A list of puns related to "Resveratrol"
Hi everyone, my husband has been dealing with COVID long haul symptoms for close to two years. I just wanted to share that he recently started taking Resveratrol (in addition to fish oil, PQQ, magnesium, Quercetin, and CoQ10) and for the first time in two years he has gone three days without symptoms. Iβm hoping itβs a long term trend. Anyone else taking Resveratrol notice a positive change?
Edit: His symptoms have been POTS, left side chest pain, shortness of breath, heart palpitations

11:57 NAD+ discovered 100 years ago by Germans looking at extracts in yeasts.
12:30 NAD+ most abundant molecule in the body and activates sirtuins.
12:56 As we get older we make less NAD+ and we destroy more, leading to decline in ability to fight off aging.
14:30 NR can raise NAD+ levels in blood and is shown to be safe.
16:20 NR to NAD+.Β Goes to cell, adds phospate to NMN, then NAD
17:18 A study on yeast showed a life extension of 30% on NR. Improvements in health, mitochondria, energy, lower inflammation.
18:20 No studies showing life extension in humans with NR.
18:50 Why not just b3? Β Doesnβt raise NAD+ as much.Β NMN is best. Closer to NAD+ is better.
20:00 10 days to reach peak NAD increase Β
20:30 Few studies with positive results for NR in humans.Β Mainly decreased inflammation.Β Fails on blood glucose, insulin sensitivity, increase mito.Β Maybe too short, or maybe not working.Β Good for inflammation. NR + Ptero, improved ALS.
22:00 Why not just take NMN.Β NR is cheaper to make, and that is why people started using NR at first.Β He had no favorite, but found NMN just works better - observed. Β NMN works better than NR.
23:00 Β NAD also has difficulty entering some cells. Neurons take it up.Β Thats important and may explain IV NAD
24:50 Mice do live longer on NMN - 10-15% Β - better than NR
27:00 NMN in humans - in his study (with MIB626) no results until 2022.
28:30 Other labs have shown that NMN protects organs - kidney and heart when theyβre damaged. Many people undergoing heart surgery suffer from kidney damage.***
29:00 There are other NAD+ boosters even better than NMN. NCEs. In the next year - weβll have human studies. New chemical entities are patent-protected pharmaceutical compounds.***
30:00 why not NAD+ directly?Β Lots of NAD+ drips in fl and la.Β No placebo controlled trials, but he says so much anecdotal evidence. Makes sense it works.
32:15 Started with Yeast - found NAD doesnβt work.
33:34 - Β Β Bioavailability - Β Β Just swallowing it is enough - raises NAD 2 x. Β Β Sublingual may work better.Β Hasnβt seen proof
37:00 - Resveratrol. Original work looking for sirt1 activators found resv was best, but quercetin and fisetin do as well
38:29 How much resveratrol to see an effect? 250mg a day. Insoluble in water. Mix with fats.
38:55 How to take resveratrol. Itβs Insoluble so it needs to be mixed with food.

