A list of puns related to "Round Robin Tournament"
##Combatants
Jarro and Batman will be acting as referees.
##Rules
This is a round-robin, so each Robin will fight every other Robin one-on-one. Whoever gets the most victories wins the tournament. So even if Dick beats Damien, Damien can still win if he gets the most wins overall.
They're unarmed and unarmored. A combatant gets 24 hours to rest up after finishing a fight.
In-character. This is a friendly spar. They're not going to kill or seriously injure one another.
Takes place on the SS Robin. Winner gets free Baskin Robbins for life.
How many complete tournaments on n vertices have all n vertices with equal number of in-degree and out-degree? Considering round-robin tournament on n players, how many outcomes have all n players with equal number of wins and losses.
As long you have the batbook pitch in one of the nominees, it's guarantee a white flag for the other non-batbook pitches. Even when "Robins" by Tim Seeley has won the tournament. A lot of them find it lukewarm and have mixed responses. We could have a "Green Lantern: Underground of Fire", a Zatanna solo or even a Blue Beetle book. But no, instead we get another batbook instead in the end. I feel that this tournament is a terrible mistakes ever and it still haunt us for those who want other books to get released. Anyone agrees?
My (19F) first tournament is coming up! Been doing this for about three months. Iβm pretty anxious about things Iβve never done before (mental illness innit?) and I have a bunch of dumb questions. Do multiple matches happen at once, or is everyone watching your fight? If you donβt have enough people in your weight bracket, do they match you with lighter or heavier people? You are promised four matchesβ¦ do they happen all at once in succession? Yβall wear headgear? Do I need to worry about my arm getting whole ass broken? Do they announce your fight? Please give me the run down π©
I'm bored so I'm going to rank the Championship clubs based on how well they would do if their nickname was competing for them in a tournament in which every competitor faces every other competitor once. I'll be assuming a roughly equivalent mass of each competitor (i.e, an insect team going against a bird team, you have a bird's weight of insects):
-
Norwich: The Canaries - Haha get the fuck out of here, the canaries are dead. I guess against clubs with insect teams they'll do very well. 4/10
Brentford: The Bees - Bees? What the fuck are bees gonna do? Even if we were to assume the same mass of each these bees are getting destroyed by any bird-based team. Still, their numbers might be an issue, especially for mammals, but an equivalent mass? I'd bet on the birds, but maybe not mammals. Humans will struggle. 4/10 (+2 modifier against humans)
Swansea: The Swans - Ok, this is more like it. Swans are known to be vicious and they're not exactly small. Still, their weight means there will be less of them, but I don't think it will matter much, swans don't exactly look that scared when you see them outside. It's because they know they can fuck pretty much anything up. 7/10
Watford: The Hornets - Uh, better than bees? Not really, seeing as some bees are known to overwhelm an attacking hornet and cook them alive. Still, they do this because they know if the hornet goes and gets its mates their nest is done for. Bit of a stalemate, an equivalent mass of bees could stand a chance, but against anything else hornets aren't gonna do much but ward them off, and I don't think we can count that as a win. They'll probably fare better than bees against larger enemies and humans. Maybe. 4/10 (+2 modifier against humans)
Reading: The Royals - Ohhhhh fancy, the Royals Is it? No Royal Guard or army, basically a normal human that's been catered to all their life. Eh. Humans are bigger than a lot on the list so probably not as bad as you'd expect but I can't see them winning against multiple medium sized mammals or a swarm of insects. 5/10
Bournemouth: The Cherries - Refreshment for the other competitors. Their stone centre isn't gonna count for much here, but bonus point for hardness. 2/10
Barnsley: The Tykes - So a bunch of toddlers? Might give the Royals or smaller animals some trouble, but insects and larger mammals won't struggle here. 3/10
Cardiff: The Bluebirds - Another bird team here. Again, solid against insects, not muc
... keep reading on reddit β‘We had a win loss ratio of 4-3, losing to the the 1st place team (7-0) and the teams that tied second(5-2). First place team even said we were the best against them and they hoped we would win against one of the second place teams (we almost did, only one point away).
Well thanks for reading just wanted to express my happiness for doing well, I also did well on our spikeball quiz since it's the end of that unit
Since All Out had now gave us all the big names and over the past year year and half we got the home grown talent as household names. I think itβs time for AEW to take a page out of AJPW and NJPW and have their own Round Robin Tourny or a NBA Style tourny. Call it the βKing of Suitsβ or βRoyal Flushβ (since AEW theme is poker/card games) or take a page out of old school territory wrestling days with tourneys as Opera cup or Crockett Cup and call it the Ted Turner Classic/Cup have 4 blocks for each suit of cards or have two blocks for the color of cards (Red Black or White and Gold) and winner faces Kenny or Kenny chooses due to losing a match in the tourny since he said thereβs no one that can beat me last night and to my knowledge we never seen a round robin style on tv or take the NBA approach (since NBA is show majority on TNT) where they have a 8 man tournament and itβs best of 7 but make it a best of 5 10-12 man tourny using the power ranking system and have 1 slot vs 12 slot or break up in groups Gold and Silver where gold is the fist 6 and the silver/white/or black is the last 6 and have it 1 slot vs 6 slot and then 7 slot vs 12 slot so forth and so on. I think it would be great for AEW and having fun must watch matches not only on Dynamite and Rampage but also nice treats on dark and elevation
We are holding a 3-team single-round-robin Dota2 tournament, my question is what would be the best tie-breaker system if all three teams finish with a 1W-1L standings. All 3 series will be played on a best-of-3 Captains Mode.
Any suggestions is much appreciated.
Block A
Block B
I would have Bryan and Ricochet be the block winners. Build up the fact that no one has ever kicked out of the end of days and then have ricochet kick out of it and beat Corbin to win the block. Then Ricochet over Bryan.
What is your thought on the World Test Championship being a continuous round robin (and then knockouts and the final) tournament over a period of 2-3 months , similar to how domestic first class tournaments like Ranji Trophy, Sheffield Shield and County Championship are? Or just like limited overs World Cups? Instead of whatever we have now with the regular bilateral series consisting the 2 year long tournament? Wouldn't that be more exciting and have more context ?(keeping in mind that some have questioned the context of many of the games in the current WTC, and people doubting whether it actually decides the best 2 teams).
I understand it means a lot of workload for the players, and there are many logistical and other issues with such a long tournament. But if they can be done for First Class tournaments, then why not for WTC?
