I applied for Engineering and received my offer this morning but apparently only have two weeks to decide on whether I want to enrol or not? I did not see anything about this on the application website and it wasn't mentioned when I was talking to admissions or being interviewed as a shortlisted candidate. I find it especially strange that the deadline to apply is in June but I don't get until then to make a decision. I have applied outside of Europe to the United States and Canada and wouldn't even hear back from then until around March, having to turn down UCR simply because of this would really suck given how much work I put into my application and the whole process.
I can accept, reject or indicate not sure in response to my admissions invitation. It might also be possible to pay the enrolment fee to save my spot but then withdraw later on. Any advice?
I very much love physics, biology and chemistry and I have a hard time choosing in which field to specialise. I was thinking of doing the DKE programme at Maastricht, because it is a part of compsci that I like and I could apply in many fields so I wouldn't feel trapped in one science.
Then I learned about university college programmes which are combine more fields so I'm thinking maybe one would be a good idea.
Could anyone who attended such a programme describe their experience? I'm trying to figure out if it'd be a good match for me...
For people that have studied/study at UCR, which building would you recommend for housing? My initial choice was Koestraat (https://dewoonuniversiteit.eu/en/koestraat/) as the service fees are a bit cheaper than Bachtensteene(https://dewoonuniversiteit.eu/en/bach2/), but I got slightly turned off after seeing its smart cubes (there seems to be barely any space for showering). How bad are those cubes? another pro for Koestraat would be that some rooms already have a fridge so I wouldn't have to buy it.
I'd really appreciate if any students would give me any advice. I chose those two because they both have single studios and because of their location. Should i go with my initial choice of Koestraat or spend a bit more on Bachtensteene?
Hello, I'm an international student looking to study in the Netherlands.
I've applied to and received a conditional offer from University College Twente, Roosevelt, and Groningen.
How do they compare? It's quite hard to find information cause they are smaller universities so it'd be great to get some first-hand opinions.
Hi! I was wondering if anyone had insight on what it's like in either programs or thoughts on them?
I was wondering if anyone can speak to the courses/professors/practicum experience at either program. I wasn't able to attend Xavier University's interview day, so I don't know as much about what it's actually like in Cincinnati or at the school. I have some funding from both programs, so I wouldn't be paying full tuition at either one.
I know Xavier has better numbers when it comes to licensure (~94% compared to Roosevelt's 87%), but I would have a support system outside of my cohort/program if I were to end up in Chicago (relatives who live just out of the city, friends who live in the city, etc.).
I'm really just looking for insight on what it's like being in the program and how students felt the program helped them or what improvements they could see for either!
Noticed the location on by ladonnnna's instagram and I called the auditorium to confirm. now when will the tickets be available??
Hi! I'm an American high schooler who's really interested in studying in the Netherlands, and I was wondering if anyone attends or is an alumnus of University College Roosevelt. I'm really intrigued by the school, so it would be wonderful to know more about how students feel about the education they receive, the student community, and what it's like to live in Middelburg as a whole.
If anyone has any thoughts on UCR or Middelburg or any tips about studying in/moving to the Netherlands, it would be much appreciated! Thank you, and stay safe and healthy!!