Hi there,
I came accross David Sinclair's work recently and decided to give it my best shot.
So far I've quit alcohol and smoking on the 1st of January. Hoping to keep alcohol to a very minimum in the future ie only social occasions like birthdays and weddings. I used to drink 4 days a week out of boredom during the pandemic.
I started 20:4 Intermittent fasting 5 days a week and 18:6 on weekends. Also cut down carbs about 80%.
I'm taking daily vitamin, cod liver oil and probiotics supplements.
Bought a bicycle to get my fitness up.
Right now I'm shopping for NMN and Resveratrol. I'm still considering metformin and statin.
My question is NMN and Resveratrol etc only intended for people in their 40s / 50s? Would they be wasted on a 28 year old? I've always needed at least 9 hours of sleep to function so I was hoping NMN would reduce that.
Let me know your thoughts and any additional tips if you have any!
Thanks.
I don't want to use Amazon because it is hard to distinguish the real stuff vs the fake stuff
Does anyone have a sense of whether it makes a difference if you mix vesv powder in with yogurt or simply take a rest vera trawl capsule and then eat the yogurt. Do they end up mixed together anyway down there or is it better to get the powder really worked into the yogurt? My understanding of the fine-grained dynamics of the Digestive system is just about Nil.
Listening to the David Sinclair podcast. They talk about pulsing and he mentions that the rats that took resveratrol every other day live much longer. It is implied that he pulses his supplements. He then, later, state that he takes 1g of resveratrol a day. Does anyone have any further insight into if he does pulse resveratrol and if maybe it is not every other day but some longer pulse. Maybe I just missed that in the podcast?
I started taking NMN, sublingual, and am realizing I really should add resveratrol. Two questions. 1) I'm also intermittent fasting, does anyone have a sense of how much fat you need to mix this with? 2) If you need to ingest significant calories of fat, is it reasonable to take the resv. later in the day, with a late lunch? Oh, maybe one more, 3) I think it's ok to take a capsule with the fat, instead of mixing powder in directly--yes? Thanks for any advice!
Hey all! Listened to the podcast with David Sinclair and obviously am now trying to get my hands on 1g dosage of NMN and Resveratrol. Does anyone know of a trusted manufacturer? I checked Thorne but their dosage is super low and mixed with other ingredients.
Does anyone know of a quality NMN and resveratrol capsule? Iβm currently taking one that honestly may be fine but Iβve found no independent results. Iβve looked at others but then found they had ZERO NMN in lab testing. If possible Iβd prefer to stick with capsules rather then raw and I like the combo because I already take 20+ pills/capsules a day Thanks!
Iβm three days into resveratrol, 300 mg with some yogurt first thing in the morning, and find that Iβm having some stomach trouble that starts a couple of hours after that. Any advice on this? Iβd like to increase the dose and not sure if time will help with the adjustment or if Iβm just too sensitive to it. Itβs not bad, for now just a little uncomfortable, but Iβm not optimistic about higher doses.
Iβve been using TOβs Pycnogenol for close to a year now, I think, and I really like it. I read on this sub that others have tried mixing the Pycnogenol and Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% and said the combination was amazing, so I decided to give it a try.
On the Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% bottle/directions it says you can mix it with other treatments to enhance their antioxidant capacity significantly, so I assumed this meant to mix with other antioxidants like Pycnogenol, but I got on TOβs website to check out other conflicting products to avoid when using Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% and on their conflicts sheet it says NOT to use other antioxidants at the same time with Pycnogenol or Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%.
Do you know what this is all about? Iβm really confused now lol.
What do you guys think about replacing resveratrol with pterostilbene. Any brand recommendations?
I've seen in a couple of places that quercetin can make resveratrol more available, but the reason why was only briefly touched on and I'm pretty sure is beyond me. Does anyone know about this or have experience with taking both?
I had the idea to gift NMN and Resveratrol to my grandparents for Christmas. However, I would also need to educate them on it. They both have cancer and take tons of meds, so they would have to check with their doctors too.
Is this a bad gift idea? Their health has been really bad lately, so I thought supplements that reduce pain and give energy would be a good idea. But also, I don't want there to be some side effect that harms them, so I'm not sure. What do you all think?
I am 31, I am planning to start using it daily, in hopes that I will stay alive for 150-200 years..
Now there are lots of companies out there... who should I assume is selling genuinely NMN ???
Hi guys, for the life of me I canβt figure out if I can mix my water based geek and gorgeous ascorbic acid vitamin c serum with the ordinary resveratrol & ferulic acid serum which is an anhydrous while carrying on with the rest of my routine with water based serums as Iβve always been told that anhydrous serums should be last but I wanted to mix both serums to boost efficiency and create a powerful antioxidant mix
I've been on Vinia for about a month and I just ordered a 3 month supply of Tru Niagen. I'm just curious if anyone else has paired the two? If so, any noticeable effects?
Has anyone had improvement with resveratrol?
Resveratrol HUMAN Studies From DAVID SINCLAIR | My Response
P.S. IMHO, resveratrol being one of the most praised/least efficient substances existing (most probably studies being funded by the alcohol π· industry)
Not seeing the "hype" for this supplement these days
I use it from time to time. I feel subtle energy from it. Nothing groundbreaking. But helps with some mental processing and focus
Anybody else still using this supplement?
I'm looking for a new serum to incorporate into my routine. My skin is between dry/dehydrated and normal, acne-prone, occasionally sensitive. For actives, I currently rotate between vitamin C serum and retinol. I read that resveratrol and coenzyme Q10 are more for prevention, so some people may not see visible results.
Wondering if anyone got obvious signs of ageing (before incorporating either ingredient) got visible improvements after including them in your routine? And if so, please share brand and product name.
Thanks!

I really wanted to get your guys opinions on these videos. I am very confused. I just watched a video with David Sinclair with Andrew Huberman speaking very highly of these compounds. I than watched these videos and now has me questioning if these should be taken at all. Would love some insight and your thought.
