I usually save my most ridiculous posts for Fridays, and with Caldera's Toasted Coconut Chocolate Porter, I made no exception! I'm actually really impressed with how smooth this is; the coconut is the MOST forward flavor, but even it is fairly muted. a nice semisweet-and-savory treat!

The tuner was out today, $95. He was very confident the old relic will hold its tune decently but stated the bass notes sound "tired". The tuning board has cracks developing and a liquid treatment has been done to it (2005). The bass upper bridge also has a crack but its towards the bottom of it and shouldnt cause any issues with tone as it runs horizontal? instead of a verticle crack. The keys are in need of new bushings and the action felt is flat, causing some rattle but not bad to the point of annoying.
He confirmed is has the original action which explains the worn condition. Appraised at $600-700 and I only paid $50+ 270 to have it moved.
His father (passed on) tuned the same piano in 1989 and he tuned it in 1995. He definately remembered my piano :) and knew everyone else who tuned it. He expressed it was and hopefully will continue to be, a well used and played piano.
Gluten free German chocolate cake I made for a friends birthday. Made it mostly so I could eat cake too at the party lol. Finding gluten free peacans was the hardest part! I substituted the "germans chocolate bar" for semisweet chocolate with extra sugar.

The drink on the right is 'otai. A semisweet mix of mango coconut half and half and sugar. It makes a great kava chaser.
