A list of puns related to "Set Top Box"
I dont play golf, and wouldn't know one ball from another.
I am guessing there are different types of balls for different things? I just want to buy the best all round ball that money can buy.
Links to any other highly sought after golf gifts would be great too..
Thanks guys.
I decided to buy myself my first ZZ Top CD, so I went to store and founded two box-sets in my local shop - one containing albums from 1970 to 1980, and second, containing few best known. I think that bigger box is better, but Discogs says that "the one with best knowns" is isn't remastered. Is that true? They are the same mixes and masters or they differ in some or other way?
Iβve looked but canβt seem to find one. If they donβt make it they really should it would be great.
I just got into EDH relatively recently. I have some of the $30ish staples but nothing really more expensive than that. I also really like opening card packs so I was wondering what the best set to open, preferably a set thats under $500 but has a chance for some really good cards for EDH
Iβm pretty tech savvy and have studied networking in the past. I enjoy continuing to learn and upgrade my own βtech-lifeβ with what I learn.
When I lived at my parents, I decided to run cat5e to my room from my FiOS router for the best connection possible. I have since moved out and now lease a single family home with 2 roommates. We also have FiOS service at my new place with the same equipment (ONT outside the house, quantum gateway router inside the house, and 5 STBs).
Since I donβt own the property, I donβt want to try to run cat5e through the house. I was looking into possible solutions to the disconnecting issues Iβve experienced on my PS4, which I would like to try connecting wired.
I began researching and discovered MoCa. As I understand it, MoCa is a way to distribute network traffic/connections using the existing coax infrastructure in the house. The FiOS quantum gateway router has a coax port and it is used to βinjectβ network traffic/signal into the coaxing wiring, which I turns goes to wherever the cabling is installed around the house. This means one can have an internet connection without having to instal cat5e and instead use a coax port already installed in the walls.
As I studied MoCa and how it works, I got curious and checked my my routers web interface for more information and saw that it shows STBs as having a connection type as βHardware MoCaβ.
So my question is:
Are FiOS cable set top boxes really just network devices?
Can I split the existing coax line in my room and have one for my cable STB and then convert the other to regular Ethernet with a MoCa adapter?
Ultimately, Iβd like to have the MoCa adapter go to a small 4 port switch.
In the market for one and need the expert advice of my fellow pirates
Back in 1999, I bought a couple boxes of Pokemon cards. Doing some research, what I bought was base set shadowless cards (The ones released between "Edition 1" and Unlimited) .
I had opened one box and put the cards into plastic sleeves, but kept the other box unopened. As mentioned in the title, the plastic wrap is torn and the top of the box has some damage, but I think all the cards/boosters inside should be mint.
I saw some articles about these boxes selling for...well, a *lot* of money, but not sure how much the torn shrink wrap and damage changes things.
Any thoughts?

Is it just me or does that rub anyone else the wrong way? Just because I am cancelling I know have to go through the sign up process with some other random fucking company, give them my details and presumably get spam from them too now?
What if I called Foxtel and just told them to pick their shit up because I'm not creating some bullshit account. Anyone tried that?
PSYCH!
April fools!!!!
Could you imagine if a headline as wacky as that one was actually real??
Nah. Whole world is still shut down.
Sweden has a nationwide terrestrial broadcasting grid for TV channels and radio. The TV broadcasts has been purely digital since 2007, and the digital channels were broadcasted in parallel for about a decade before the analog signals were finally phased out.
This story begins in the middle of 2007, when we in my family finally accepted that fact that we had to force my granddad to get a set top box.
I bought one that I had from previous experience kind of appreciated as having no unnecessary extra features, and that was capable of producing error messages on the screen in Swedish, since gramps didn't exactly see the need to learn english just for the sake of the STB, going steady on 90 years old.
It did have one feature though that was unavoidable: it was ANOTHER REMOTE. The horror. The annoyance. The whining. The...you know, the hardships elderly sometimes have adapting to new technology.
It took him quite some time to figure out that there were some buttons on the remote to the tv that was used for some things, and that the tiny, new remote was to be used for all the rest. When I say "quite some time" I actually mean that it took probably a hundred phone calls and at least 20 house calls to increase his confidence level to the point where he had it barely figured out.
Once he was confident, though, that's when the problems started.
At fist, it kind of came sneaking up on me. Eventually, it was my standard evening pastime, talking about how to press a specific button "yes, the one on the third row. it has s symbol that looks like an arrow and a ring, kind of thing. Yes. I'll wait while you fetch the magnifying class. No. No. Not the pink one. This one should be black! Oh, it only looked pink because you spilled something on it? Good. Press that button." until he could get the news on.
Rapport, the SVT news program, has been broadcasted since 1969. It has been aired at 19.30 for as long as I can remember. Which means that if the phone rang at 19.20-ish, I already knew who was calling.
After going through the frustrations with teaching how the remote worked (yes, we wrote actual instructions. in Times New Roman 20pt, for easier readability) the calls eventually evolved into something more...peculiar. That is what the story is actually about.
No matter how he tried, he failed to change tv channel at will. Sometimes other grand children came by, watched something and left the box set on another channel. And it was 100% certain that he was unable to
... keep reading on reddit β‘It's kind of strange as sometimes it works perfectly, other times I get double presses.
It constantly pops up
Just finished the show last night and really want to support the author/a new season, as well as read the rest of the story. Either all of the LNs or picking up at 7 after where the show left off.
Thank you.
