Can someone please help me understand pure economic loss? I should really already understand this, but it always escapes me.
How can it be that negligence in an architect’s design, which causes damage to a neighbouring property, gives right to a cause of action, but if it causes damage to the property itself, then a future purchaser without a contractual link to the architect is unprotected?
What if the purchaser also buys the neighbouring building (which the architect did not design)? Then, despite buying both properties, the purchaser would still only be able to claim in respect of the neighbouring building? Even if the hypothetical damage was caused to both buildings?
I’ve been told the explanation may lie in caveat emptor, but what if the defect in the design is latent? Is it really as simple as “it is the law”? This seems wildly unreasonable and counter intuitive.

To my understanding, the rules which are set out in Caparo and also Hedley Byrne make it a pretty clear area of law.
So why is it considered to be a problematic area?
Apologies if I'm posting this to the wrong subreddit (If I am could you please send me in the right direction) I am trying to find out more information about consequential economic loss, I wish to know whether a claimant being at an economic loss from being physically injured would have a claim in tort law. I know as a general rule economic losses are not recoverable through tort law set out in the case of Spartan Steel & Alloys Ltd v Martin & Co however if the injuries sustained are to the person themselves instead of machinery how does this affect the matter? Any help or advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
I am trying to get an increase on an EIDL Loan. I was asked for a 2019 P&L statement. Now they're asking for a 2020 P&L. Is it true that if I don't show an economic loss in 2020 or it will be declined. But at the same time, they told me my 2019 P&L had to show enough to pay the loan payments. It's like a Catch-22. How can a business show both "economic injury" and enough profit to pay the debt service at the same time?

I am not optimistic about Hbar price, as Hbar is a utility coin, which is highly associated with economy. If economy is bad, HBar price should not be good either.
Please correct me with logical reasons if I am wrong.
I'm by no means a defi expert but I (kinda) know how impermanent loss (IL) works. I played a bit with those online calculators and to be honest, even seeing how serious the numbers of the IL can get with one of the paired coins plummeting and the other pumping, I still cannot understand why everybody is so worried about IL when having the insane yields we are having these early days in DFK, which are still in the thousands per cent.
A good example of what I'm asking is the JEWEL/MIS pool. Basically when the pool launched few days ago the ratio JEWEL : MIS started at about 1:1 while now it has fallen to 3.6 : 1 which implies an IL pretty heavy of about 20%. But the rewards are so insane that you get 10% daily if you include the locked rewards, which are in JEWEL (considering actual price, which I know is another variable to consider), or about 1% in unlocked rewards, still daily. Besides MIS can recover and getting out of the pool now looks very stupid because then IL will become PL!
What's your thoughts about it? Where's the threshold of the convenience in terms of gains made via rewards and losses taken via IL?
I read that bone conduction testing is needed to determine if there are issues in the middle ear. Yet my doctor only conducted air pure tone (listen to sounds through regular headphones and raise hand when I hear them) and diagnosed me with sensorineural hearing loss (inner ear).
How does she know it's this type of hearing loss, that there is damage in the inner ear, if she didn't conduct the bone conduction or other tests? How does she know it's not an issue with the middle ear muscles or ossicles with just this test?
Note: She destroyed my ears with microsuction. This was months ago. Reason why I'm wondering if she even had any clue what she was doing with the hearing test itself afterwards.

Currently i am doing a heavy theoretical focused master in Colombia. The master Is focus on economic research with substancial math component. My micro, macro and econometric went trought topology, real analysis, advanced calculus, large sample theory, etc. Honestly i am more inclined to a full theoretical career, in gamer theory, or econometrics. I want to reinforce this with a pure math master (i would love a PhD in math or staristics Aldo) in a reasonable good univesity in USA or Europe. I have no time or resources for a math bachelor. I wonder if my background Is enought for this, or any advice about this. I have reasonable chance to survive such programs?
Even if I took the course at a top university like LSE?
