I’m DIY fishing in SC for redfish on a kayak and still haven’t had any luck. Still have only caught flounder after probably 8-10 trips out.
I’m wondering if I’ll have more luck blind casting with an intermediate of sink tip line. Does anyone have any advice? I have a feeling I’m not getting my fly in front of the fish with a floating line.

Rod recommendations: I have a Daiwa BG 4000 and I really dislike the stock rod; super stiff and too small for the reel. I fish inshore (some surf) and this is my heavier rod but, mainly a snook and redfish rod. I want to replace it and thinking Fenwick. Any other options in the $100 range?
