24 year old key fob was falling apart but still works. Printer and cad to the rescue.
Printers Quoins - used with a special "Quoin Key", these little expanding blocks come in a huge range of sizes and lengths and are used to hold metal type inside a chase ready for printing. The correct pressure must be applied against every line to prevent letters falling out or shifting.
I know it's not much but i thought it was mildly cool, I picked them up from the printers yesterday, what d'ya think ? (I have key items and chalices and rune too!)

Had to try an experiment with my new HHKB Hybrid S. The keys were printed on an HP MJF 580 full color 3d printer, from some Leopold keycap models. They have a really nice sound to them and are very grippy to the touch. After printing I clear coated the keycaps.
I'm getting a 3d printer soon and I'm planning on building a split board. I've got this layout, as I want to have as few keys as possible but I don't want to use things like tap-dance since I may use it for gaming. I was just wondering if anyone who has a similar board had any tips/improvements?

The rubber cover broke off so I designed and printed a new cover for my key buttons using my homemade 3d printer, it's not beautiful but it works.

Found a Dymo Labelwriter 4XL with 4 250 label rolls for $10 at a garage sale. I didn't even care if I found anything good after that. That made my weekend.

Well until I learn Cad this will have to do. I’m sure there is a washer file for this belt tensioner but still waiting on parts to put my printer together and this way I will never lose my key again!
Messing around with a 3D printer. The key needed a little clean up and tighter tolerances in the bitting area but it worked. No way the key would withstand much bolt retraction etc. I imagine if I traced that to a blank it would work. v.redd.it/iy7z5myz6sl51
Grandfathers Microscope that I haven't seen in 30 years. I think this is the key. It has a bit of spring when it turns, but won't open. Bad mechanism, bad key... who knows. Tried printing the MC dungeons key on my cr10-s and some layers are completely messed up and the bottom few even come off (recently took the controll box apart and built it under the printer) it printed fine untill a few days ago and I don't know what the problem is

My printer came with an "everything you need" tool kit to build the printer. It consisted of 2 tiny screwdrivers and an Allen key.....this is pic is of the tools I ACTUALLY had to use in order to build the printer.
