[META] PSA on teaching kids

Dads (and teachers) know already that puns are a great way to increase kids' vocabulary. But it's increasingly obvious to me that forums like this can also be a tool for teaching sensitivity, and getting out of your "bubble" to gain a more informed perspective on differing opinions and cultures.

With that in mind, let's all of us, dads or not, keep in mind the global audience this forum has. I've come to terms with NSFW posts and comments - IMO it's up to parents to regulate what their kid reads. It's more about tone, and cultural or gender slurs. That's the dark side of humor that brings people down, whereas a solid pun or a smilie can add much-needed levity to someone's life :-).

"The More You Know"

That's all. /dad
