What are the Pandora Papers ?
"The Pandora Papers is a leak of almost 12 million documents that reveals hidden wealth, tax avoidance and, in some cases, money laundering by some of the world's rich and powerful.
More than 600 journalists in 117 countries have been trawling through the files from 14 sources for months, finding stories that are being published this week.
The data was obtained by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) in Washington DC, which has been working with more than 140 media organisations on its biggest ever global investigation.
What has been uncovered?
The Pandora Papers leak includes 6.4 million documents, almost three million images, more than a million emails and almost half-a-million spreadsheets.
Stories revealed so far include:
The files expose how some of the most powerful people in the world - including more than 330 politicians from 90 countries - use secret offshore companies to hide their wealth."
(Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-58780561)
"The leak shows that former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, singer Shakira and many other familiar faces engaged in, at best, aggressive tax avoidance that was accomplished by hiding assets in extremely complex corporate legal entities. Though in some cases hidden funds seem linked to outright corruption, much of this activity is nominally legal โ but the very existence of such structures almost guarantees theyโre being used for deeply harmful ends well beyond dodging taxes.

(That is totally a saying, shut up). Just like with any popular thing, for every fan of Death Battle, you will also find several detractors and people who are critical of the show. The most common issues I hear that people have with Death Battle boil down to a few recurring points that I would like to discuss and also give my own thoughts on what meaningful improvement might look like. By the end of this, I hope to make a case for why Death Battle is a show that is deserving of respect, even if it has certain pain points that could use some work. These points are:
The Research
Depending on who you talk to, Death Battle is either problematic for low-balling characters into oblivion or wanking them into ridiculousness. Many of these criticisms are lumped under the umbrella of "bad research", but I believe that the criticism is actually trying to say a few different things. When someone criticizes research, they generally are talking about:
a) Missing important feats/Getting things wrong
b) Poor calculations on feats
c) Flawed assumptions behind the calculations
d) Disagreement on the matchup's victor.
While these each seem similar, lumping them all into the same criticism of "research" is a disservice to a solid argument of what should change, and it doesn't actually say what the issue is. Let's start with that first point,
โMissing important feats/getting things wrong.
Ultimately, this is one of the biggest turnoffs to me in a Vs Battle. It seems like the solution is simple, just "double-check everything", but in reality, reliable feat gathering is much more complicated than that. The first step involves determining canon, which is a whole mess itself. Everyone seems to have a different definition of what counts as canon. Some people may view it as "the official continuation of a character's storyline", whereas other places (such as my own show, Smash Bracket) simplify Vs Battle canon as "any official representations of a character". Even once that is established though, the issue is still more complicated than you may think. What if a game is made by another company but has heavy involvement and endorsement from the original company? For example, one of the series I am most informed aboutโStarFoxโhas a crossover
The beginning
It all began back in 2003, so yes, 18 years ago a company named Norlight Telecommunications firmed FIBER OPTIC EXCHANGE AGREEMENT AND GRANT OF IRU with our friends from SEC.

Do you remember the dark fiber suspension back in May? Right after the suspension we had a massive price action and run up that resulted in a peak back in June? Keep this in mind.

The forced takeover plan
Now the year is 2015 Windstream Communications begins to suffer from short attacks, how do I know this? Volume my friends! Volume tells you a history, look at the chart below:

Can you see that all of sudden the red volume bars are growing? This is the anatomy of a short attack. Now take a look that they began back in 2015 and finished their job in 2019.
There is another factor to take into consideration, the company tried to scape the predators by issuing 2 stock splits.
Now you may ask me why do a stock split during a short attack?
Let Nasdaq answer this for you.

A widely spread meme shows a picture of the 1930s cartoon character Betty Boop, and a photo of a woman looking very similar. There are several forms of this meme.
The meme typically claims the woman in the photo is Esther Jones, a famous black performer whose image was apparently unethically exploited when cartoonistย Max Fleischer invented the cartoon character Betty Boop, based on Jones' image and singing style. The meme claims Esther Jones spent years unsuccessfully trying to win back her legal rights to the image. Another case of a talented black woman exploited by the white entertainment industry.
Various videos and websites make the same claim, sometimes with different photos.
For a five minute video version of this post, go here.
But this isn't true
Firstly, the woman in the photo at right is not Esther Jones. It's a photo of Ukranian modelย Model Oyla (ะะพะดะตะปั ะะปั), in 2008,ย dressed as Betty Boop. [1] Secondly, Esther Jones never claimed she was the original inspiration for the Betty Boop character, and never showed any interest in claiming any rights to it. Thirdly, the Betty Boop character was originally based on a French poodle not on Jones. The character first appeared as a white woman with a long poodle like face, and drooping ears, and only later developing into a normal looking woman. [2]
But there's a twist
It was not Esther Jones, but a white woman, Helen Kane, who sued Fleischer and his studio for US$250,000 for copying her visual appearance, including hair style, dress, makeup, and voice, as well as the "boop a doop" catchphrase she used while singing. [3] However, Fleischer completely denied the Betty Boop character had been based on Kane.
But there's another twist
At trial, Fleischer's lawyer claimed Kane herself had taken the phrase "boop a doop" and her sin

