Yesterday I went to my SBI branch for re-kyc because they had deactivated my dormant account. All I had to do was follow these very short and simple steps:

1. Fill the kyc form, attach photo, aadhaar card and pan card copy
2. Go to service manager who will verify that the form has been filled correctly and stamp the form
3. Go to the kyc official, wait for her to come back from lunch, then she will enter the details in the system
4. Go back to service manager who will again verify that details have been entered correctly in the system and stamp the form again
5. Fill the cash withdrawal form to do a token withdrawal to reactivate the account (online withdrawal not allowed)
6. Go to the cash counter to submit the form, wait for him to come back from lunch, get his stamp
7. Take the form to the service manager. It's his turn to go for lunch now. Once he is back, he will again verify the form and stamp it again (I love how thorough they are)
8. Take the form back to the cash counter and finally get your hard earned cash.
9. Feel the immense sense of achievement and go home happy.

I was in and out of the branch within two hours, easy-peasy!

I have an account in SBI which I opened when I was in college, and then used it only for 2 years, and now for last 7 years that account has been dormant.

My refund for ITR was somehow credited to this account, despite me not adding it on the ITR portal, so I decided to close this account.I went to the branch today to get this done, as soon as I entered one of the peons at the branch asked me to come back wearing "Full Pants" as wearing shorts is against customer decorum.

I asked him, where it is written, he said "we expect customers to follow basic decency"

I asked him to share with me any official rule or circular and I will go back, this time in a bit louder voice. Another clerk interjected, " You go to office wearing shorts too?"

I said, "this is your office, not mine, show me a dress code for customers and I will go and change".

"Aisi cheezon ka circular nahi hota" ( "There are no circulars for stuff like this") he replied.

After a moments silence, a female clerk shouted " Yaha do female staff hai, aapko sharam nahi aati half pant pehen ke aa gaye aap" ( You should be ashamed that you're wearing shorts to the branch when there are female employees )

I retorted, " aapko sharam nahi aati, bank mein aaye customer ke kapdo par nazar rakhte hue? Apna kaam karo na aap" ( " You should be ashamed that you checkout a customers' clothing and comment on it, instead of doing your own work")

I then heard her saying to another clerk, "Aise logo ke muh lagna bekar hai, ab yahi kal nanga bhi ayega aur ladai karega" ( It is pointless to talk to people like him, tomorrow he'll come naked and ask us to do their work)

I was fuming, and wanted to shout back at her, but didn't, just asked my question about closing a dormant account to the clerk who didn't give a fuck and left.

Update 1:

For people asking where this was, this was in sub-urban bengal, but very very close to Calcutta. ( not even 10 Kilometers from the Calcutta municipal border)

For people interested in the shorts that I was wearing, I have shared link in one of the comments, and I wasn't wearing boxes. These are proper running shorts, which I have worn to multiple banks.

I have tweeted to SBI to ask them if they have an official policy about it, if I get a response on this I'll take a print out ( because SBI employee's would want it in duplicate ) and shove it on their faces.

The Case

Recently, an experienced player in my guild had his name forcefully changed by Albion Support from "Nigus" to "GooglyMoogly1310". While at face value, this might seem justified. However, "Nigus" is not a native-English speaker. He is a Korean player with a limited understanding of English and according to him, prior to albion, he had no knowledge that his name sounded eerily similar to a racial slur.

If you are interested, go on an albion player database site and search for his name and guild history. Most of his guilds prior to his current guild are Korean guilds, like DANSO.

Upon knowing of this issue, several of my guild members decided to help Nigus craft an email explaining to Albion Support that he had no knowledge that his name could be interepreted as a racial slur when he was choosing his name.

I tweeted and forgot about it, and then the next morning the tweet had blown up, and yesterday I noticed it being part of several news sites and instagram posts ( I count 10 articles at the time of writing this, including Aajtak, Zee News, and DNA and was also there in a video from Lallantop)

Today morning, I got a call from the CM Administration of SBI of my region. They said they wanted to talk to me, I agreed, they came to my house along with the branch manager ( one of the lady who made the " we are female staff, how can you dress like this" taunt)

The CM gave an unconditional apology, and himself wrote the application for my accounts closure ( but the technicality of going to the original branch to close the account still stand, which I will do the next time I am back home, so for now they will just activate my account)

They also asked me to take the tweet down, which I denied, but I said I will tweet a note of thanks for their help and also ask to not take any strict action. ( Which I did and attached the link of this tweet to the original tweets' thread)

I got a couple of calls from the Branch Manager to delete the original tweet as their regional head is still angry at them about it, but I have given the above explanation to them.

