Resident Evil 2 Puns

I loved village reminded me of resident 4 but with snow and similar underground lab/factory level and resident 2 remake is so good because not only is it three person but it explores how Leon became who he is in 4

So I just finished Resident Evil 2 remake and I just loved it. The characters and story are just amazing and I loved playing the second story as Claire and getting a whole new perspective! This also happen to be the first time I play a Resident Evil game.

When finishing the second story I found out there are like 4 extras missions. Are these worth playing or are they the same story again with other characters?

I just finished Resident Evil Village. It's the first RE game I've played to completion, the other one being 7 (was way too pussy to finish lol).

I've heard Capcom did a fantastic job remaking the 2nd one in the series. I've never played it before, so I have no nostalgic attachment/incentive to dive in, but I was very impressed with 8 and kinda want to try 2 while it's on sale ($13 on PSN). I remember so many YouTube videos and articles praising it and saying that Capcom was at the top of their game with this.

As a caveat, there are some things I didn't enjoy too much in 8. I got stuck on some puzzles because I had to backtrack. This is usually a massive turn off for me in games, but I didn't mind TOO much in Village because I was eventually able to figure it out without a guide. I've heard this is a stable in the RE series. I also liked not worrying about resources too much (ammo, health, etc. on normal), even if the game turns into a straight action shooter in the final hour.

I usually play shooters (Overwatch, Borderlands, COD Cold War Zombies) or platformers. The only horror games I've played and completed are Dead Space 1 + 2, Outlast 1 + 2, Until Dawn, and RE 8. Will I be into this?
