I am a 17 year old self-taught art history hobbyist, Iβve been into it for the past couple years or so. Iβve always known about Rothko and his ideologies surrounding the human connection between man and creation, but I never felt the true emotional impact of his work until presented with No. 14 at the SFMOMA. I live in the Bay Area, and I was wondering where I could absorb more of Rothkoβs work from my own personal gaze.
Today I stood in front of several Rothkos. I felt nothing. I thought, βwow, I guess Iβm just retarded and insensitive.β Then I saw the sculpture Ugolino and His Sons, and felt consumed by its grief. So I guess Iβm only retarded in certain particular ways.

So... I've definitely taken a hiatus from writing cards over the past year or so. However, I decided to get back into it today. I have 15 of these holiday cards available, and I am looking forward to exchanging them since my PO box has been full of bank statements and tuition bills. My only caveat is that you're a flaired user, since I have done exchanges in the past where I sent cards out to another RAOCer, yet I received nothing in return.
To the ones who have exchanged with me before, you all know the drill. Simply comment down below so that other people can keep track of how many cards are left (just in case I can't update the post in time), and send me a PM with your first name & last initial, mailing address, and country (if you're outside the US). I'll also send you my information as well!
2021 has been a very busy year for me, but I am looking forward to at least sending and receiving cards this holiday season.

Does anyone have an address for this venue? There was a show last night that I wanted to go to but they don't have their address posted anywhere online and didn't answer when I tried DMing them on IG π