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

since my exams are over and i submitted all my papers, i've had some free time and put together a new timeline for us here on duggarsnark, it includes everything i could think about, to the best of my knowledge. with that in mind, i am prefacing this with the knowledge that i will have made mistakes in it, please feel free to correct me in the comments if you find an error. so much has happened with so much being revealed, i couldn't get it straight, so here you go. i hope this helps any new snarkers with the basic history of the duggars. if i also have failed to include something lemme know and i'll add it in. in thanks, i want to thank this sub, and the posts on here which helped in putting this together, especially /nuggetsofchicken who helped with the legal breakdowns for the trial timeline, and the faqs which helped with the more mythic aspects of this, i also utilised the fundiewiki a great deal so shout out to them.

I just feel that this material way of life is killing the souls of so many people...including mine. They say the love of money is the root of all evil. I am really starting to realize this to a whole new extent.
Nowadays society sees something beautiful, like a beautiful voice and says "You can make a lot of money as a singer", or "You have a great body and face, you can make a lot of money as (xyz)". Or "You write great poetry, you should try for an advertising agency, or a ghost writer".
We put an earthly value to something God-given and divine, and we just want to monetize, monetize, monetize...get more lucrative...funny word, lucrative, sounds like Lucifer...
How about our moral fibre? How about our conscience? Everybody looking for the promoter that can hook em up to sell their soul to the Devil, while rationalizing "Well, I can do a lot of charity with all that money"...buying indulgencies, hoping for a place in Heaven.
I am just so tired. Tired of chasing paper that banks create out of thin air and laugh at us all. Tired of double-faced political talk, "corporate culture" and "values"...all this smoke and mirrors. We humans are like different species based on money and status. We hate it, but we keep coming back for more, cause we hate the uncertainty, and prefer chasing money, status...and false security, while wasting our lives.
I am sick of this propaganda, controling our choices in life, making us feel miserable, while we keep running and running and running after the almighty dollar while wasting our lives away. I am sick of feeling trapped in this matrix, this mass mind control.
We are all human beings with equal worth in front of God. Yet, all that matters is the net worth...I just want a simple, honest life...honest relationships...honest people...honest media...honest work...honest money. And most of all - I just want to remember how to enjoy life again.
Hi all,
I'm looking for a local guitarist / singer to perform at a corporate ribbon cutting ceremony. Does anyone have any recs?
A little more about the gig: it would be on a Thursday in March (likely March 12) from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. As for genre, I'm hoping for some modern country, Americana, covers of classics. Open to anything really!
Thanks!
Happy New Masked!
Welcome to the most complex series of Celeb Fursuit Karaoke yet, with twists and turns at every corner and twelve celebrities, some of which that certain users on this sub will SCREAM at. My phone is charged if you want me to call 999.
Also you'll be seeing one of my tweets (this is the group I know nothing about) but that won't compare to seeing actual, corporeal me in the audience tomorrow. To watch Doctor Who or Bake Off today will probably be a mistake.
Again, I'll be posting a recap every Episode Discussion, if you care about hearing my thoughts.
As always, please obey reddiquette when posting and avoid links to torrents or any illegal streams for the show. You can watch episodes on-demand via ITV Hub within the United Kingdom or stream it live via ITV Hub or TVPlayer, both of which are, again, only for Britons. All episodes will be also available to stream via BritBox soon.
To set your flair and rep your favourite(s), a guide can be found here.
If you love the series then be sure to check out our international friends! We have /r/TheMaskedSinger for a ton of tierlists and infighting, and /r/TheMaskedSingerAU for discussion of the Australian version.
Thanks for taking the time to hang out with us here at /r/TheMaskedSingerUK and enjoy the show!

Labaton also asked the FDA to rescind SAVA's drug designation citing clinical data manipulation, to which the Journal of Neuroscience openly called out as bullshit.

A scheme that chief compliance officers and in-house counsel (like the ones who read ComplianceWeek) shouldnโt ignore.
For the legal arms of public companies digging into abusive short selling, apart from a standard toolkitโ-tracking false market rumors (how about that NFT marketplace โannouncementโ from WedBushโs research into GMEโฆand al Qaeda?), social media (pump and dumps on W Ess Bee?)--they were reminded to pursue any and all legal options.
