We are two developers who recently released an app called 'Metriport' - a personal data analytics and tracking app. We made it with the self-quantification community in mind, and have been using it in our personal lives for all of our self-tracking needs.
We are very curious to see what other people in the self-quantification community think of Metriport, and if there's anything we can do to make it better. We are just getting started, so any and all feedback is welcome, as we will be continuing to develop the app and release updates in the coming weeks!

I was looking for some kind of breakdown. Something like triathlon is 10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will ... okay but seriously. In your opinion how would you divide it up (% cardio, % diet, % sleep, % weight training, % stretching etc etc). What I am looking for is some way to make a workout scorecard so if I had good sleep but bad weight training was that an acceptable tradeoff? If not when does that transition occur?
Hi all. Just needed to find the quantity of drywall in a 7 story building, and one of the floor plans for a single story is attached below.
Would it be safe to assume that the DOTTED poche indicates places where drywall would be located? What about the interior walls? I assume drywall would be placed there as well? If the latter is the case, then what is the purpose of the dotted line? Thanks in advance for your time!
ALSO I can't seem to find the floor height on the document. Is there a specific place that I need to look? Thanks!

I’m pretty new to sabermetrics but I’d like to express my frustration around the communication of baseball statistics.. in particular around the communication (or lack thereof) of uncertainty.
It’s really important to know the full distribution (or a 95% credible interval at least) of outcomes when reporting a combined stat like WAR. There is ALWAYS uncertainty and it’s so often never presented.
For example, when comparing players like Trea Turner to Fernando Tatis Jr., what good is it to know that Trea’s 2021 fWAR is 6.9 and Fernando’s is 6.1? This is obviously significant if the uncertainty is plus or minus 0.3, but not that significant at all if the uncertainty is plus or minus 2.3.
Same with the ump scorecards “overall favor” statistic. They should also show a confidence interval around that averaged stat. There’s statistically nothing we can say about an umpire’s bias in a particular game without it.

Hello everyone,
Throughout the last couple of months I have been retrospectively analysing our glioblastoma database to quantify the burden of the current standard of care for glioblastoma patients. Aswell as looking at hemotological toxicity as a result of this treatment and the increase in burden when this occurs. Primarily with the endpoint for neuro-oncologists to provide better information for their patients.
As of now I am analysing the types of visits, increasements in visits (as a result of toxicity), treatment times, ER visits, hospitalizations, transfusions, types of imaging used etc.
Question: Is there anything you would like to be quantified/studied about the burden of this particular treatment? Or do you feel like there is an important factor I should definitely study?
Note: I am not looking at the psychological/psychiatric burden of this disease/treatment, as that is too complex to be added as a secondary endpoint.
I pretty much have already understood the sequence-based peptide fingerprinting concept in Tandem MS. However, I have read that it is also possible to perform peptide identification and even quantification using only MS1. How does that work (especially the identification part)?
Additionally, is it possible to perform protein identification using only the MS1/ LC-MS data? How does that work?
Lastly, what are the perceived advantages of using only LC-MS for peptide identification and quantification vs. using Tandem MS?
(I don't know much about quantum physics, so bear with me) gravity is the distortion of space around any object with mass, and evades quantification due to lack of a known particle (say, a graviton) unlike the other 3 fundamental forces of the universe. But, since the planck is the smallest possible distance between two points of space, wouldn't that mean that space (and thus gravity) is quantized with the planck length being a "reality pixel" like a particle? Sorry if I made any physicists here cringe, it is just a thought I had.

I am looking for feedback or pointers on 2 questions
- Are there any Mobile Heatmapping tools that can be used Pre-coding - i,e,. in design validation phase? (could you please point me to a few.)
- As a PM have you thought of a need of heatmapping tool or some way to quantify and understand performance of initial designs?
Background:
I have worked as a designer and then moved to product management. Have conducted numerous design validation studies myself during both roles. However I feel, it is a bit challenging to capture any quantitative data during pre-coding phase, most of the feedback is qualitative - which makes a little harder to convince the stakeholders/management, specially for any design changes that might be needed.
I know of tools like Hotjar which allows this exact same thing to be tracked...but only after the website or app has been coded.
I havent come across anything that can be used by Designers /product manager themselves.

Is it expected to get some non-ERCC reads to be aligning to ERCC sequences in scRNA-seq? I can't remember exactly where (biostars maybe?) but I read that if you align just using the ERCC fasta/gtf files alone rather than those files joined with the genomic reference sequences that you might end up with some non-spiked in sequences aligning to an ERCC sequence. Is this the case?