( They came to my house to get a withdrawal slip signed and then delivered the token 100 rs needed for activation, and then took a picture with me to send to their CM)

Which I am not sure If I should delete, as I want it to be there as a reminder that public service doesn't equate power to harass.

Listen, SBI, I know you've been overwhelmed these last few years. Between the pandemic, mobile launch, major content updates, and all the drama with you-know-who, things can get left out or forgotten. It's understandable, but Lands Awakened has been a success, the game has successfully weathered the rise and fall of that other game by that modest online bookseller, and now it's time to modernize the fucking party interface.

Let me provide a quick disclaimer here: I offer all feedback here out of love and appreciation for the game, and I understand that these things are often more complicated than a Reddit essay can address. That said, modernize the fucking party interface.

It's 2022. My phone connects to my watch and can automatically notify rescue services if I fall down a ravine and lose consciousness, but I cannot resize or hide the party bars, or modify in any way the information they present based on my role or the size of my party. As a raid leader, I cannot coordinate between parties with any in-game function. As a healer or support, I can't enter instanced content without my party bars scrambling themselves. As a DPS, half my screen is obstructed by the only health bars in the entire fucking zone that don't matter to me. In a recent survey of players named DocOgion, 100% of respondents cited the party interface as the single greatest flaw in AO's endgame content loop, with distant runners-up being Corrupted Dungeons and The ridiculous gold price of city plot fences/walls. The basic quality of life functions missing from Albion's party interface aren't new or revolutionary, but basic concepts that have been present in MMOs for nearly two decades.

Albion's conceptual and spiritual similarities to Ultima Online are endearing, but that doesn't mean we should still be mimicking a party interface that was developed before the Euro began physical circulation.

My Wish-List:

1. If third-party client-side UI modification is going to be forever off-the table, we need first-party options to do it ourselves. Resize, hide, sort (without random scrambling every time we zone into an instance >:() are functions consistently offered within the genre.

2. Additional tools for party/raid/guild leaders. These are the content-drivers that make the game go, so maybe don't require them to use the more spreadsheets a

Yesterday, I got some work done at my local SBI for which requests were made on my behalf on their systems. I was also advised to download YONO on my phone.

And since then, I’ve been getting this message “DEAR SBI CUSTOMER YOUR SBI YONO ACCOUNT & DEBIT CARD WILL BE BLOCK ON 28/12/2021 FOR TODAY PLEASE UPDATE YOUR PAN CARD NUMBER IMMEDIATELY KINDLY PLEASE VISIT BELOW THE LINK (I’ve omitted the link). The SMS has been sent from a random Airtel Kolkata number.

I believe their CRM has been compromised to an extent, where the scammer knows the vulnerability of the customer and when to target them.

I know this is a bit cringe but Reddit can be a bit of negative echo chamber so I thought I'd throw down some positive vibes... I think a big congrats to SBI is definitely in order. This last content update, combined with Call to Arms has made Albion Online an insanely fun game to play. All games have their issues (especially mmo's) but I don't think anyone can doubt that this year has been a real step up from SBI.

The Faction system overhaul and rewards path was a fantastic addition to the game and to see those strong improvements evolve into the conquerors challenge and open world rework really highlights how well this year has been planned out behind the scenes. Last year I was one of the many hoping for a return focus on the open world and here it is. Wether casual or hardcore, there is rich exciting content for every play style in Albion at the moment. Call to Arms and Lands Awakened are without a doubt the best things to ever happen to Albion, well done SBI... and that's all without even mentioning the successful mobile release!

Looking forward to see what the future holds for this game. Some things I'd personally love to see in the future is more lore/quests, royal weapons, city plot system improvements, and a farming/housing improvements for those low intensity mobile moments.

I noticed that SBI (State Bank of India) was down for 2 days and today ICICI Bank seems to be down. SBI is India's largest bank and also its owned by Govt of India and ICICI Bank is India's 2nd Largest Bank and the largest private secotr bank.

Having some cash and silver & gold seems to be a good idea.

I'm a minor and I'm in need of SBI bank account to receive government scholarship urgently.

A month ago I went to SBI branch near me to open a minor bank account. Several issues were pointed out by the bank employees and I was heavily discouraged from creating an account while being minor and I was asked to wait till I turn 18 next year .

We needed the account on an urgent basis. Eventually they said that the account cannot be created as the bank account of my parent was in some other SBI branch, which was in a far away city. My parents went there and got it changed to this branch. It took some time.

