyd Austin, a former Pine Island partner, was made Director of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 2009-2010. Mike Mullen appointed him. "Austin credited the appointment as having jumpstarted his later career, saying: 'People who might not have known Lloyd Austin began to know him.'" [Wikipedia]. Austin is on the board of directors of RTX. So is David Wajsgras, a Pine Island partner.
All the retired flag officers we see, or will see, connected with Pine Island were in the Department of the Navy

Governor Northam Announces $1 Billion for the Chesapeake Bay
~ Historic investments for agriculture conservation practices, wastewater and stormwater improvements, and land preservation ~
CHARLES CITYβGovernor Ralph Northam today continued the βThank You, Virginiaβ tour today, announcing that his two-year budget proposal will provide historic funding for the Chesapeake Bay, clean water infrastructure and conserving the Commonwealthβs natural resources. With this proposal, the Commonwealth has dedicated more than $1 billion to restore the Chesapeake Bay and Virginiaβs tidal tributaries in the past four years.
βVirginia pledged to reduce pollution to the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries to meet clean water goals by 2025,β said Governor Ralph Northam. βMy budget will ensure that the Commonwealth lives up to its commitment and restores the natural bounty of the Chesapeake Bay. By assisting farmers and localities implementing our Bay clean-up plan, my budget supports the economic, public health, recreation and quality of life benefits of a restored Bay for future generations.β
The proposed budget will provide nearly $286 million to fully fund the Virginia Natural Resources Commitment Fund, assisting farmers and landowners to implement clean water and conservation practices. Working together, the agriculture and conservation communities have long advocated for full funding of Virginiaβs agriculture BMP cost share βneeds assessmentβ β a data-driven, stakeholder developed funding calculation. The cost share program supports various practices in conservation planning to treat cropland, pastureland, hay land and forested land. Additionally, funding will provide technical assistance for farmers and landowners to implement conservation practices.
Governor Northamβs proposed budget dedicates $233.6 million to address the inequities in clean water accessibility by tackling outdated sewer systems and failing septics. The proposal includes a $165 million investment to support the cities of Richmond, Lynchburg, and Alexandria and $68.6 million in funding for local municipal wastewater needs.
βVirginia is facing a 2025 deadline to meet Clean Water Act mandates for reducing pollution to the Chesapeake Bay,β said Secretary of Natural and Historic Resources Ann Jennings. βThis historic investment in the Bay respo

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Contrary to a somewhat mainstream belief that the Jacobite Rising was a war for independence, in OTL the Jacobite Rising was a war of religion, to retake the throne of the United Kingdom for the exiled Roman Catholic House of Stuart. In an alternate timeline, where the Jacobites had placed Bonnie Prince Charlie on the throne, how different do you suspect Scotland, Britain and Europe would be?
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
