A list of puns related to "Post Office Telecommunications"
Edit: Also is Ham Radios possible?
Because I'm not one to love surprises on my cell phone bill, I wanted to give you guys at /r/ting a heads up about a new tax that you might see on your Ting bill. To call it a new tax is a bit disingenuous; It's more apt to say we're collecting it now, when we hadn't been before.
It's called the Federal Telecommunications Relay Services Fund. You can read more about it here, but the long and short of it is that it's a program to help people with hearing or speech disabilities place and receive phone calls, through an intermediary call center.
The total collected goes directly to the US Federal Government to pay for the relay services. In most cases, the total will be less than a dollar.
This is not like AT&T's Admin fee hike. This is an actual tax we're legally obligated to remit on your behalf.

The government of Eswatini, having spent many months working on sensible policies and getting around Royal obstructionism, has finalised one of the major promises of reforms for the country.
"Eswatini Post and Telecommunications (EPT) has held back our country for too long! It has enriched the few who rule it, the Princes and their friends, at the expense of the many! It was a farce, a fairy tale told by the King, that EPT was owned by 'the people' - it was not, and is not! It is a lie, and a great one, that we Swazis 'controlled EPT'. We were dependent on the whims of the powerful for their gasps of data and connectivity. No more! Today, I announce the dismantling of the EPT, into a truly people-run service, making no profit, to serve the poorest communities, while to the city-dwellers I say, you may have your competitive markets - may you be happy with them!" - Maxwell Dlamini
EPT will henceforth be run as a state-owned corporation targeted at providing connectivity services to the rural poor, but Eswatini will open up the market for both postal services and telecommunications to international competition. Simply put, no regulations on data transmission will apply except for a set of simple requirements:
Apart from this - from today, the market is open.
TLDR at bottom.
I told myself 2 months ago, when I graduated, that I will find help if I am not employed yet, so what better way than through Reddit!
Hi everyone, I'm a graduate in Telecommunications and Networking, which is a Diploma program based off of Electrical Engineering. The school I graduated from is well-known for exposing their students to hands-on practice in their field, having a lab every day of the week, to help prepare them for their careers. Most employers in my province (Canadian) know this very well, and is why for most jobs our school is the most hired.
Now comes my dilemma. It's been 2 months and I've applied for more than 30 jobs, with only 3 or 4 callbacks since. Only 2 of which I have had an interview for, but have failed. Even before graduation, there were recruiters from NavCanada (Aviation Regulation), RCMP (Canadian Police Force [Government Job]), and Industry Canada (Varied jobs [Government Job]) who came to our school looking for potential candidates and all of which I made the cut. Both Industry and RCMP had entrance exams, in which I both passed.
The problem came with the secondary interviews. Most job interviews in my field are competency-based, something I haven't had much experience with. However, a course in my last semester of school was dedicated to helping us job search and taught us the basics of these types of interviews and I am aware aware of the STAR method when answering them, as well as answering with common sense as these are scenarios. However, I think my introverted personality makes my answers falter since it does not seem that my answers got through to them. I do stutter a bit and speak a bit fast at times, so it sort of makes me seem I am over-emphasizing/lying. After the interviews, I did email the HR and interview team to thank them for the interviews.
In the end, I was not hired for RCMP or NavCanada and am currently waiting on Industry Canada's response.
I emailed both interview teams to ask them for advice on how to improve my interviews for the future and had a response from the RCMP team
As for right now, I'm currently getting no hits with my Resume and Cover Letter, and am in need of help reviewing them. I have posted them in their respective subreddits.
Any help from anyone is quite appreciated!

... keep reading on reddit β‘Austrians just lost a big part of their privacy!since last year all SIM cards are registered to a person. Now A1, an Austrian Telco Company, submits location data of all their users to the Government. Meaning they donβt only know where people are but also who these people are. Combined with residence data the Government can check if citizens break the national exit lock caused by the Corona Virus.
This is a huge thing in my opinion, Orwellβs World gets more accurate every day. We need to fight for our privacy!

Half of my income comes from selling on eBay. If the Post Office closes down I will no longer be able to sell on eBay. No other shipping service can you send a video game across the country for under $4. UPS and FedEx prices are absolutely ridiculous unless you're shipping big, heavy items. I can't believe a staple of the United States may really disappear. I'm incredibly disgusted and disappointed with everything I'm hearing right now regarding the Post Office.
I found out today that the customs forms (2976) at the US Postal Service have tracking numbers on them. So, when I shipped a gift overseas today, I paid $24 for First-Class shipping instead of $50+ for Priority, and just used the tracking number from the customs form instead. Since that saved me $26 on one package, I wanted to pass it along to anyone else who might be sending holiday gifts abroad.
EDIT: for anyone interested, the package took 7 (calendar) days to get from the US to Portugal using First Class Shipping.
Also, a few people mentioned PirateShip.com so I mailed a (domestic/US) pkg with them to try. It was less than half the price of USPS (USPS.com was $9+, Pirate Ship was $4+). I will be using them again, thanks for the heads-up!
Thread of the user explaining he'd been fired.
Mod sticky on a now pinned post (about how home office is watching, and how to follow basic anonymity protocol) that the mod believes they have any semblance of power in the company RE: unionization.
Lots of memes about unionization and home office creeping ensues.
Enjoy!
Edit 1: This post seems to be the post in question that got OP fired. He deleted the post but didn't delete the pictures off imgur.
Here are the pictures in case he deletes his
Thanks to u/KassandraComplex for finding this!