Now today I went there again with the entirely filled form which was "checked" 6-8 times if it was sufficient only to be immediately told to visit another branch which was nearer to my house but we saw through the bullshit and refused they then immediately asked me for my PAN card. The thing is earlier I was clearly told by the same person that PAN isn't required for minor accounts and form 60 would be needed in its place. Now I was told to go away yet again as I didn't have pan card.

I tried arguing back that pan isn't mandatory for minor accounts but I was just sent from counters to counters when they didn't know what to reply and at last I was refused in very clear words. They even went on to lie that pan is mandatory for minors only and that form 60 was for adults who did not have a pan card when I asked them why form 60 was provided.

When I tried to show them the requirements online, the person replied "Hum to offline kam karte hai, hum offline ki knowledge use karenge"

I'm aware about other people of same age being able to create their account in a single day without pan being asked in a different branch of SBI

I really need this account immediately for my scholarship along with college admission. Can anyone tell me what to do?

Edit: I went to the branch and sorted things out with the chief manager also got someone to "call" them. They seem to have mellowed down now and accepted my application.

The manager sent me back to the same staff some of them started pin pointing "errors" again but once they realised that I had sorted things out with the manager they immediately started cooperating . I hope they don't create any further issues.

Hey guys, How you doing? Wish all of you happy Christmas holidays.

I'm a huge fan of the souls series (bloodborne and ds3 are among my favourite games) however I'm a huge of the senran Kagura series (I got into the series at 14 years old, why? not hard to understand eheh). I truly want to play Dark souls cause I want to finally finish the trilogy, I think that it's a game that everyone should play, and (as I said before) I love the souls series... On the other side I want to play Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash cause it seems to be REALLY fun (overall the senran kagura series is really fun to play when you just want to chill).

I know, there isn't a definitive answer (for the majority of you it will surely be Dark Souls) for that since they are COMPLETELY different games but you opinion might help me choose.

We love your game. That’s why we come to the Reddit and talk about it, we are on all the discord severs and play it all the time. I am here to ask you guys to do the community a favor and revisit old content every big patch and just add 1 or 2 things to them.

Sbi has always been hyper focused on new content and whatever the next patch is. Always forgetting about old content in the game. And when they did revisit content it was part of the hyper focus like when they redid hellgates and faction warfare.

Here is my wish for sbi. A small side team focused on old content that consistently adds new things to them to keep them fresh for every major patch.

New corrupted dungeon bosses/mobs. New battle fields for the arena. New solo and group dungeon bosses and room layouts. New avalonian raid bosses. And rebalancing old ones.

All of this would make old content feel fresh and not completely forgotten about. You don’t need to focus a full patch on updating and caring about old content. Just a few thing here and there every major patch would go a long long way. Hidden treasures were a pretty cool addition to the game back then but now no one even stops to get them.

TLDR: a small team at sbi focusing on adding stuff to old content for every major patch would go along way to keep the game fresh for new and old players alike.

SBI is saying it falls in a bracket and can't be reversed. It almost comes to 25% rather than normal 3.5% late charges. What can I do? Seems like daytime robbery.

I'm making a small RISC-V kernel, and I need a way to print, but the sbi_console_putchar function is marked as deprecated with no replacement. Does anyone know any alternatives?

Ok so I always found going to the branch and manually printing the passbook for transactions very cumbersome, especially due to corona.

Till date I have been using the monthly emails by SBI to keep track of my account. And I may have atleast 2 years worth of transactions to be printed.

My SBI (TATA) credit card was used to purchase a video game when I raised a dispute the bank reached out to the merchant, in this case, it's Microsoft (XBOX) and they gave them a document stating the purchase it was invoice like a document with all the details of the purchase, upon looking at it I found out that most of the details were fake including the email as nor me or any of my family members owns Xbox, there is a very good chance that card details got leaked online somehow, when I contacted Microsoft they said they can't do anything about it since I didn't have access to that account ( of course cause it's not my account ) and when I further contacted SBI (TATA CARD) about it they keep saying the same thing that contact merchant about the transaction

so I am stuck between merchant and bank any of you had a similar experience how did you deal with it?

I opened the app after a long time, and, to my surprise, I cannot use it because I have AnyDesk installed. The amount of restrictions are getting ridiculous.

Today my younger brother visited the SBI branch to open an account. He was asked to pay Rs. 3200 (3000 Minimum balance + 200 insurance). When he said he doesn't need the insurance, they denied opening a new account. They said it is compulsory to buy the insurance policy.

The same thing happened to me. I visited another branch to change transaction rights in my account and the bank staff asked me to open YONO app and select "Personal Insurance". I said that I don't need policy I just want to change transaction rights. He said that it might be the solution to my issue.
