first off i'm not korean nor do i live in korea but i saw soju at a liquor store yesterday and picked up 2 375ml bottles @ 20% alcohol it was around $6 or $7usd each. i drank them both over the course of 5 or 6 hours and today i have a horrific hangover as if i drank an entire bottle of vodka. i've had a lot of hangovers in my life but those 2 bottles fucked me up really good and today i'm hardly able to do anything. what the hell is in that stuff?
I would love to support local sellers and Total Wine does not carry soju nor some of the other liquors I am looking for.
Thatβs the whole post. lol. I just watched episode 4 and I was literally salivating during the clam bake scene. Iβve never had clams cooked like that and I really want to try it. Are they throwing lighter fluid on it? Or cooking oil? I imagine lighter fluid would leave behind a weird taste or smell. I have never had soju either, but I imagine it to be a little like sake? But stronger?

I am trying to find a solid source of Soju nearby. The only places Iβve been able to find any is by purchasing it at either Charlies Bulgogi or the Ssam bar around 41 & 14th. Iβve had no luck at Total Wine, & all the asian marts around 41 & MLK seem to be heavily Thai oriented. In particular Iβm looking for the Chum Churum green apple, & hoping I donβt need to head to Tampa or Orlando to pick a case up. Thanks!!

I'm hoping to buy some soju (Korean rice liquor) but so far I haven't had any luck finding any larger bottles here. I've found the tiny flavored kinds at hollywood beverage on sandy but I still haven't been able to find the standard bottles of traditional soju.
Any more-experienced soju drinkers know where the best stores are? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Hello. Iβm looking for calamansi soju. Does anyone know which distributor in the US carries this or where I can order it from? The brand does not matter in particular for me. Iβve been searching Southern Glazer in the OHIO region and didnβt see anything. I donβt know what other distributors carry. But, I miss calamansi soju and I just gotta have it again.

Approximately 12 hours ago a post was made to social media attesting to an incident where season 11 contestant Soju sexually assaulted and abused a teenager of 17 years of age.
It is generally r/RuPaulsDragRace policy to wait for mainstream media to report on the incident, or for the survivor to provide more information as to whether they are comfortable with the sharing of their story on a platform with hundreds of thousands of users such as ours.
This is done in order to prevent users from harassing these individuals who are only seeking to share their story.
In short, that approach was not possible today due to the sheer amount of voices coming out and stating that they had had the same experience with Soju.

I got back from a trip to Vegas recently where there were places selling flavored soju for $3.75. But I can't seem to find anywhere here that is selling for less than like $6.50. Is that just because it has to travel further, or am I looking in the wrong spots? Thanks
